Once again, Adrian of Curwens has saved the day. Having previously had the support from Adrian when my back was against the wall with a particularly difficult eviction, I had no hesitation in consulting with Adrian in respect of a case of proprietary estoppel. Adrian was quick to give an appraisal of our case prior to an arranged mediation zoom meeting. Thanks to his advice a deal was struck at mediation saving potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds in high court costs. Sincerely Adrian many thanks for all your help and advice.

Have always found the service and advice from Curwens to be good the firm having solicitors who specialise in various areas. Adrian offered very clear, concise and sound advice which we were very comfortable with. He kept us informed of progress in a timely manner. Throughout, Adrian was also very conscious of attempting to keep costs to a reasonable level which we appreciated. We would highly recommend both Curwens and Adrian.

Whenever I need a new professional service, I research and check their Google reviews.  Recently I needed legal advice concerning a property issue and instead of using Google reviews, I asked a contact for a recommendation.  Curwens were recommended to me.  I called their office and asked if it would be possible to speak to someone.  I was expecting to be asked to send my request by email.  The friendly Receptionist transferred me to Adrian Boulter.  Adrian gave me some honest and frank advice with the pros and cons and answered all my questions.  I really wasn't expecting so much feedback.  I cannot praise the service or Adrian enough.  His advice was sincerely appreciated.  I will definitely go to Curwens with any future issues.  Thank you Adrian.

I used Bradley from Curwens LLP to deal with a sale and purchase, I not only found Bradley to be exceptionally knowledgeable but also responsive, due diligent and nothing was overlooked and or too much trouble. Even on the day of completion when Bradleys assistance dealt with the same, we had an issue with the other side, and Bradley quickly picked up the file and ran with it ensuring that we were able to move in to our new home.

Bradley has acted as a sound board and has gone over and above that of what our last lawyers offered not to mention I have already recommended him to several friends who are looking to move before the stamp duty holiday change.

I cannot recommended Bradley highly enough he and his team are GREAT!

I have been working with Curwens for the last 16 months on a new build purchase Bradley had handled this with due care and attention, I have been kept up to date with information as and when asked. I also have a friend who has exchanged on the same new build scheme that has not been able to retract due to poor drafting and advice, however, Bradley imputed clauses in to the contracts to protect his clients where as others did-not.

Bradley and his team including Ciara a paralegal have demonstrated a clear bias to protect clients interest, and I am so great full for the protection they have given.

mistakes from the developers lawyers and Bradley’s keen eye have ensured our protection.

Sadly I had no option but to retract from the purchase recently due to the developer not being able to complete matters in time, and as set out by Bradley the deposit funds have been returned and credited back to me leaving me on the hunt for a new property.

Without a shadow of doubt I have no hesitation in recommending Curwens to anyone on the lookout for a top notch law firm.

I needed a solicitor to help me resolve a difficult and distressing matter. The solicitor I found at Curwens was forthright about the potential difficulties and costs but also advocated the most simple and direct methods first. He was thorough and acted with immediacy. Within the hour he phoned back with what sounds like very good news. I would not hesitate to recommend this particular solicitor and the practice in general to anybody who needs this kind of help. This has been my best interaction with any solicitor over my lifetime. Very Highly Recommended.

Our dispute over an access road had dragged on for ages. Our neighbours maintained their right to use this road and it was only after we'd spoken to Adrian Boulter that we realised that there were solutions to the problem and that we could sort it out once and for all.
Once we knew what our rights were, we were able to come to an agreement with our neighbours. Time and money well spent.

My partner and I were facing difficulty with illegalaties concerning our rental home. We were very close to admitting defeat when our friend, Adrian Boulter, helped us out massively. Adrian is a huge asset to Curwens. He treated the case in a way in which i could never have imagined. Adrian worked very quickly and was very good at explaining all the intricacies and details of the case. If I ever needed help, Adrian was always readily available and was more than happy to help. For more than 20 years, we have suffered at the hands of an incompetent, intransigent and greedy Freeholder who consistently failed to properly maintain the building in which our flat is located, whilst simultaneously over-charging for shoddy repairs that were undertaken to the building. This combined with a decreasing lease length, made it progressively difficult to sell.

