Charged around £180 for a remortgage, not bad you are probably thinking. I would say so too if they actually provided anything close to a good service. Worst 'lawyers' I have ever come across, if you have the choice, do not use. It took 3 months to complete a remortgage and there managing of what documents were needed, ID, etc, was laughable at best. Avoid.

Used them for a purchase - no problems at all, couldn't fault.

However, to cut a very long story short - we sold our house at the start of June 2020 and made the mistake of using PPL as recommended by Purple Bricks. It's now mid-September and they are still unable to tell us when a likely completion date is with our would be buyers. I could easily write chapter and verse about lack of communication, slow response times, the vague-ness of any reply you do receive, your designated conveyancer never being at the end of the phone... pretty much echoing every other 1star review on this site. The 1 star I have given is purely to recognise the work done for our purchase. The coverage of our sale has been appalling.

Genuinely, this isn't a moan for the sake of it. If you're reading this and contemplating using PPL, do yourself a favour and find someone else. Please.

I was unlucky enough to reach out to Premier Property Lawyers for the purchase of new home. It was nothing sort of a nightmare from the very start to the very end. This review could quite lengthy but in order not to waste any further time on this conveyancing firm, here is what went wrong:

      1. They didn't keep me informed on key communication that took place between themselves and the vendor;
      2. They inadequately explained the meaning of a number of documents provided by the vendor e.g. indemnity insurance, guarantees and a few more.
      3. With the exception of 2 times, I was unable to speak to my conveyancer to ask few simple questions regarding some of the documents received.
      4. The online platform that they have to upload documents doesnt actually work and when I asked why I couldnt see certain documents they didnt have an explanation for it.
      5. They took nearly 5 months to complete the whole process. [Note: There were no complications through the process whatsoever.]

Concluding, I would never recommend these conveyancers to anyone - not even as a measure of last resort.

I used Premier Property Lawyers for a simple reportage of a property I already owned outright and it took over ten weeks to be completed.

On the plus side they have a good online system for uploading documents and keeping track of progress, however that is really the only positive and I think they rely on this system too much.

I tried to contact my conveyancer directly multiple times and not once was she available, in fact I only spoke to my actual conveyancer once throughout the whole process.

They waited for eight weeks to request documents which took over a week to find and this could have been done at the start to avoid the delay.

We had and issue with the freeholder trying to charge a fee of £300 which wasn’t applicable as there was a specific clause in the lease terms and conditions but the staff at Premier Properties tried to tell me that it was valid and I would have to pay it. It was only when I made a formal complaint that they acknowledged that the fee wasn’t valid and I shouldn’t have to pay it which I didn’t. So if I hadn’t read my lease and complained I would have been charged and extra £300. They were aware of the clause in the terms but didn’t highlight it to me.

Additional transfer fees were added to my account incorrectly so again I challenged them and was told they would be removed. Two weeks later they hadn’t been removed so I again challenged them and was initially told they were correct but they weren’t.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend Premier Property Lawyers and I certainly wouldn’t use them again.

What an absolute shambles! Zero contact after about a month into the Conveyancing process. Our buyers are using Premier Property Lawyers as well (I assumed we had to use them because the sale was with Purple Bricks). So far the process has taken 14 weeks, nobody calls us for an update, they don't respond to emails, and when they are out of office nobody seems to pick things up in their absence! I have never had a company so shambolic in my entire life. Pay a bit more money and go with a decent company! Don't do it to yourself, you don't need more stress when you are moving house.

The service my daughter has received for nearly 2 years now whilst trying to sell her house is dreadful, these folks have really bad reviews on most sights.
I really do not think they give or take any care at what they do or who they hurt , my daughter is now looking at their buyers pulling out and she has no chain , men have been to the moon and back it that span of time , as others have said on here , they are rude , never answer the phone or report back any news that your waiting for . And i suppose they want their cash at the end of it all if they actually sell or buy your house for you. They really should be ashamed of themselves.there are enough folks wanting justice for all the stress .Should we all club together report them to the Law society and get them in court, we may finally get them to close and stop more misery for more people.
My daughter and her husband ,like so many of you are going round the twist with this firm, panic attacks , loss of apitite , stress. and more.
So do your selves a favour and stay well clear, take no notice of good reviews the bad do really out number the good.you have been warned.
This firm needs investigating quickly before they do any more damage to peoples health.

Appalling service, rude, inefficient & riddled with basic errors. Cost us thousands of pounds as they didn’t communicate key facts & failed to proactively manage the case at all. “Lawyer” dealing with the case was so rude every time we spoke to her (Courtney Fife) we were shocked. Nobody seemed to care about our concerns & managers also didn’t call back as promised. They made multiple mistakes through the process & added unnecessary delay to this straightforward transaction by their ineptitude. Also kept amending their costs in their favour with no explanation at all. Avoid using premier property lawyers from my home conveyancing as the service they provide is likely to cause nothing but stress. Shockingly awful

Firstly PPL lost our file and tried to blame the developers, saying they never received it. The developers provided evidence they did send our file and now PPL’s story has changed - they apparently did receive the file but something was missing. This delayed our purchase by 5 months. Not sure why they never responded to the developer to ask for the missing information in that time. No apology and they still won’t accept blame. We’re still waiting to move in now.. We’ve had no guidance on what to expect/what’s outstanding and it just seems to be one delay after another. However PPL always pass the blame to someone else, it’s never their fault and they’ve not apologised or expressed empathy once. We’ve been told now that we need to resign all of our paperwork however it has been 4 days since they informed us of this and they still haven’t posted the paperwork to us. We tried to complain but all we got was a rude email in response and refusal to accept any responsibility. Avoid this company at all costs.

