Absolutely shocking! No communication or updates from someone who overestimates her qualifications, professional status and ability i.e. a jumped up paralegal who wouldn't last a minute in a proper academic and/or scientific work environment.

David Armstrong never fails to impress us. Always on the ball and up to date with everything. We have used David for many, many years and it’s a great comfort to know he’s only an e mail or call away. Prices are spot on. Thanks

Take forever to do anything. No communication just have to wait until they can be bothered to deal with you charge a fortune for nothing.

I am disappointed that you feel the service offered has been inadequate. I would ask that you contact your solicitor or myself, Mr Armstrong, to discuss your concerns. As your review is anonymous, and I don't know who you are, I am unable to contact you to discuss this.

I was involved in a lengthy and difficult family law case with Pauline Ward and found her advice and guidance invaluable. On several occasions when things had been particularly challenging for me, Pauline would take the time to talk to me and more importantly listen to my concerns. I believe she goes beyond what one would expect of a solicitor. With my case being a lengthy I felt I got to know Pauline reasonably well and have no qualms of recommending her to anyone who requires a first class lawyer.

I have used Neill Clerk & Murray a couple of times now and I can honestly say I have received 100% sound professional advice throughout.
It was the best decision I took when I received advice from a close friend to contact the above solicitors.
I fully recommend Neill Clerk & Murray to anyone who needs sound professional advice.
Divorce

My previous law firm quit the divorce case, in which I was the defender. I then approached several law firms none of whom wished to take on the case; too busy, case too far advanced or they thought my position was untenable.
I met with Mrs Ward of Neill Clerk & Murray who quickly got to grips with the situation and what it was I was trying to achieve in the case.
Mrs Ward is a courageous lawyer with great people skills that puts people at their ease. As I was out of the country during much of the later stages of the case she handled it all by e-mail and telephone. At critical times in the case she even took calls from me outwith normal office hours to accommodate the time difference of the country where I was staying.
I would highly recommend Mrs Ward if you find yourself in the position of needing a divorce lawyer.
Her support staff also performed very well in handling the smooth flow of documents in the case.

Very disappointed- requested legal letter which was poorly drafted and was factually incorrect. When I provided comments- I got charge for them to review and issue a second letter (which was basically what I had written) and charged me for the privilege. To top it off wanted to charge £80 for free initial consultation and when I objected stated since I was unhappy they declined to act and send out the letter! Shocking behaviour

How funny is this - they have no complaints procedure and they investigate themselves. Funnily enough when they do this they always find in their own favour - they are never at fault! And they do not not want you to take this any further! Furthermore they should be given allowances for their own shortcomings and you have to just put up with it and shut up! Seem to have the same customer service standards as a Highwayman/ Pirate.

Hugh Crawford the managing partner's behaviour has deteriorated over the course of the past year. His behaviour is completely unprofessional, not responding to letters, refusing to take calls etc. Does not take kindly to clients complaints about him and comes up with every excuse in the book for not getting the job done. Appears to throw his dummy out of his pram when you stand up to him. I would not recommend this individual or Firm to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I would give them a negative 5 star rating. It appears that i am not alone in my views!

I agree with the other reviewers, Crawford is completely unreliable and unprofessional. It is beyond me how this clown is still practising as a soloicitor. I intend to put a formal complaint to the Law Society of Scotland about his conduct. Very Angry Lady and other reviewers I would suggest you do likewise. Should be no star rating really.

I agree wholeheartedly with the comments/reviews above.
Would never use NCM again. Failure to progress, Failure to advise. I am considering complaining about their very poor performance over 12 months. Mr Hugh Crawford is the executor and the principal partner – do not believe all the bullshit you read about his experience on the internet – he is a complete waste of space – he has caused our family so much grief – he could not give a toss. Really a no star rating.

At first appeared cheery and helpful. However soon became evident that this shower have zero customer service and communications skills. Months and months will go by and still they do nothing on the even the most basic tasks. Never return calls or take complaints seriously. When they do something it is inevitably wrong, yet they still charge as though they were high quality. Do not believe the website where completely empty and meaningless promises are made. My advice is avoid these ‘small time’ pen pushers like the plague and go elsewhere, after all it couldn't be any worse.