Ian Anderson at Curwens was absolutely brilliant whilst undertaking several conveyancing transactions on buy-to-let flats on our behalf. Despite Ian's warning that the Freeholder's blatant disregard for properly maintaining this once magnificent Grade II listed building were likely to continue should we continue with our purchase of this flat, we naively accepted the written assurance from the Freeholder, confirmed in writing by the professional management company that the contract was being imminently transferred over to them. The promised transfer for the building's future maintenance away from the Freeholder didn't materialise for almost another 15 years, by which time the continuing deterioration to the fabric of the building had made it increasingly difficult to sell our flat, or rent it out. Our difficulties were further exacerbated by the Freeholder consistently refusing to enter into negotiations to extend our lease.

Ian's remarkable depth of knowledge, experience and professionalism eventually led us to speak to Adrian Boulter at Curwens in order to try and find a way of extricating ourselves from the difficult impasse which we had eventually found ourselves entangled in. We believe Adrian's professionalism, depth of knowledge and the patient manner in which he unstintingly gave of his time in answering our questions and allaying our concerns, could not be improved upon.

Despite various shenanigans, delaying tactics and gross incompetence by the Freeholder's solicitors, who clearly didn't understand the correct legislative procedures and time limits that applied, Adrian managed to successfully negotiate our lease extension at substantially less cost than the Freeholders had been demanding. Whilst we were put to the additional expense and costs of applying for a First Tier Tribunal hearing, eventually settled at the last possible minute prior to the Court hearing, Adrian managed to get the other side's inflated costs reduced by about 80%.

We have no hesitation in recommending Adrian Boulter to anyone requiring a lease extension. In fact, we will be utilising Adrian's services for another lease extension in the very near future, although this transaction is anticipated to be much more straightforward, as this Freeholder has undertaken competent management and maintenance of the building and held the charges at the same level for the last nine years.

I was acting for myself with a longstanding service charge dispute and contacted Adrian Boulter to check a few facts and specific points of my case. He acted fast to meet my deadline and gave me solid advice on procedural issues, of which only an experienced litigator would be aware. He was up front about costs and tried to minimise the impact on me, both now and in the future, as he could see I'd already suffered long term distress from the dispute itself. I was given an introduction to A. B. At Curwens, as a source of unbiased professional advice, by someone, to whom I am ever grateful, who was acting on my behalf.
A. B. was extremely knowledgeable, and courteous, and gave me the most useful advice that I have ever been given by a solicitor.
I actually feel that now I shall be able to move forward, the excellent advice after reviewing the problem, was free of charge..
He has instructed me in exactly how to progress with my Legal Problems, and should I have no success with it, is willing to take on the problem.
It is refreshing to know that there are people like A. B. and Curwens Solicitors out there to rely on when problems are created by others.
Should I need a Solicitor, or need to give a recommendation, I would not hesitate to suggest Curwens, and A. B.

Bradley and the whole team have been outstanding in ensuring that my sale and purchase took place. Dealing all my questions and i did have several. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and have already done so to several members of my family and friends. Bradley even arranged to call me late in the evenings when I had no time to speak during the working day. He was very approachable not to mention his ability to think outside the box and his general knowledge to deal with a very complicated lease issue was dealt with in his stride. Re: Landlord/Tenant Dispute.
Throughout the eviction process, Adrian was highly professional and efficient in the service he provided in what proved to be an unexpected complicated eviction due to the actions of the tenant.
Adrian ensured we were fully prepared on hearing day, appointing Barrister Mark Baumohl to fight our case in court, should it be necessary. However after Adrian’s excellent last minute negotiating skills with the tenant, on the day in the court foyer, the tenant agreed to vacate.
I would highly recommend Curwens from beginning to end for any Landlord Tenant dispute. You need to try and get this right first time, so make the right choice, use a firm that knows the rules inside out.

He Managed to win over my 70 YEAR OLD father who had lost faith with many solicitors over the years in our first face to face meeting.He is clear & simple but precise. Okay so I thought all was lost until I spoke to Adrian Boulter at Curwens and he came to my assistance regarding money owed to me by a family member. I honestly thought I had no more options and Adrian gave me advice that has given me an opportunity to rectify what went wrong. Adrian is a straight shooter but his approach with matters has impressed me and I’m not easily impressed. Trust me if there is a way Adrian will find it, I know that whatever happens with his help I’ve done everything possible with his assistance. I strongly believe I will also get my problem solved. Feels good to get another roll of the dice when you feel it’s over. Very professional and I highly recommend him.