These 'lawyers' / 'solicitors' probably need to change industry or go back to university and read up on their chosen field. Any questions they have asked have been redundant to the purchasing of the leasehold. These questions have been repeated so many times the sellers solicitors have had to question whether they understand what they are dealing with which you'd assume to be embarrassing for them. When they do have all information they require I still don't think they actually understand what to do with it though and become completely unresponsive while 'it's under review' for the next week. Would avoid at all costs and it's a shame to have ever used the company.

PPL are nothing short than an utter disgrace. The reviews on TrustPilot are 100% fake and left by family members of the employees.

PPL do not give a damn if you complete or not and will go out of their way to slow the chain down, leading to an eventual collapse of chain.

They are unqualified, unresponsive and incompetent. They take days just to respond to the most simple request and refuse to read emails within 48 hours.

Please never, ever use this company unless you want the most stressful experience imaginable.

We initially instructed Premier Property Lawyers on the sale of our purchase back in October and were allocated Rob Whittle. Whilst acting on our behalf Rob didn't seem to know the answers to - or be prepared to research - some of the questions that we raised to him, he came across as very passive throughout our dealings and we ended up having to find out and research a lot of things ourselves that we would have expected to fall within his role.

One of the main issues that we faced was the need for indemnity insurance for an extension on the property we were selling. Rob was extremely unhelpful and even when presented with a quote from a company that were happy to provide cover, didn't pass information of this cover on to our buyer. After a painful few weeks getting nowhere with Rob, we contacted our buyer ourselves who appeared to be equally annoyed with the lack of communication from our solicitor. We were informed that her solicitor had made several requests for information/documents from Rob, many of which had gone unanswered.

With our Buyer pulling out due to information not being provided, we only found out a week later when we contacted our buyer directly. Rob at no point passed this information on to us.

With a new buyer found for our property and a new solicitor; Josh, handling the case, he was then furloughed. Whilst we completely understand the difficulties that COVID 19 has placed on businesses, when Josh was furloughed with our sale/purchase so close to completion, there was again no communication to advise that he had been furloughed and no other advisor taking ownership of our file.

We were having to make contact daily to find out what was happening with the case and what was needed from us. Every time I called there had been an update and at no point were these being passed on without us being the ones to make contact and ask for it. Again, we were having to be in direct contact with the buyer ourselves in order to know what was happening with the sale of our property.Seemingly, you were not making contact on the side of our purchase either as we were having constant messages from our seller asking us for updates.

Given how much we paid them to handle the cases, it seems absolutely ridiculous how much of the communication we had to do for ourselves.

With the exception of Josh, communication from the team has been absolutely unacceptable throughout our sale and purchase - contributing to us not only losing our first buyer but also almost losing the house we were buying and now being £2000 out of pocket for funds not returned to us.

After raising a complaint, we did get £250 compensation but it definitely doesn't make up for the 8 months of headaches caused by the company.

Oh and once they lost an important document - it had been put in the wrong place, and then they kept asking me for documents they already had. Each time this added at least another week on proceeding. Bank statements are required within a 3 month date range. Well guess what! They took so long we had to send new ones! Once we had completed,we had to wait 5 days for our money!!!!!!! If you do use these, keep phoning them and ask them to e mail you details of your conversation. Get everything in writing. My sale has been stuck in its current situation for nearly two months. When I have asked why things are not proceeding, the response I have received is that the estate agents and the sellers solicitor has not responded to emails about the draft contracts. On eWay, I have seen that correspondence has been exchanged by the estate agent and my solicitor, making this claim false with regards to the estate agent.

My conveyancer, at no point, has indicated that she has attempted to communicate with the seller's solicitor via phone or email (no exchange of email is shown on eWay), leading to me having to get in touch with the seller directly to see what the situation is. The seller (who is also using the same firm) has informed me that she has uploaded all required documents, but says that her solicitor is yet to receive a sales memorandum.

I explained this to my conveyancer and her team via email, but no action was taken. This issue, in fact, has not even been acknowledged to date. This led to me having to contact the estate agent myself who confirmed that the seller's solicitor had received the memorandum. I then sent two emails requesting that my conveyancer get in touch with the seller's solicitor as a matter of urgency. These emails were acknowledged through eWay but went ignored.

This situation has caused significant delay to the conveyancing process in addition to myself and the seller having to chase different parties, which we pay our conveyancers to do. In addition to this, the seller has completed the purchase of a property (bought after selling this property) which could be put at risk the longer these delays go on.

AVOID you will never speak to the same person twice, that's if they even bother to reply. 3 days to read an email meaning a simple exchange of information takes over 2 weeks. That's under normal circumstances, Corona has had them increase to 8 days. So if your buyer/sellers solicitor emails them it won't even get looked at for 8 days, then if there's an issue and they reply the same day 8 more before they even read the response leading to long delays. Joke of a company.

There is nothing premier about these clowns. Avoid if you can.
They acted on behalf of our buyer in the sale of our flat and took their time over everything. Not to be meticulous of clear, but it seemed to deliberately slow down the process so they could justify their charges to our buyer (their client). Our solicitor would send emails, and they would reply by post! They took longer than needed over replies which led to around 14 days delay in the sale going through.
I suspect the complexities of shared ownership were difficult for them, so if you have anything other than s straight sale or purchase I'd avoid and look elsewhere. Your local high street solicitor will do a better job and be more personal with it.

