Having found myself in the unfortunate position of needing legal representation due to an ungrounded allegation that I had assaulted a youth I contacted Kang and Co and was immediately provided clear, concise guidance as to possible next steps and the actions I should take if each or any were to occur.

Having heard nothing from the Police for just under a year I received a call where I was invited for a PACE interview. Immediately the advice from Manjinder became useful as he had advised that the police would position this as a ‘friendly chat’, which they did, and that I should offer no further information other than to agree attendance and that I would be accompanied by a solicitor. At this point I engaged Kang and Co and Manjinder took over all communication with the Police regarding this matter.

At the interview I was briefed by Manjinder prior to the interview commencing with the officer in charge, again he was extremely clear and concise on how to conduct myself in the interview and went over what the allegation was, what that would mean in terms potential outcome if charges were pressed and most importantly how the Police officer may act during questioning and the tactics that may be used.

Even though I had nothing to hide I found the whole experience extremely stressful and Manjinder was correct in that the ‘friendly chat’ was an interview under caution and many questions were targeted to trip me up or get me to incriminate myself. Not the nicest experience and one I hope I never have to repeat but with a successful outcome I am glad its all over, but in the unfortunate circumstance that I need legal representation again I will have no hesitation in using Kang and Co again.

Detailed and well-explained advice from the outset, kept in regular contact with me whilst I was waiting for my Court date. Very skilled and persuasive arguments put forward on my behalf from Mr Kang himself which resulted in a not guilty verdict.
