There a SHAMBLES I brought 2 titles paid all my money and then 5 weeks later I was approached by a man asking what I was doing on his land called Gordons solicitors they will never talk on the phone its all most impossible to get to talk to a solicitor then find out that I don't own both titles I only own one!! and that had a charge restriction on it that they never told me about however this im being told we be removed and the restriction was from the same man that approached us..
still fighting to get anywhere with them they say its not there problem they have done everything they can and I need to sue the sellers solicitors!!!! I call the director every day (come on they taken my money and left me right in a bankruptcy state i think they failed to represent me correctly would you agree) imagine buying a property that you don't own! Imagine collecting your keys then being told you have no right over it
I constantly email and ring we are in a desperate state and don't know what we are going to do this is all true I can't believe what they have done and how they treated us

Honestly Honestly wish I was never pushed in to using them its been the worst service and till now the worst thing that's ever happened in our lives its an absolute nightmare its a disgrace how they have treated us We have paid out over hundreds of thousands of pounds for something we don't own!

Good luck if you use them I hope you never have to endure the mayhem we are still going through. someone needs to do something to company's like this ????

This company was appalling - do not use them if your mortgage ight be anything other than straightforward.

They are very difficult to contact to discuss anything:
if you call them you have a huge wait for the call to be answered by a customer service assistant who cannot actually answer anything. Your appointed 'case handler' is never available if you ask to speak to them. On the few occasions when the case handler did call, if I missed the call there was no second chance, and no way to call back, without going through the above process yet again.

When you email then you get a curt answer back 1-2 days later - it is impossible to manage a discussion on these timescales.

There was no recognition of special circumstances and as a result our mortgage took MONTHS longer than it should have, which cost us around £1000 in interest as our previous deal had expired.

Although the headline cost was quite low, various extra charges were levied without pre-warning. These were not clear up-front.

This was one of the lower cost quotes I received, and I guess you get what you pay for: my impression is of a low-cost, under-resourced set-up, providing a one-size-fits-all, low quality service. It ended up costing me far more in the long run, than using a trusted local solicitor. Never again!

Absolutely appalling service, avoid this company they are totally rubbish.
Due to complete a re-mortgage, the conveyancer goes on leave and the company is absolutely diabolical and have no back up. Numerous phone calls, personnel take your details and promise to ring you back but never do. Numerous e-mails with no response. Rang the bank they admitted they are aware that Gordon’s are not performing, and don’t have the staff. Escalated the issue via the bank, promised a phone call back after 2pm and before closing of business that day still no call from them. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Obviously the completion date is missed, meaning further charges. Totally and utterly unprofessional service, far better companies on the market. Customer service is a joke.
Ombudsman needs to step in on this company. Will be writing to the Law Society, they need to be struck off.

Extremely poor at completing things. We’ve been waiting months and months for a simple mortgage to go through. We are even having to chase multiple parties ourselves as it’s quicker and more productive than their whole team out together. Never return calls or emails in a timely manner and sometimes not at all! Multiple instances of fake promises and false assurances. Do not recommend at all! Be warned!

Absolutely useless , unresponsive , acting without instructions , attempted to charge fees for the simplest of matters which I did myself at no cost apart from postage and processing fees, conveyancing for remortgage and appointed by my lender. If zero out of five was an option then zero it would be. Beware of their unnecessary charges even if your legal fees are covered by your mortgage deal and there is close to zero chance of speaking to your case handler and zero chance of speaking to an actual lawyer.

Our review of Gordons is as follows:

1. Completing on a non-complex property took nearly 6 months, with no proper reasons given other than that they were "busy". Getting through to them on the phone was impossible (I was always 13 or 15 inline), their solicitors were slow to respond to emails, and sometimes sought to charge more money despite working for a fixed price. Some of their approach is seriously questionable in terms of honesty.

2. Despite completing in late April 2021, the solicitor never ensured that the charges were removed from the property - so we couldn't re-mortgage. This then took close to another 6 months to clear!! This cost us a LOT of money!

3. We raised complaints, including taking it to the Managing Director. At all material times there was a lack of concern or empathy to our issues, no real interest in dealing with the complaint, constant arguing about irrelevant matters. To that end, it seems their management team are as bad as the solicitors.

4. When we threatened to sue, we placed a series of deadlines for Gordons to meet in terms of Settlement (without dragging them to Court) - each and every deadline was MISSED, despite being clear that failure to meet deadlines would have result in Court proceedings against them.