I was using PPL for the purchase of a property - recommended by the estate agents (Connells) as 'their' conveyancers, so using them would smooth the process - how wrong they were.
I have been involved in the sale/purchase of 3 properties and I (and friends/colleagues I have talked to) have never experienced such an appalling service. Communication was terrible with most emails not being answered until the 2nd or 3rd attempt or usually after a phone call. Communication via their "Case Dashboard" was uninformative - frequently a notification received that there were 'new actions' required, when it was a previous document being uploaded again with no changes - eg the same, unchanged plan for my property was uploaded 4 times. There was never confirmation of actions taken (eg I had to ask many times if they had received/accepted proof of ID or proof of funds - the answer often being 'it appears not' - meaning it had to re-done - how I would have know these things other than at the 11th hour - presumably meaning a rush - I don't know.) I was moved between 3 different conveyancers who never introduced themselves or confirmed they were now my main point of contact. Documents were lost - over a 3-4 month period 5 important signed documents (eg the contract twice) were lost and had to be printed, signed and resent. Buying/selling a house is never straightforward - but with PPL I felt that the process took 50% longer than it would normally, not to mention the many hours I had to put into making the sale go through that I had never experienced before - it's stressful enough without having to chase YOUR solicitor at every step! Most definitely not recommended.

Went with them as they were reccomended by from London & Country. As it was a simple remortage with equity loan I figured there wasn't much to go wrong, however until questioned they started the complete wrong process in remortaging my house which would have left me with a 40k bill at the end. On top of that In nearly 3 months we made 0 progress.

Dropped them and went with a local solicitor in the end and had a far better experience!

I was involved in a 4 house 5 party chain. The party selling house 2 and buying house 3 used Premier Property Lawyers as they were recommended to them by the agent that sold their home.

The early stages of the move seemed to be going to plan and my solicitor was advised the lower chain was just waiting on us. Premier Property Lawyers then began asking for things that weren’t required. This stalled things by about 2 months. Premier Property Lawyers then confirmed they were happy with all enquiries and put forward suggested exchange and completion dates. This is when the real glitch was highlighted.

Premier Property Lawyers had been quite a nightmare for my solicitor certain items being sent to them on 7 occasions. As we approached our exchange/completion dates it became apparent that Premier Property Lawyers hadn’t began dealing with the sale of their client’s house, this information was let out by the managing agent on a leasehold managed estate that confirmed that Premier Property Lawyers didn’t contact them regarding the sale enquiries until 4 months after the other solicitors in the chain. This caused the chain to collapse.

This company is recommended to customers of a number of online estate agents. Advice to anyone selling would be to avoid selling to anyone who will be using these. The whole set-up is just a giant Conveyancing factory and the experience I’ve had, although they weren’t acting on my behalf is that the practice they use should be outlawed as it quite simply doesn’t work.

Took 9 months to complete on a newish property that was empty ...how difficult can that be?? Promised a quick completion and put my stuff in storage and moved in with a friend when I was advised same day exchange & completion was imminent...big mistake! PPL suddenly stopped communicating and didn’t provide final documentation at last minute. There was a small (straight forward) issue which should have been picked up at the outset, and for months they refused to answer calls from seller and their agents as well as my solicitors. Couldn’t escalate to higher authority; I threatened to pull out more than once - but nothing worked - very frustrating and unprofessional. My solicitors finally talked them through what they needed to do in the end - obvious lack of knowledge and experience. I reluctantly held out as prices had meanwhile gone up and I had already paid all my legal fees. It also cost me a lot of money for temporary accommodation for 7 months and storage costs and seller obviously was out of pocket having to keep covering bills, mortgage etc while these so called 'lawyers' dragged their feet. I'm amazed looking at the poor feedback on various forums that they are still operating. Would never buy a property again if the seller uses PPL and would certainly not recommend them. My advice - read the reviews and feedback and spend a little more on professional solicitors/conveyancers.

They very rarely respond on anything and when they do it's never it relation to the question you've asked. They've mishandled paperwork, continuously asking for the same information or getting you to sign forms you've already signed. It's ridiculous. Every time they receive a correspondent or letter from the sellers solicitor it takes them over a week to read and respond. By far the worst service I've used. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

We are in a chain and first time buyers have used this company. They have had absolutely no support what so ever. PPL are incapable of helping someone that has never been through this process before. It has taken us 5 days just to exchange. The whole process has been incredibly stressful and considering they were at the beginning of the chain they were the least organised. They did not tell the buyers to send the deposit over at which point it then took FOUR DAYS to get the funds in the correct place. They then had the incorrect date of completion on the paperwork which held us up. They also failed to tell their client they needed to authorise exchange. Absolutely shocking!!

I initially left a very positive review of PPL in the very early stages of our engagement. It is myself and partners first time buying a house and the online service seemed great, so much was happening in the first week or so and everything was efficient. I had the initial phone call and a follow up call to update me was scheduled for one week later.

One week later came, I booked a 30 minute window away from my desk at work only to never receive the call. When I called PPL to query nobody could see that I was due a call and said my conveyancer was off and that was why nobody has called. I understood this and was not too disgruntled, though I expected a call upon my convenyancers return and never got one.

Since then, our service has gone downhill dramatically. We are not given updates, we are on our 2nd conveyancer (nobody advised of the change or why) - I noticed it myself on the dashboard and when queried was told it was because my new conveyancer was more senior.

