I went to Henriques Griffiths to help complete the sale of my mother’s house. Despite her being abroad, everything went smoothly. They are quick to respond to emails and the price was extremely reasonable with no unexpected extra charges so I would definitely recommend them.

There were some difficult and stressful moments due to issues in our chain and she handled them well and we felt confident that she would get things resolved. The rates were competitive too. After a lot of stress with our previous solicitors,
Which basically closed half way through selling our house, Claire Wilkins at Henriques griffiths solicitors was able to pick up our case straight away. Which therefore enabled us to complete within the next two weeks. Amazing ! Communication was spot on. Every time I needed help or advice or a general update Claire always emailed me or phoned me straight back, and kept me fully updated.
Very professional and friendly service. Would highly recommend.

I used HG for my house sale and onward purchase in January 2023.

I have moved 4 times in the past and used various solicitors never sticking to any one firm.

Regards to this review I can only say the service was truly second to none. Not only did my purchase go through from start to finish in only 7 weeks but the personal touch was so valuable and reassuring throughout the process. It was so helpful being ahead of the game in terms of information every time I spoke to our estate agents. That said our estate agents also found HG to be outstanding.

I do not leave positive reviews very often, I am generally left I astounded by service in the UK from professionals however, when a cynical man like me has found the time to recommend HG to anyone.

I hope to not move again in the forseeable future but if I do I will only go through one solicitors and that is HG.

This review won’t allow me to name names, but thank you to all involved.

Claire Wilkins has been such a solace during my first house purchase. As a first-time, solo buyer I had many questions and things to learn and Claire was consistently patient, empathetic, professional, knowledgeable, transparent and kind.

Above all I really trusted Claire. She is very organised and knowledgeable but is not afraid to say she is not sure of an answer, going away to come back with a firm confidence in answer. Throughout the process I have witnessed every other involved party let their ego dominate and get in the way of a clear and trustworthy process, so Claire's honestly and transparency has been refreshing and very appreciated.

I feel Henriques Griffiths' charges were very reasonable and competitive and feel I got a lot of value for money.

I would recommend Claire to anyone. Thank you!

The service we had from Claire Wilkins was probably by far the best service I’ve ever known from a solicitor and I have previously worked in financial services for many years . Claire and Tom provided an excellent conveyancing service, despite my purchase being not the most straightforward and having the additional pressure of hoping to beat the end of June Stamp Duty deadline. I am pleased to say I did make it, which was definitely thanks to Claire being tenacious, and an amazing communicator - she was super efficient and responded quickly to my many anxious phone calls and emails, which was very reassuring for me. It must have been an incredibly busy time for solicitors everywhere, and my purchase could very easily have floundered had it not been for the commitment to help me by the HG team. Now happily installed in my new home and should I move again (hopefully not!) I would definitely use Henriques Griffiths.

This is a great opportunity to thank Laura Burnard and Jade Randall for their amazing, efficient and pleasant work on helping us sell our flat and buy our dream house. We used HG for a flat sale and purchase of a new property. They were one of several that were recommended by our estate agent, but from the outset i was impressed by their professionalism and friendly service. They were very easy to deal with, and kept us up to date with progress. The information they provided us with was detailed and easy to understand. In comparison to the firm i used when originally purchasing the property, i was so much more aware of what was happening, and what work they were doing. They were always happy to answer our questions - however small or silly they seemed. The whole transaction did end up taking longer than we had anticipated, but we felt happy leaving everything in HG's hands, knowing that they were pushing things forward as much as they could. We will definitely use them for future transactions, and will happily recommend them to others.

Jessica & Jade were helpful, patient and hard working throughout the process. This was not the simpliest of jobs to be working on with a lot of unexpected potential stumbling blocks being thrown our way, all of which they helped to get pass in the fastest way possible.

We are so happy with the service we received from Henriques Griffiths for both sale and purchase. Our solicitor took a proactive approach and we were really pleased with her level of communication. There weren't many times we felt the need to pick up the phone because she was very quick to respond to emails, however when we did call her she was always either on hand to talk or called us back quickly.
Their charges and rates were very reasonable compared to others and we will definitely use them again if we need to; we have already recommended them to family members.

I have now used Henriques Griffiths to purchase two houses over the last 7 years. They have always been transparent with fees and exceptionally helpful. I cannot fault their service and particularly their response time regarding emails. With the stamp duty holiday work levels must have increased substantially and yet I never waited long for a response. I would recommend them highly and will definitely use them again if the time comes.

Laura Burnard managed the sale of our property in Bristol and the purchase of our new home in Portishead in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic (and post-Government announcement about changes to Stamp Duty, hence a very busy period!) and we have nothing but gratitude for her work.
Everything that Laura sought, reviewed and provided for us was timely, thorough, extremely professional, personable and of high quality.

The quotation for the services was relatively high, but the actual costs charged for the services were significantly lower than quoted, which was an added bonus.

It is difficult to put into words how thankful we are to have been assigned Laura to our conveyancing needs, and how highly we would recommend her to any prospective home buyers and sellers, other than to say that we would jump at the chance of being able to work with her again in the future.