5. Finally, after months of arguing, wrangling and an attempts at a war of attrition - they finally paid our damages in part as a form of a settlement. This is despite their original claim that the matter was going to litigation solicitors and insurers, etc, etc.

So, after nearly 15 months later, the saga has concluded. All told, Gordon's lack of professionalism and negligence easily cost my business around £15K - we have been able to recoup SOME of that from the settlement - but it won't cover entirety of the substantial damage Gordons has done to our business.

My advice is stay well clear. If we had have had just service issues and the complaint handled in an exemplary way, I may have a different attitude. But the WHOLE thing has been a constant battle and not worth it.

You can't speak to anyone who knows anything on the phone, they take ages to respond to emails and then they don't sort the problem. They ask for things 3 times because they are so incompetent and just repeat stupid questions over and over. They were acting for my purchasers and caused the simple sale of a property with no chain to become a mess of stress and worry. After 9 months of going round in circles I’ve finally given up and put my property back on the market, causing me all sorts of problems and losing me money. I wish I had seen this before I had use them. They are very slow indees. I started my remortgae in September and we finally finished in March. Slow is a very positive word for them. What I had was just lazyness. When I called to question after 2 months why nothing has happened I was told ' we are waiting on your paperwork' they seemed to be under the impression that they had sent me 8 letters and called me several times. I can assure you all I never got any letters and 8 don't just magically go missing. It is now June and I am still waiting for the return of some documents and it's becoming very clear that they do not have them. I'm guessing they have lost tgem this just shows you the type of company they are if they can't even keep your important documents safe for a couple of months. The receptionist is rude. One day she was actually shouting down the phone at me like I was an idiot because I didn't understand what something meant. Such a bad company I would say avoid at all costs.

Very true... That is what i'm experiencing now. My re-mortgage started since September, I've sent them all the documents through Royal mail's registered/ trackable post. They keep saying never received, until I said I've got the proof from Royal mail- signature of your staff signed end of October. Then they said we received in November. They didn't call or email to say i'm missing some documents, until from last 2 days when I've been calling them to email me the documents.

My recent experience was awful. The worst property lawyer I have ever dealt with.

- they consistently wrote to the wrong address. They were corrected twice. The neighbour to whom they sent all the documentation works for the British Antarctic Survey and was away for 2 months!
- even after correcting them twice, they still sent the balancing cheque last week to the wrong address !
- they took ages to answer the phone - every time - in some cases I was in a queue for an hour and then the call died.
- they consistently misunderstood the nature of the deal despite it being explained repeatedly
- and hence they completely messed up the final transaction
- the manager we eventually spoke to was really unhelpful and rude in her response

I am appalled at this service. A solicitor is supposed to be accountable to their client and look after their best interests. They have repeatedly not answered e-mails which I have sent them, and they once cancelled my case (a simple remortgage of my house) without instruction from me. After two or three phone calls they reinstated it with an apology. After another three weeks they have told me that they have received no emails from me when I have written at least 5. To telephone them takes half an hour just to talk to someone to ask a simple question or to make a simple statement. I have finally spoken to someone and am using a different e-mail address, but the remortgage seems to be no further on.

These lawyers work as a conveyancing factory for big banks and their services seem often to be tied in to the cheaper mortgage products. This looks like a good and cheap deal, but I would recommend holding out for a different mortgage product, or make sure you can instruct your own solicitor, even though it might look slightly more expensive over the life of your loan. It's well worth it. I have had an agonising two or three months' delay due to lack of communication between me, the broker, the mortgage company, their conveyancers, and the lawyers. None of this delay has been my fault but I am in danger of losing the house I hope to purchase.

My husband is having the same problem with them now, 4 months in and he is no closer to getting the re-mortgage sorted.
They don't seem to have received documentation on the post even though it has been signed for by them. They don't seem to know what they want as they ask for different things each time we speak to them. and they take forever to get things done.
We initially tried to get different solicitors to do the re-mortgage for us, but were told that we had no choice and had to use these guys. if I had known it was going to be this difficult, I would have just told my husband to go with a different mortgage.

May I add that they seem to have a system driven process which introduces nonsense, and the involvement of the conveyancer in this case Sarah Sutherland just added to the frustration. Despite reminding them of the need to be ready weeks ahead of time the deadline simply passed by without good reason. The complaints process is a joke it went quickly to Step 2 where the responsible partner Paul Norris has just buried his head in the sand. There is a clear demonstrated case of failings by GPL. Wish I had seen this recent feedback before. How can they get a 3-star rating based on the comments below!