I have called a few times for updates now and my conveyancer(s) (past and present) are never available but one of the team is always happy to help. They open my file and then can't tell me much of anything and say they will get my conveyancer to call me; which never happens.

The most recent update I requested, again, convenyancer not available so spoke with someone else who said they could see I had made an initial payment which I had, back at the beginning of November and we are now at the end of January! They then said that the hold up was with my estate agents solicitors as they were waiting for paperwork. I asked what they were waiting for so I could speak with the EA and hurry them along, they said they were waiting for the plan. I told them that they have the plan to which they said they do not. I said there was a plan attached to page 4 of the memorandum of sale to which they said yes, but we need to know what it is you are buying. Again, I told them they have this on P4 of the MOS. Eventually, after a lot of back and forth, they must have looked on their records and they then had the plan in front of them, we went through it together and they said "oh, you're buying ALL of that?" to which I responded yes. They then mentioned further fees due to the plot we were purchasing (we are NOT impressed as it has been known all along what we are purchasing!) and said my conveyancer would contact me.

You guessed it, the conveyancer DID NOT CONTACT ME. I've instead had an email from the EA to say PPL have finally instructed searches - it's nice how they can update EA but not myself who is paying them.

I've today had a text, that has probably been the icing on the cake, to say our mortgage offer has been received, is being checked and that the paperwork will be with us shortly. We received our mortgage offer weeks ago and have had the paperwork to compliment ever since!

In summary, we are not impressed with the service we are paying for, we feel like we will never complete on our dream home and we would never, ever use nor recommend PPL to anybody whatsoever!

      Extremely disappointed.

I used PPL to sell a property in August 2019 and my experience was terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and I would prefer to award zero stars.

When you appoint PPL they will assign you a case handler - and you have no say over who you get. I got the impression that my guy was neither qualified nor experienced in conveyancing and this cost me more than £1000 in expenses I need not have occurred. When the buyers' side made demands, he was unable to offer any expertise or guidance on how best to handle them. English was obviously his second language - he was difficult to understand and I don't think he understood me either.

The online tool is just a gimmick: it doesn't really help matters, in fact, I found it very frustrating.

Some months later I sold another property using a traditional high street solicitor, and that experience really highlighted how terrible PPL had been. PPL position their service as cheap, but actually most firms now offer fixed-fee conveyancing, so using this online outfit doesn't save you anything. When you're handling a sale as important as this, my advice would be to choose a professional firm where you can speak to the conveyancer before appointing them.

1st attempt after 3 months our buyer hadn't got his mortgage offer. PPL should have been raising this with their client but hadn't.
2nd attempt after 4 months PPL hadn't got our buyers ID sorted
3rd attempt it turns out our buyers property they are selling is in fact their mums and the money to buy our property a gift. PPL hadn't raised this with their client until exchange day.
4th attempt, it turns out our buyers deposit is a gift and PPL haven't advised thier client on the process of proving the origin of the financial gift.

This is second time we have had a buyer use PPL, the first time we still hadn't completed at 4.30 on the day of completion because PPL had put the wrong account numbers on the required forms for completion. That sale took 8 months because of a continuous string of incompetence from PPL.

They are horrific and it is likely they will be the cause of our current chain collapsing. DO NOT ACCEPT A BUYER WHO IS GOING TO USE THEM. You will be subjected to months of stress, anxiety and worry. They never communicate to the rest of the chain and only raise issues on the day of exchange. They should not be allowed to operate and are a disgrace.

They knew 2 weeks ago we would be exchanging today, our buyer has paid them their deposit, only to be informed we can't exchange because PPL have to return the mortgage funds to our buyers mortgage lender before they can release the contract. Our solicitor has been trying to advise them that they can still exchange but PPL won't have it.

I've dealt with 5 solicitors, and these were by far the worst. A few issues we've had with them:
      - They have policies that force them to go through certain steps even when nobody (buyer/seller) want them. This caused 2 months delays in our sale
      - Rather than asking at the start what they need, they drip feed requests - this almost caused the whole chain to fall through
      - The exchange was missed because they came up with a new request 3 days *after* the planned exchange date. When challenged by the other solicitor, they took 1 week to check with their "technical team" that their own request was indeed useless
      - We scheduled a new exchange date, and they didn't respond to the other solicitor's emails, missing the new date. Only too late they said they were waiting for funds to clear
      - After missing the exchange date twice, they came up with another exchange date, and when one member of the chain said it didn't work for them, they threatened to make the whole chain fall through if exchange didn't happen on the date decided by them. The reason for this is still unclear.
      - Finally, on the completion date, they requested their client the wrong amount of money, so even the completion date was almost missed because of their mistakes

I hope to never have to deal with them again as this was a nightmare for all parties involved.

Utterly incompetent and totally igorant of legal conveyancig processes.
They don't even check paperwork until last minute! Then they use the longest, most convoluted process available to find a solution.
End result - multiple delays costing everyone in a chain time and money. Even their own customers mortgage deal ran out before completion! This was totally avoidable if they had done their job properly and professionally.
They ripped off and screwed over their own customers and everyone in the chain.

