Have just completed on a commercial land sale and quite frankly our solicitor made it feel like pulling teeth. Of course the fee ended up being 50% more then first quoted, but that I can forgive, it was 1) the lack of any constructive advice as soon as there was an issue. 2) his forgetfulness 3) Bar far the worst case of writing 97 words when 10 would have done the job. 4)Rambling on about unrelated matters when we are paying for his time and are not interested in his "stories" and "other clients activities"
You cannot brand a whole firm based on 1 solicitor but my advice would be to avoid them in connection to commercial land.