I should begin by saying that Gordon's were not our solicitor but our buyers'. We have gone out of our to ensure that Gordon's have received all our documentation on time. Today, we were told our sale won't complete for at least 3 more weeks as this incompetent firm have "not had a chance to check our responses to enquiries raised yet". They received these enquiries 5 weeks ago.

I note that one of the solicitors even responded to a comment below. By all accounts, that is quite impressive as they do not respond to calls and emails from our buyer, our solicitors or our estate agent.

As a direct result of this firm's failure to work in a timely fashion, we have lost in excess of £2000 as we continue to pay a mortgage on an empty property.

I would welcome a response from the firm. Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to encourage one by naming individuals or name calling. However, it would be great if somebody there could acknowledge that whilst it is all about the money to them, to the rest of us, it is our lives that are disrupted, our children who go without because the sale has not completed, our homes that are left empty.

I would suggest a more empathetic approach. I imagine your repeat business rates are low.

I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have changed my mortgage to Natwest and unfortunately these are the lawyers that they choose to use. I will never use Natwest once this fixed rate is up and I will check which lawyers my next mortgage company uses before I go ahead with them. They seem to lose every document that I and relating people send to them.

Like many of the others reviews, Gordons PL are incompetent, amateurish, and a disgrace. So frustrating and unhelpful.
Moving house is a very stressful process, particularly this year, and when this company pops up, you know your going to be in trouble. With a lack of compassion, consideration and professionalism, Gordon's Property Lawyers should be well and truly AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.
I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING GORDONS PROPERTY LAWYERS TO ANYONE.

I don't even know where to start!!! We are currently dealing with this Company of utter moronic idiots and my patience has run out! We are currently moving house and Gordon's were the 'recommended' solicitor, how I wish I had done some more homework, and gone elsewhere! We will be lucky to complete our sales at Christmas at this rate! Emails not replied too, phone calls not answered, voicemails left asking for a return call.....nothing! Estate agent and a Financial Advisor trying to contact them for information, nothing! Then we get told that Mr Sadiq has gone on holiday and the locum hasn't turned up to cover his workload, so they are a little behind! Finally a email from someone!!

When we emailed Mr Paul Norris regarding our exchange and completion date changing due to circumstances beyond our control, we got an email back telling us ' I told you so!' Rude and incompetent.....avoid them at all costs!

As to all the 5 star ratings?.......interesting that the wording on some is exactly the same!! Because if I could give this firm a minus rating I would! We are yet to receive our final bill, however my letter of complaint is already written and waiting to be posted.

I would not normally respond to such comments posted on the internet in this type of forum preferring to resolve any such issues through our Complaints Procedure as indeed we are required to do. As solicitors we are also constrained by our duty to our clients to observe client confidentiality. However to name me personally in the context in which you have and, to describe my staff as "utter moronic idiots", is highly abusive, offensive and libellous. It is also selective of the truth and fails to recognise that the refusal to follow advice that you were given resulted in the exact scenario occurring that we were seeking to avoid on your behalf. Oh, and by the way, the ratings that you refer to are entirely genuine and, should you be interested in reading what others have said about our service, such testimonials can be viewed on our website.

If I could give no stars I would. They are utterly incompetent. I should have dumped them and instructed someone else when they kept saying they were missing a piece of ID for me - they weren't, they just couldn't count to 3. Stupidly, I persevered and I'm now over 2 months into the remortgaging process with no hope of completion for another 2 months. I'm having some building work done on my property. The YBS mortgage valuer put the loan to value at 37% in November when the work was less than halfway through (the mortgage product ceiling is 65%) and said the property is a good security on the loan and all we needed to provide was evidence of building regs approval - standard stuff. We provided a copy of the Passing of Plans notice. However, Gordons then started asking for a completion certificate. I've explained (on average twice a week) that this document cannot and will not exist until the building work is complete - the clue is in the name - but still they send me emails every week requesting it. I've even sent them a personal email from the building inspector detailing the dates of his visits and the stage of works to date but they clearly have a box to tick that says completion certificate and I can explain the concept of a completion certificate until I'm blue in the face but it won't make a difference. YBS don't understand why they're requesting it but their procedures mean they can't overrule the solicitor. So it's stalemate until either (a) Gordons hire a competent solicitor who understands the word "completion" or (b) the building work is actually completed in the Spring. I'm now resigned to waiting another 2 months. I only wish I'd found this website and looked at the reviews before I instructed them.