I have given one star as I cant give none. Our purchasers are using this complete and utter incompetent shambolic shower of ........
We accepted an offer on our property at the end of July - my purchaser is still waiting for this lot to get the local search back, now near the end of November. The house which we are purchasing has been put back on the market due to a lack of progress and still there is no sign of having an exchange date, let alone a moving date. One of the estate agents involved in our tiny chain (first time buyer - our purchaser - us to empty house) has this last week had to explain to them what a chain is and how this affects everyone!!!!! They have no compassion or understanding of the undue stress that their incompetence and lack of urgency is creating. Who will pay our legal bill if this all falls through, because the house we want to buy is sold to someone else, whilst this lot drag their feet and show no concern.
It would appear that this is mainly run by call centre staff who have no idea what they are doing, don't respond to emails or phone calls and when they do you are never sure that what you are being told is the truth.
These are the conveyancing company that Purplebricks tie you into when you sell with them, otherwise you have to pay for the privilege of not using this outfit, not sure how that fits with monopolies. My advice if you want to sell your house use someone local and pay the money to get out of having to use this bunch, of muppets. You pay peanuts you get monkeys!!!

Absolutely shocking firm. My cousin used them just over a year ago selling his mothers house and he lost the first buyer because of them and nearly lost a second one because of their incompetence.
We are selling my Mum's house and unfortunately her buyer is using this lot. The move is meant to happen on Monday and last night they decide to tell us they don't know whether or not the mortgage funds have been lodged into their account. They never return phone calls or emails. Estate agents that take commissions for recommending this shower should be ashamed of themselves. They got one star because you have to give them one. I wouldn't give them any.

Devastatingly poor service and will never recommend to anyone. They didn't have a case for me to begin with but only after contacting my broker again, did they build one. It took around 8 weeks for the entire process to be complete which is a complete joke. In that time, we racked up a bill of £15 per day interest. Communication was equally as poor - very frustrating to be emailed to say "Ring urgently to pay" and then the person not be able to pick up. After 8 weeks of terrible service, we were presented a final bill of £1.2k that needed to be settled which was not communicated to us in the slightest. We had to make up for this shortfall from our own pockets. Honestly, the whole process from start to finish was a complete shambles. Will no doubt be using a different service. Shout out to the CEO - sort your company out mate because the service you provide is byond poor.

Then find out they haven't done anything and you need to tell them what to do next. It's like they've never sold a house before. After 5 months they've finally checked my ID (should have been the first thing they did) and have now decided I need to send certified ID. Theoretically I have to pay another solicitor to tell these solicitors that I am who I say I am. It's completely bizarre. Communication non existent, everything slow, don't seem to do anything off their own back or understand the concept of dealing with potential issues before they arise. Genuinely the worst service I've ever received from any company, not just solicitors.

The vendor of the property we are purchasing is using Premier and they are absolutely awful, painfully slow and don't do what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it. The property we're trying to buy is chain free and had significant interest from developers, our own chain was two deep and as we weren't considered attractive buyers we were forced to submit an artificially high offer to secure it. The chain on our own sale collapsed and yet despite obtaining a new buyer six weeks after our offer was accepted, all parties are now ready to exchange except for our vendor because Premier haven't even sent the paperwork to our solicitor yet. We're now being pressured into moving into rented or risk losing our own buyer and additionally our mortgage offer is running out soon ... if either of those events happen there is no way we're paying such a high price for the property, we'll either pull out of the sale or reduce our offer considerably. Terrible, terrible, terrible. If ever I put an offer on a property again it will be conditional that the vendors does not use Premier.

We are currently using Premier Property Lawyers for our conveyancing. Despite advertising their services as a fixed fee, their fees have crept up and up and up without explanation and in breach of their own T&Cs. We have complained to the conveyancer who spoke with her manager and passed on his or her abrupt and rude response by email that they can close their file and we can go elsewhere if we are unhappy with their fees. We have asked for that manager's contact details so that we may discuss this but there has been no response to date. Premier Property Lawyers bring the legal and conveyancing profession into disrepute. We will be escalating our complaint to the relevant regulatory bodies and the ASA if this is not dealt with. We will also be ensuring that House Network (who referred us to Premier Property Lawyers) are aware of the company's practices unless someone contacts us to discuss and resolve this issue.

I was advised to use eZie through the estate agent purple bricks. After trying to make initial contact with my solicitor for 2 weeks, I was told I had now been allocated a second solicitor and new contacts given.

I was then told the seller was also using eZie, and reassured there would be no conflict of interest due to eZie using two separate offices from two different cities as representatives. This I was totally fine with and was told if anything that it would speed up the process, and in the highly unlikely chance of there being a conflict of interest eZie would reimburse both parties any initial payments made.

The process as a whole took maybe 12 weeks no chains. But the gruelling months I had to participate in numerous lies, un professionalisms, lack of feedback, having to re send documents, unanswered calls and queries, their quote, even though fixed changed twice! They even stole £500 cashback incentive from my lender to which I was to receive and spend at my own discretion. On confronting eZie about this they proceeded to make up reasons as to why I was billed adding up to exactly £500, this included an admin fee due to conflict of interest resulting in the seller having to find and use a different solicitor.

Even though this was my first time dealing with solicitors and buying a property I could not describe this experience as anything less than disgusting. The worry, stress and pressure of losing my dream home was too much not to comply.

I would not recommend eZie under any circumstance!

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. We sold our property in October and it has still not been completed. We now risk losing the sale. We have received the worst service imaginable, no response to emails, no calls returned, impossible to speak to the solicitor and only ever get through to the rude call centre staff who are unhelpful. The service is so slow. Avoid at all costs.

