Furthermore they do not update the online case system to inform clients as well as when I log into my account no work at all has been done on my case since 13/5/2013 which was the initial proposed paperwork at the start of the property sale ????.
So shocked to discover this information !!

Extremely unhappy with service. Coming on for 2 months now and nothing really done on case at all. Keep promising to phone back with an update never do and avoid my phones on the matter as well.
Sold many houses it the past never had such shocking service in my life sadly

Almost caused the sale to fall through with long delays, lack of communication and avoiding questions
I had to constantly keep phoning them when after two months there was very little activity.

Found them online was approximately 50 % cheaper than local solicitors so decided to give them ago.
Its been a nightmare from the start, now months down the road and still not exchanged contracts or anything. Really disappointed, been informed today that the seller is withdrawing the contracts. So I am really angry. Some times saving costs doesnt actually do you any favours.
I have called, emailed and chased regularly and still no further in the process. Been a really bad experience and to be frank would never use any of these "Online firms" again
As clearly they have too many cases to work on at anyone time and I actually feel sorry for my appointed solicitor. She is on the front line and needs support with the amount of cases they have to handle on a day to day basis.
But as with all these companies its not the quality if the work its about how many cases they have to balance at anyone time and the more cases the better (More £££ right)
Perhaps the management team could review internal processes and see why things take so long. Simple tasks shouldn't take so long and a simple request should surely be actioned with in a short period of time, rather than taking weeks.
My advise would be to steer clear, who are these people that have left positive reviews? Seriously?
Perhaps if you live locally you do get a first class service. Us online savers have no chance as we cant so easily turn up and demand an answer there and then.
I dont normally leave reviews but i am so angry and frustrated with this situation and feel other people need to be warned before making a decision to use these online companies. Admittedly your not paying for a first rate service but at the end of the day your the customer and a customer deserves a reasonable service right?

Really??? This firm sound awful & I'm glad these people have left reviews (and why do they need to leave their name when it's not required?) telling the truth about them. I need a solicitor and was noticing that all their great reviews are sent out on-line often in multpiles on the same day. Anyone smell a rat here?? Malicious? Look at yourselves first before dissing clients.

I was referred to this buy an agency and all I can say is steer well clear! They were absolutely terrible to deal with. I finally moved in to my new home in November 2011 and I am being chased (march 2012) by inland revenue for my stamp duty which was paid to this terrible solicitor. The solicitor dealing with my purchase was never around to answer my call or emails. I left messages but no reply. I ended up making a complaint to the owners and they took over my file. I was due cash back from my new mortgage which I had to chase several times only to be told "oh yes we didn't notice the payment was sent from the lender!' Good job I was on the ball!!
I have never reviewed a solicitor before as they are mostly the same but I had to air my experience with everyone as I'm so unhappy!

Totally agree with the previous review. I got the same treatment and more!
No communication from them throughout my sale/purchase. They NEVER contacted me.(oh, except when they were signing me up - I should have realised that the poor spelling in their standard letters was a sign on things to come!) Any contact was instigated by me.
I made it clear to them on many occasions that I was unhappy with the service, but nothing changed.
I was allocated a solicitor, then found out he has left - via the estate agent for the house we were buying!
The day we completed, even though they knew we would be on the road as well as packing/loading (I was moving over 60 miles), I didn't hear anything from them - and late afternoon when we had a stop, i just happened to check my email on my iphone - they had actually been emailing me to let me know what was happening! (that was a first! ) How ridiculous is that!? Checking email on the day I moved wasn't high on my list of priorities!
Still owed money from my sale and have unanswered questions - but as usual can't get a response from them.
Would I recommend them? The only recommendation I will give is - run a mile in the opposite direction!!!
1 star only because I had to.

I'm reading all these comments about how fantastic Cooper Ford Law are, but to be honest I feel like I must be using a completely different service because my experience has been terrible.
Staff have consistently been rude, patronising and unhelpful towards me, the solicitor is always away from his desk or out at lunch when I call and he NEVER returns the calls, neither does he respond to my emails - the situation was so bad I had to call up conveyencing UK to get them to call Cooper Ford to speak to me on my behalf just so that I could get an update on what was actually happening with my flat! Even then, they didn't call back until a second reminder from conveyencing UK. I wouldn't have minded if they'd politely given me a valid reason for why things weren't running smoothly, but instead of explaining anything, they just covered things up, fobbing me off each time and turning into robots anytime I asked a direct question. If there is a reason for why they can't talk to me, then I just need to know why!
The icing on the cake is when I called today and was told my solicitor "is out at lunch". Over an hour later I called back, and a different woman answered and said he's "out at lunch". Really??? Either one (or both) of them were lying, or they unwittingly revealed that these solicitors take more than an hour for lunch despite the company being "overloaded with work" as they claimed since the departure of two of their staff.
I also tried calling at 4.30 last night and was told the solicitor was away and to call back at 5. I said "don't you close at 5?" and the response was "yes, but we'll make sure your call is answered". I called back at 5, and I got an answerphone message: "Sorry, but our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Please call back at these hours."
I've been so horrified by the weird little games that the people in this company seem intent on playing on their clients and I will not be recommending this firm to anybody.