From start to finish Henrique Griffiths were amazing with the sale of our flat and purchase of our new home. Laura Burnard my solicitor went above and beyond for us and even with covid-19 Laura was still keeping us as updated as she could. Whilst in the chain it showed how professional and efficient Laura was, as other solicitors were extremely slow and held the process up. The communications was always prompt, professional and friendly.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use Henriques Griffiths again.

my solicitor Laura Burnard was absolutely excellent in dealing with my sale and purchase. I hired her because I wanted to move quickly, and she delivered on her searches on the property I was buying within a week of hiring her. The cost was slightly more than some other quotes I got, but everyone else I spoke to was saying it was highly unlikely I would get any searches back in a short space of time. Her whole attitude was lets get it done, unlike others who had a more traditional approach of needing to wait. The extra money was well worth the proactive approach. We were held up for a few weeks by slower activity at my buyers end, but Laura was proactive, great at keeping me in the picture, and had everything in place very quickly so I could move as soon as my buyers caught up, which I did. The whole process was made so much less stressfull, having Laura dealing with this part of the move, I felt confident in her work right the way through, which took a lot of the pressure off me. I will definately be recommending Laura to anyone whose looking for a solicitor for moving home. Thanks so very much!

Tom Dixon and his team were fantastic. Communication was great, they were always on hand to answer the phone or reply back within a working day. I never felt I had to chase him up, he was prompt and a pleasure to deal with.

This is the second time I’ve used Henriques Griffiths for the sale and purchase of a house however, this last time it was particularly stressful. Charlee Purnell was absolutely fantastic throughout and even in helping me resolve various issues after completion had taken place.

She was efficient, responsive and personable as was her assistant Charlotte Strawbridge. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future

This was our first time buying a house (or dealing with solicitors) and we had a really great experience with Henriques Griffiths LLP. Nichola Foreman, Senior Conveyancer, looked after us throughout the process. Her and her staff were extremely professional and punctual with answering and following up any enquiries, as well identifying and keeping on top of any issues. They kept us updated and supported us at every stage. I am very happy to recommend them to anyone purchasing a house.

Charlee Purnell was an extraordinary conveyencer. We have now had 7 sale/purchases and Charlee was leagues above the other solicitors we have used. She was extremely prompt and reliable. She went above and beyond sorting Issues we had in the chain. The fee’s were more than reasonable especially for the work required on our sale and purchase. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

This is the second time my family have asked Sarah Howe of Henriques Griffiths to carry out the conveyancing on our homes.
The first occasion was for our Sons' who were buying a house together and sharing a mortgage for the first time.
The second time was a more complicated conveyancing involving my Mother downsizing and moving to a Charity owned and run retirement home complex.
In comparison to other Solicitors we have used / given instructions to, over the last 30+ years, Sarah Howe has proven to be outstanding at carrying out the work thoroughly, expediently, professionally and politely.
When we raised any concerns or queries about any particular aspects of our conveyancing contracts, she was always very quick to reply and explain something we wanted to know or understand.
We would not hesitate to ask her again to carry out any future conveyancing or recommend to anyone else.

I highly recommend Henriques Griffiths. I used them for the purchase of my house. They were always easily contactable and they kept me informed throughout the purchase and it was always the other solicitors that were delaying the purchase. They were also cheaper than the other solicitors I had looked at

We hired HG for selling and buying our houses. I was concerned as have no experience of the process but I needn’t have worried. Charlee Purnell was excellent in guiding us through process and helped out when we had questions or needed information. I never had to chase for anything as Charlee was always prompt in answering our emails (and there were quite a few). HG were very professional and strived to ensure our move was completed as quickly as possible. I would not hesitate in recommending Charlee and HG and would definitely use them again for any future legal needs. Many thanks to Charlee and her team for making our move as stress free as it was.

Our family have used Henriques Griffiths 3 times now in just over a year. All for house purchases and selling. We deal with Charlee Purnell who is very professional in her approach and extremely knowledgable in what she does. We have moved house this week and once again all has gone well. When selling a property last year which was quite complicated there were a number of issues that needed to be resolved. Charlee and Sarah Howe were able to provide options and agree solutions with us in what was a very difficult situation. I have had nothing but great service from HG and would recommend them. Prompt service.

It's sad to ready so many bad reviews when my experience of this firm is the complete opposite. I was recommended Nichola Porter and she has been superb. Despite the sellers solicitor being extremely rude and unprofessional, Nichola maintained a high standard of communications. I never had to chase or nag to get anything done. Always available, or called me back same day. I would not hesitate to recommend Nichola to others.

A wonderful service. Louise Colmer in the Winterbourne office was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process and has continued to help and answer question afterwards. Being a first time buyer, I was a bit nervous and not sure of what was involved but I did not have to worry as it was a trouble-free process and made very simple for me.

My wife and I used HG recently for a house sale and a purchase and I cannot recommend them highly enough.  From start to finish the service was excellent.  My solicitor, Anna Ma, was always available and answered my queries in a  professional, timely and friendly manner.  Anna made what could have been a potentially challenging move into a smooth transaction and we were made to feel that everything was under control and we were in safe hands.  We have been regular clients of HG over the years and they will always be our first point of call.

Park home legal services second to none (and we've had some bad 'specialists' in the past). Sam Mayer provides excellent advice and support and is willing and able to clarify the legal wording and position, always making you feel like a valued customer. Responsive and available.