Lost documents, financial statement said my house was selling for £41k more than it was. Never calln you back when you have an appointment, never able to get hold of your solicitor despite being told that you have their direct line. Told that they get paid regardless so they aren't bothered. How this company is actually still trading baffles me!! Oh, and they are no cheaper than anyone else-not in Gloucestershire anyway. The family buying our house are tied to this firm too through Purple Bricks who in our opinion are also shambolic. Our solicitor has seen through their lies and incompetence. We feel so sorry for our buyers being stuck with them, having to chase everything themselves. They are totally inaccessible to their client. We have missed 3 deadlines to exchange for our newbuild and will not be able to proceed to sell if we lose our chance to buy. The person buying theirs has nothing to sell so this should have been a fairly easy transaction. We can almost predict if it does go ahead their incompetence will show up again in some way either at exchange or completion. Stick to proper estate agents and local solicitors. Don't let either of these faceless cowboy outfits near your house move!

My buyers are using the same company, should theoretically be a quick sale as they bought all searches from previous sell which fell through. However weeks later they are still asking questions, one was even on the Property Information form which my solicitor sent them right at the start of the process, clearly they don't even read the paperwork they get given!! Reliable sources tell me that they have a certain reputation in the industry for being so slow, I can see why. As far as my solicitor is concerned they have all the information they need but still won't give a completion date.

We are not trying to exchange contracts, and 10 days after my solicitor instructed them on completion dates, they finally contact the vendor, but only after the agent had to get involved AGAIN! This firm have cost me a fortune in rent I didn't need to pay, let alone stress. They should not be allowed to exist.

The planning schedule we were sent relates to the original proposals for the land in our locale from, get this, 1960! Apparently we are responsible for the building/planning. Despite explaining that we have nothing to do with this (I wasnt even born then!!) didnt stop these loons asking twice. I told them to google earth us if they didnt believe it so they could see we were not sited in the middle of a wasteland. Anyway, not worth the money, either of them, steer clear. Even asking a simple question gets a non-commital answer eg I'll get back to you. Another week of no progress passes. Ive even been incredibly short with them in communications and it just slides off. Evidently thick skinned, or do they even care? We havent once actually spoken to our conveyancer, only an intermediary.

I have been involved in a chain where PPL have been the conveyancer for the buyers of my property. We were warned by our solicitor at the start they would be a nightmare to deal with, and even so we were impressed just how terrible they could be to work with.

Working with them has been the most painful process imaginable. They are completely unresponsive (after 3 weeks 3 emails and a formal letter they finally responded with enquiries) , they only reply on their timetable ( which means it takes minimum 1 week to hear back from anything even minor things - and that's when something has been classed as urgent), and only respond in hard mail (Seriously what year is this??)

They obviously have a tick box approach which might work for some , but its incredibly difficult if you have any target timeline, as they simply do what they want, went they want, and you cannot even have a conversation with them as if you aren't helping them tick a box nothing will be able to progress further..

The worst experience possible - for both the buyer and the vendor of any home sale and purchase. What should have been a no-chain and cash buyer purchase turned into a nightmare.

Stick to your local high-street solicitor.

Premier changed the solicitor no less than 3 times, and most of the time you're dealing with administrative staff who have no idea what is going in with the case. Enquires enter a communal inbox and its luck of the draw who handles it. The sale took ~6 weeks longer than expected simply due to many dropped balls and incompetence.

Avoid this firm at all costs. Its not worth the cost saving and risking your sale/purchase.

I went with these people because purple bricks recommended them. I was selling my house with no chain and the buyers already had money plus an agreed mortgage. Simple? No not on your life these people are the absolute worst . Never ever go with them . I ended up doing a lot of work myself to get it through. They lost all of our ID to start with and said they never had it but has something stored on their computer that had been with it. The idiots that work with your main conveyancer must be 5 year olds and that's being cruel to children. None of them know what's going on you are constantly asked for things that have been done several times. A complete nightmare. I will miss the middle out cos it makes this review too long and go on to the end. My buyers solicitor had had everything ready 3 weeks before when I spoke to him. So I had to have everything finished by the end of August because I'm on holiday in what was a mobile free area on the 10thseptember. No they blamed the other solicitor said something hadn't been done. Absolute rubbish. The exchange they made for the 7th September but surprise surprise they had a completion date of the 13th when I was on holiday. This was now 31/2 months. Ok so at least it was all done before and my husband could hand over the keys while I was away. So what's the problem you are thinking now ! Oh my I got on holiday and luckily took my wifi with me. The signal was horrendous but I could get one. On the 13th my phone rang at 11am everything's ok we have the money she said it will be finished today. At 3.45 she phoned again to tell me that my husband had to hand over the keys even if there was no money in our bank! And could I write a letter that I should of written before and send it to them and they would try to complete right up to a minute to 5. Hold on what letter no letter had been requested. She dictated a letter to me on my sketch pad that I had taken I signed it took a photo on my phone and emailed it to her. Everything would be ok now. In the meantime my husband has now given the keys of our only house to the purchaser. I check my bank statement on my phone several times my mortgage is still there that should of been paid and there is no money in the account from them . I constantly check then I ring them to be told but the date was really the 14th. Now I am panicking an online company that has all my money and hasn't paid my redemption let alone given me any. I emailed everyone that was owed money to tell them that the house was completed and they should have the money. I also emailed one lady called Lindsey at ezie conveyancing who dealt with problems and had been the only person to push it along before . I was awake all night how could I have been so stupid. We both rang in the morning thank goodness money came into my bank after 10am but the mortgage still was not paid off until the 15th. Honestly if you want your sanity do not use these useless bunch of idiots go local trust no one with a large sum of your money.

