Excellent efficient & professional service. Fee's for updating our property deeds were reasonable, especially when the very quick turnaround is factored in. The instructions of what they needed from us were very clear and easy to follow. All questions were answered quickly and all timelines and processes were clearly explained.

We dealt with Lauren Davies who was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Donna Berry and her team were extremely professional.
They replied without delay to any correspondence, always in the most polite and helpful manner.
They really did make the process so much easier for me and costs were I feel very reasonable.
I can highly recommend them.

The worth service I have come across in my many years of buying and selling properties.

They have no common decency to answer calls, return calls or even acknowledge receipt of emails.

I am thoroughly appalled by the way these guys work. Will not be using Russell Russell again.

The most unreliable, incompetent and unprofessional company I've ever come across (especially the person that handled my case - Mrs JG from the Middleton office). Only weeks after completion was I told that I should've carried out "my own inspection" on the heating system prior to completion as the sellers had not been able to provide boiler service history. She was so insistent on me providing that document but apparently the same doesn't apply to my sellers (I now wonder who she was working for?!). Thanks to you I purchased a house with a dysfunctional heating system in the winter and had to put my family with two infants in that house. The company is so buried in paper, bureaucracy and lingo that you'd be unreasonable to expect them to get anything done in time. I had to intervene on multiple occasions and just go and chase my buyers and sellers solicitors myself otherwise my solicitor was just sitting and waiting in a deadlock for months and months. During my dealings with them I had to make two formal complaints to my solicitors supervisors to neither one of which I received a response. They we simply ignored as the rest of my correspondence. That just shows you that there's really no hope there. She even forgot that I had a Help To Buy Equity loan on the property I was selling and had I not pointed that out she was going to attempt to redeem my loan but not with the correct amount. I wonder if that could've led to further delays or even the whole thing falling through especially when the the person that was purchasing off me was already so sick of all the delays that they'd threatened to walk away "if it doesn't happen this time". Phew, that was a close one! On the times I had no nerves left to sit and wait for a response to my emails and just went to their office to ask for an update my solicitor had to "go to the computer" to look up my file! They are dinosaurs and will disappear as such!

As a broker I am accustomed to dealing with various conveyancing solicitors. Sophie Crompton @ Russell and Russell stands out for me amongst the crowd of conveyancers. Not only is she lovely to deal with and speak to, she is prompt, efficient, eager to get matter completed and resolved and if there are any issues works to a solution quickly too. Overall very happy broker and client. Wish you all the best Sophie.

I would recommend to take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt,as many people that had good experiences don't review the convenyancer after.
We dealt with Hannah Finch in Bolton branch and she struggled to do the procedures as fast as she could.We had ups and downs with the house type and with the lender but at the end everything went fine.
She did not keep us updated but when we asked for an update we always got it asap.
After all she is busy doing work for us.
Legalwise they offered a good advice and they where very knowledgeable.
They have no hidden fees and what we paid we found that it was a good price for the service.
I would definitely recommend them to other people.

They acted for my mum when she became ill. Visited her at home, sorted her care fees and then the sale of her house. Ok they charged for their time but it was not going to be free was it. She was really pleased with them so we were to. Made things easier at a difficult time.

RUSSELL & RUSSELL Solicitors.
It's all about money, no real care and consideration.

Russell & Russell Solicitors do a great deal of marketing regarding Power of Attorney work and special services for the elderly.
They publish accreditations regarding work with the elderly and we were advised to use this firm by Social Services who we will be submitting a full and detailed complaint to so they no longer recommend this firm.

So far the service we have received has been all about how much money Russell & Russell can make for themselves 'down the line' and most definitely not in the best interests for a vulnerable person. The service given so far is most definitely NOT in the best interests of the people they are 'supposed ' to be helping.

Anyone thinking about using Russell & Russell Solicitors are advised to stay well away.

We are now logging complaints with all of the relevant organisations and will run our story in the press to highlight the terrible service provided and warn others to stay well away.

Under the terms of this website where you tick a box it states' you agree with the solicitor?' We do not agree with the service given by this solicitor.

Residential property sale and purchase handled by Zoe Harryman - could not fault the service in any way - absolutely first class. Not the cheapest quote but certainly not the most expensive either. Well worth the fees paid.
