Continue to send threatening letters about a debt that is not mine. I, in turn have threatened to report them to the Law Society if I receive another letter from them. If this happens, I will also refer the mater to the police

They send letters on behalf of their clients who say that you are in debt with the company. There are not any checks carried out. Basically a debt collection agency without following legal practices . Should be stuck off!

They are scammers!!!! ! They call and lie that I am in dept for Council Tax. They have been reported to the Police. Disgraceful , Nasty and intrusive!

I cannot believe that I have paid for a service have asked for proof of receipt nothing, have called nothing. Very disappointed with this service. I need a refund so that I can take my services else where. Extremely unhappy.

So far I have received 2 letters from this company, in the first letter a law was quoted that is no longer in use.
In the second letter they claim I have not been making payments to their client, which was totally untrue. . Weekly payments have been made for over 3 years, since 2015!
However there is simply no excuse as they enclosed the statement of accounts which is 7 pages of accounts with weekly payments made!
Also since January 13 2018, it is illegal to charge extra for credit/ debit card payments. In the letter dated 24 January ( 11 days after the law charged) they state they are charging 2.5% fee for payments made this way. That is illegal now!

Terrible company! Tony Clarke was incredibly rude, patronising and unprofessional. I expected better from a senior partner of the company. WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY TONY CLARKE!
I have never experienced such bad service. If I could mark them -5* I would!

Appalling company - took 1300 pounds payment on behalf of Lambeth Council, told me it would take a week to be sorted. Five weeks later Lambeth Council don't have the money and I have no documentation, no receipt of payment ...they basically lied to me. Now they're trying to bs my husband that they have paid they money to Lambeth. Avoid.

Do not use J&P unless you like to throw money away!
We asked them to contact a J&P client to sign a freehold document. They told us to pay £250 + vat first which we did.
Their response: we can not sign the document on his behalf.
Useless!! We knew that, how about getting your client to sign it! So unless you can throw money around (e.g. tax payers etc..) stay clear of J&P. There are many other solicitors to choose from.