We had problems from day 1, no work was even done for the first 4 weeks and the service level is horrific, then it got worse! On completion day I was constantly calling your company asking for an update and at 12:30pm I finally managed to get through to Miss Mason and after asking her to check your system again she confirmed the money regarding the sale had been received. She then informed me she would transfer the money to the solicitors regarding the purchase and this should be complete by 1:30pm at the latest. Then to my surprise I got a call from Miss Mason at 1:25pm asking for a letter stating it was ok to use the funds from the sale to purchase Having previously purchased 2 houses prior to this purchase I have never encountered this type of request before. I believe this was negligent behavior on your part and this matter should have been resolved when contract was exchanged. I prepared this letter and sent it straightaway and also asked Miss Mason was there anything else she needed? She firmly said no everything should be ok now and the money can be transferred. It was now 3pm and I received another call from Miss Mason asking for ID’s for my Father and Mother along with the bank statement showing proof of where the funds came from? She needed this because my parents deposited money into your client account at the beginning of June and I was using this money to help fund the house purchase. I realised Miss Mason was carrying out a Money Laundering Check on completion day! I find this to be negligent behavior from a solicitor as these checks should have been carried out when you received the funds into your client account in early June 2016? I am quite sure the SRA has policies in place regarding this kind of negligence and behavior from solicitors. As an accountant we carry out the same checks and these have to be done on engagement, I cannot believe I was being asked for this information at 3pm when my house has been sold, movers have taken all our belongings to a new house to which we have no ownership and I have my 4 children and a 1-day old baby in the car! It was now too late to go back so I managed to provide the information by 3:20pm and the transfer according to Miss Mason was done at 3:40pm, they should therefore receive the funds in the next hour and we should still get the keys today. However, the buyer’s solicitor did not receive anything and was closing at 5pm, I was then told by his estate agents (entwistle green) that this would be deemed to be a failed completion and I would have to find somewhere to house my family, basically leaving me and my family homeless. The movers were also charging me £250+ an hour for these delays which is another direct cost I incurred from your negligence. We finally received some good news at 5:25pm from the estate agents and were told the money has gone through and we can take the keys, after another 2 hours the movers had finished unloading everything and we had a place to stay. NEVER EVER USE THESE GUYS EVER!

We bought a flat using Premier Property Lawyers 2 years ago. Although we had no complaints at the time it transpires that they did not do their job properly or offer us adequate legal advice. This came to light as we are now trying to sell our property and the sale fell through (3 months down the line) when our buyers solicitors found a problem with our lease, which essentially means they let us sign an invalid contract at the time of purchase. My husband and I are at a loss to understand how something this significant was overlooked and how we were not advised of this issue when we purchased the property.

Not only has the negligence of this company cost us the sale of our home we are now facing a very lengthy process, involving significant legal costs, to rectify the problem with our lease. We requested that a copy of our case file be sent to us so we can start a negligence claim against them and a month later we have still not received the file. It has apparently been 'lost in the post' twice and the company have ignored our requests to send it recorded delivery.

It is impossible to get any answers as everytime we call we get through to admin staff and we keep being told 'our case is being looked into.' We first complained 6 weeks ago and informed the company we have enlisted a solicitor to start a negligence claim against them. We have still not had any satisfactory response to our numerous emails and phone calls.

I am 7 months pregnant and we needed to have moved before our baby is born, something which is now not possible due to this companies incompetence. They are causing both my husband and I severe undue stress at a time when we should be looking forward to the arrival of our first child.

I would never wish this on anyone else and I would therefore avoid dealing with this company at all costs.

If they had decent competent staff these type of cases should be closed off as normal process. But I guess this time they need to give me back my money hence delaying as much as they can. Their delays on my sale of property has already costed me more than it should have. Not at all happy with the service but the question is who is putting this right? Strong armed into using this company (ezie conveyancing) by Purple Bricks who you have to pay up front or use their solicitor recommendation to pay on completion. Who would pay an estate agent up front? So we used ezie on the promise they were really good and have a new dedicated centre in Manchester.

In a nutshell, they are a pile of rubbish. They openly lie to buy time - they sit on emails and information for weeks, nobody takes ownership, our conveyancer went awol ( we were told personal reasons, then it was a bereavement, now I've been told illness) and nobody has ever taken over the case since. That was around a month ago.

I have my purple bricks, my vendors agents, my buyers and their solicitors all putting pressure on them to exchange as they had the documents a month ago. So far I get told a different lie every time if I actually get through to someone as to what the hold up is.

Do not use! And if purple bricks tell you you have to use them, tell purple bricks you will go elsewhere!

Horrible service so far! They have to be chased for every single thing, have to make at least 5/6 calls a day to them to find answers for your queries, they never get back to you-even their manager, they messed up our exchange of contract date, they cannot do simple accounts of purchase/ sales correctly and the list goes on endlessly! Such a waste of time and resources. Will absolutely NOT recommend to anyone.

We used Purple Bricks to sell our house. They were brilliant but totally ruined by recommending eZie the diabolical service was beyond belief. They are no more than a glorified call centre. That's when you can get someone to answer a phone. They are totally reactive. The staff come across as not knowing what they are doing just OK for ticking boxes. Ten months the house sale has been going on. not there fault but not made any easier by lack of contact poor communications and they make you feel as though they are doing you a favour. Advice never use an online conveyancing outfit. you need someone you can talk to face to face. would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

I am in the process of trying to sell a house to a buyer who is using Ezie Convenyancing - a trading name of Premier Property Lawyers Solicitors. So far the process has taken 5 months, and there is currently no end in sight. My own solicitor, the estate agent and the buyer have all complained about how difficult it is to get hold of Ezie Conveyancing and how slow they are to respond. My recommendation is if your buyer is using Ezie Conveyancing, find another buyer!