We've sold and purchased through Curwens. Bradley Bernett has been fantastic throughout. He's responded helpfully and promptly to our emails, and has a very personable and professional approach.There were a couple of paperwork issues to resolve from our vendor's solicitor's side, and Bradley did so diligently whilst ensuring matters kept moving. I only rang him twice as I know how busy things can get, and both times I got straight through, he had our file to hand and was happy to help. We'd recommend Bradley and Curwens to friends, and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

I used Curwens (Adrian Boulter) to handle a lease extension. The Freeholder, Islington Council, had previously ignored direct communication. I used a valuer/surveyor recommended by Mr Boulter. It all went very smoothly and Curwens costs seemd to me to be pretty reasonable. Yes, I would recommend!

We are having a long running dispute which is being handled by another firm of solicitors, who, for various reasons could not bring about a resolution- this is running into the 11th year

Last year we approached Curwens asking for advise (we had used them in the past and found them to be both professional and efficient)

Adrian was most helpful, providing us with instructions for the other firm, which when implemented has now brought the case to near conclusion (we have been assured that this will happen by the end of Jan)

After nearly 11 years of the other firm procrastinating, this is an amazing result

Thanks again Adrian, we will definitely use Curwens in the future, already recommending you to friends and relatives, one of which has already used your services and is also very happy

I'm a private landlord with a small port folio and a member of the RLA. The RLA sent me a list of solicitor firms as I had an issue with tenants and an AST and I needed advice and I needed it quickly. For various reasons most of the firms on the RLA 'list' were unable to deal with my problem in an easy, prompt and economical manner.

How ever Curwens LLP (Crossfield Ho. Middlesex) thankfully responded to my telephone call very promptly.

Adrian Boulter of Curwens gave me very clear and concise advise. He anticipated all my questions before I even asked so he's clearly very experienced in matters of landlord law. Adrian gave me a clear plan of action ; advising me not only what to do but also not what to do.

All of this was done in a very friendly manner. Excellent.

We were very happy with the help Adrian was able to provide us with, he returned calls promptly and was always happy to go through things several time. He took his time at our meeting and did not make us feel rushed and explained everything in plain, easy to understand terms, which we were grateful for.

I was referred by the sales agents to use Curwens and Bradley. I was purchasing a new build property, and Bradley and his team were excellent. The developer wanted an exchange within 21 days, and Bradley and the team had me ready to exchange within 14 days. They drag with all my questions and issues with speed, and excellent client care. I highly recommend Bradley to anyone looking to purchase a new build flat.

I used Curwens on the recommendation of my estate agent. I had a family lawyer who sadly retired a few years back.

Bradley and Suzan were excellent dealing with all my points, questions and issues in a timely and professional way. I even got lots of smiley faces on my emails. Nothing was to much for them, and I even made a few mistakes myself, which Bradley dealt with in his stride. I was worried to take the plunge on the back of an agents say so, but it was the best choice.

Great work to Curwens and keep doing what you do.

I was recommended to Bradley at Curwens in Enfield, and have found him to be nothing but excellent with dealing with my case, I can see on other comments that he can sometimes be hard to get hold of on the phone and peoples seem to feel that this is a bad or terrible thing. Yes Bradley on a few occasions is not able to take my calls but always 100% of the time either comes back to me or emails me. Do you expect to call your Dr and get through to them immediately... You are lucky if you get hold of someone that month!

I was purchasing a new build property to which was my first purchase in the UK and Bradley certainly achieved the result I wanted in time for the holiday period.

Bradley you are the best and I have already referred several clients to him and I suggest that anyone who reads the negative results and posts actually pick up the phone and call Bradley or email him Bradley.bernett@curwens.co.uk and see how quickly he responds to you.

I will always recommend him to all my family and friends

I’ve used Curwens a number of times and would highly recommend them.
Matthew Taylor was very professional and kept me informed on a regular basis regarding the property I was purchasing.
At no point did I have to chase Curwens for answers and all issues were dealt with in a quick manner by email.

