Decision details

The Adjudicator decided to grant Mark John Linfield a practising certificate for the practice year 2010/2011 subject to the following conditions:
1.He must deliver quarterly accountants reports to be delivered within 6 weeks of the end of the accounting period to which they relate, and
2.He must within the next 3 months attend a course accredited by the SRA on the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and provide evidence of attendance to the SRA in the form of a letter or certificate of attendance from the course provider within 14 days of attending.

Reasons/basis

Mr Linfield is subject to Regulation 3 (1) (b) and (c) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009. Having had regard to the purposes for which conditions may be imposed on a practising certificate in the public interest, set out in Regulation 6 of those Regulations, the Adjudicator is satisfied that the conditions imposed are necessary in the public interest and are reasonable and proportionate.