I work for the emergency services so I am used to high levels of stress of which I take in my stride. Dealing with Premier Property Lawyers/Zoom Conveyancing made me so ill with the stress of dealing with them. I will be as brief as I can...

I was not in a chain and told several times by my account handler the whole process should take 6-8 weeks maximum, it ended up taking 4 months. They never reply to calls or emails.

I received my survey report from my lender. I sent this over to my PPL account handler and asked their advice on one part of it. After six days of trying to get a reply I still had not even had as much as an email back. I ended up having to contact the seller of the property I was purchasing myself. He confirmed that PPL had not contacted him at all about my survey report, so a week totally wasted. I also had to have an awkward converstaion with the seller about the survey, something which PPL should be doing on my behalf, is that not what we pay them for. I then found out that my account handler from PPL had left the company and it was hinted to me that it was because of how poor her standard of work was.

Two weeks on and my new PPL account handler told me that he had been waiting for a reply from my management company for 14 days. I called the management company straight away and got all of the answers PPL required. Again, another 2 weeks totally wasted. My management company also informed me that they had returned calls to PPL but PPL were not getting back in contact.

2 weeks on and I was going on holiday for one week. I called the office twice before going away and asked if they required anything from me. Both times they said 'no, we have some questions here but leave them to us, go and enjoy your holiday'. One night into my holiday and I get an email from PPL with 14 questions they needed answering. It was the questions they had the previous week when I was home to answer them. Some of the questions they wanted me to answer were not even for me to answer. I sent my answers back that night and presumed these answers would be passed on to the other solicitor. A week and a half later I ended up speaking with my account handlers manager. She was embarrassed and admitted all the answers i'd sent back were still sitting there and had not been forwarded on to other solicitor. I was fuming at this point and yet another two weeks wasted.

On the day of completion I knew 100% something would go wrong. I called the office to be told my THIRD PPL account handler (the team manager) was off ill. I asked if someone had a grip of the fact I was moving that day. No-one seemed to know anything. Then I got a call saying my account handler wasn't off ill, she was in but unable to speak as she had lost her voice. An hour later the account handler actually calls me to tell me their systems were down and they couldn't complete. So within two hours my account handler was off ill, to in but can't speak, then calls me up. She called again about 3pm and said my sale had gone through but not my purchase so they couldn't release the keys. Whilst this was going on I was in contact with the chap buying my property who said his solicitor was staggered how bad PPL have been through the whole process. What happended next left me fuming. At around 4.30pm I get a call from my account handler saying 'so you have the keys then, congrats'. I replied 'what are you talking about, I have been sitting in the estate agents for 90 mins with my 5 year old son waiting'. She replied 'oh sorry I told the man you are buying off to let you know he will release the keys even though his money is still not in his account because of our system failure'. I told her what I thought of her and the company and hung up. All this time paying removal men £60 p/h from 9am-6pm.

There is many other things I could include on here. It is the worst service I have ever received anywhere, appalling. I just hope you get to read this before choosing them and not after. Good luck.

Be warned and take heed - DO NOT use this company for your conveyancing!! You pay them to do absolutely nothing. Phone calls are never returned, the barrier of staff on first contact are there only to stop you getting to the person dealing with the case and the service is diabolical. I even feel aggrieved having to award them one star - because they're not even worth that. They advertise 6-8 weeks from start to finish for conveyancing yet we were 14 weeks and only then because we were on the phone every day and sometimes up to 3 times a day pestering them to get moving. For 4 consecutive days we were told they were just waiting for the vendors solicitor to get in touch after which, we contacted the vendor to push the solicitor herself - and guess what? Her solicitor had sent the information a whole week prior to our calls!! Repeat forms to complete, ID after ID to be sent - you would think a passport, driving licence and wage slip with NI numbers and addresses clearly visible would be enough but not satisfactory. When asked what else they could possible need, we were told it had to be a utility bill??? Steer clear if you value your sanity - far too stressful working with this sham of a company.

Do not use this service. Caused us 6 months of stress and nearly resulted in us being homeless due to failure to communicate that our property had finally completed with our seller's agents. Very difficult to speak to your own solicitor, not at all pro-active. Took them weeks to answer simple emails, thus delaying the whole process. Only good thing was the online portal, but they seemed to use that as an excuse not to do any work themselves. Communication was abysmal. I think they are short-staffed. Pay an extra £500 and go elsewhere.

Premier Property Lawyers were recommended to me by the Estate Agent I was using (YourMove) on the basis that "the seller is using them and would prefer that you did too". I had no previous relationship with a solictor in England so went ahead on that basis believing that the transfer of infomration would go smoothly and that my offer would be looked on favourably. We were outbid 24 hours after starting the legal process and forfeited almost £300 in fees. The remainder of my prepayment took many months to be returned with scant justification for the 'costs', certainly there was nothing demonstrated to me in terms of searches or documentation prepared.
On another point, it was clear that the Agency preferred the new bidder because they would be selling something as well. This resulted in a much lengthier and riskier transaction for the old chap whose house we wanted to buy but he was told untruths as well.
I guess that the lesson is: beware 'recommended' solicitors who will clearly be conflicted by receiving a stream of work from the agent (who they pay a commisssion to) versus one transaction from you.

There is a very small chain and it has been going on now for 4 months and still ongoing. We have been told by them roughly 7 different exchange days which have come and gone and no exchange.