Well what can we say? Bradley was absolutely outstanding dealing with the sale of our property and with the purchase of our new home. We were searching for a year and Bradley was with us every step of the way with first class advice and never too busy to answer our questions, no matter how small. He returned our emails very quickly even just to say that he had heard from us. Without hesitation we would recommend him whole heartily and feel that we would give him six stars if that was possible. Thank you Bradley for making the whole process easy as pie.

Curwens took the stress out of buying our first property and Ian Anderson, along with his outstanding team, was exceptional. The team responded to emails and phone calls within a matter of minutes and were very helpful throughout the whole process, explaining each step and reassuring us when we had any doubts, questions or concerns. Bradley and his team have always exceeded everything that I have needed on the sale and purchases of my properties. Also having a no move no fee facility had worked so well. Especialy in the current market.

Bradley knows how to wade through papers clip problems and arrange alternatives. He always delivered for me. If he was not able to talk then Suzan his pa would always take a message.

I can not recommend him and the team highly enough. Especialy considering I'm not based in the UK anymore, but he puts in the extra effort to retain his clients and has done.

I recommend Bradley to anyone who is looking to purchase, sell or develop.

I used you for our first purchase a few years ago, and on the back of that came straight back to you for our subsequent sale and purchase which has just completed. True to form you dealt with us a professional and proactive manner. There were a few hiccups along the way, due to problematic freeholders and management company, but as always you held our hands and guided us through. You worked over and above, and always came back to us on emails and calls even after hours and at weekends. I just wanted to say thank you so much again for everything that you done. I found Matthew to be exceptional with his assistance throughout my transaction, he dealt with my sale with speed.

Bradley ran my purchase quickly, and in the right time frame that I needed, from start to finish within 3 weeks. Whilst he was not always available on the phone, he emailed me back straight away, even after hours!

The legal advice that I have had from Bradley over the past year has been second to none. He has always been able and willing to assist me in any aspect of what I need, if the questions that I ask are outside his area of expertise he always has a bank of people he can pass me over to. I have bought and sold several properties over the past year including my own, and whilst on some occasions Bradley is not able to answer my calls straight away I can rest assured knowing that he will come back to me on an email.

We chose Curwens to do the conveyancing for our first property purchase because they were recommended by a friend. Being first time buyers we were completely new to the process but they were so helpful at every step. We were never left wondering what was happening at any stage, I felt quite reassured by the gentleman handling our case.
I've heard since, from another friend thats buying a house, that our case was handled very fast compared to theirs and we didnt have to chase them at all for paperwork.
Will return to Curwens with any legal business in future.

I felt the need to air my view, I was referred to this firm by my agents, and have found them to be excellent. I'm based abroad and have to contact them on a different time zone. Bradley and the team are great at facilitating this for me.

There fees are reasonable and they always come back to me on email and by phone.

My transaction is not straight forward, but they know what they are doing and I feel as though I'm in safe hands.

I will recommend them to all my family and friends

Having read some of the below reviews I am glad too say I have had an excellent experience in the purchase of my first flat. All calls/emails were responded to on the same day.

Being a first time buyer I was very nervous initially and was glad to find a helping hand from my solicitor with all the legal jargon to enable me to realize what steps were being taken to ensure I knew what was happening every step of the way.

I will be recommending Curwens to all Friends & Family in the future!!

I read the reviews on this site after I had instructed the firm. Clearly reading the reviews made me very nervious.

I was referred to curwens by the estate agents and also several friends.

My transaction was a leasehold sale, where I also needed to serve my landlord a notice to extend my lease, and pass this on to the family who were purchasing from me.

All I can say is I am soooo glad that I did not read the reviews, they were fantastic. Emails where answered the same day, telephone calls were responded to. Many an email was sent to me well after working hours and they even arranged for me to come in in a Saturday to deal with the signature stage

I was introduced to this firm by my first estate agent and from the word go I found the service and level of support second to none. The first transaction proved to go abortive but the fee earner kept up good spirits and always new what to say even when things got a little upsetting.

When the second purchase got underway the team got straight down to work for me.

I was assigned a case handler who done everything from the first quote all the way through who was excellent. When things got difficult he was on hand and able to move matters forward and even came in to the office on a Saturday to see me.

The price that I was quoted was the price that I paid. There were no hidden surprises unlike past house moves!

The majority of my calls where always returned the same day or at the very least first thing the next Morning.

I would recommend the Enfield office to all my family and friends and have already done so.