If I can tell anyone anything is this-DO NOT USE GORDONS AT ALL. We were forced to use these useless and rude people because of our mortgage provider. 4 months on we are still waiting for things to happen. We are almost at the point of being homeless. Everytime we try and get through to our solicitor they are always 'not available'. They do not return your emails. They have made our whole experience stressful. Suffered high blood pressure and sleepness nights and am depressed because of them. They are at the point of ruining our lives. Please if you can get out of this and use a smaller firm where you actually can speak to the lawyer directly and not case handlers and call centres. I read the reviews before using Gordons but was forced to use them....biggest regret. Lets see if they manage to do their job for once.

As you know we had major delays and problems with our lender, against whom I am in the process of making an official complaint, but despite this the legal side of things was handled very well by yourself.

I have to be honest, I was rather sceptical about using a panel firm but my doubts were totally unfounded and you were excellent throughout!

Thanks and have a very Merry Christmas.

I was referred to this company by my mortgage broker. I received the paperwork by email, and as I read the small print, became a bit dubious about the 'outsourcing' of work to India. Not that I have anything against India, but as my purchase had a tight timescale, I was not entirely comfortable with the potential 12 hour flight to locate the person dealing with my case!
I decided to email my allocated solicitor before doing anything else, as they also stated that they will return calls and emails within 2 days. I received an automated response, therefore confirming that I had sent it to the correct address...
Four days later, nothing. I telephone, apparently my email had not been received. I still haven't paid anything yet, thank goodness!
They then ask for all my details for money laundering purposes, which I email in, and shortly afterwards, I receive a phone call from a family member, advising me that they had just taken a call from GPL, during which they gave out all my information without confirming they were in fact speaking to the right person!
When I telephoned GPL back to query this, they claimed they had no other number with which to contact me...despite the fact that my mobile number was written DIRECTLY BELOW!
The last straw was when I finally received a response from my solicitor, telling me that I had to do a whole heap of work, which my broker assured me was NOT my responsibility, and not actually answering any of the questions I had asked.
Not impressed.

I would say 4.5 (so 5 if you need a round number). Overall service was fast, efficient and very cost effective, would use you again and would recommend to others.

Only feedback point I would give which may or may not be appropriate to how you operate - I'll leave it to you to decide - would be the following.

I was remortgaging from a mortgage in just my name to a joint mortgage with my wife. Naturally this required some transfer of equity legal work, the additional fees for which were flagged clearly at an early stage, so no issues there. This did however ultimately involve the payment of a sum of stamp duty that I was not aware of and only found out about once I received the closing financial statement (unexpected payment of around £1800 so not insubstantial!). Now on one hand this is simply down to my lack of knowledge in this area, but I did feel that the requirement to pay stamp duty might have been flagged in the initial GPL letter specifically detailing the transfer of equity requirements.

The building society I was remortgaging with recommended GPL. Letters were arriving from GPL stating they were acting on behalf of my building society and not me and this was a no fee service. At no point did i exchange any correspondence with GPL and informed them on countless occasions my own conveyancer was dealing with the remortgage. Letters began to arrive informing me of charges which I must pay immediately. Contacted the building society who advised I am not obliged to use them, they shouldnt be charging a fee and to inform GPL once again I had my own conveyancer who incidentally the building society were aware of and corresponding appropriately. However, letters continued to arrive until I paid a solicitor to write to them informing them they were not acting on my behalf for the remortgage and to cease all correspondence immediately. To which GPLs response was yet another letter to myself informing me that they had contacted my building society and informed them i was not proceeding with the mortgage offer and to close down my file. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT EVEN WHEN NOT INSTRUCTED TO ACT ON YOUR BEHALF NEVER MIND WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED.

Made a simple remortgage process difficult and complicated and drawn out
Initially cheap fees soon rise as they add £50 plus VAT each time for every little thing they find
They appear to do very little work for the money; the customer has to search, find, produce every scrap of information, else Gordons will charge more than £50 plus VAT...
They were delayed in contacting us as they only contact via email and had got my email address wrong; this delayed the start of the process and meant we had to stay on our current mortgage deal longer than necessary, costing us several hundred pounds
Bottom line - everyone else I spoke to has not had half as much hassle remortgaging their property; everyone else I spoke to didn't use Gordons...

They have dragged out this remortgage to 6-7 months!!! It's disgusting! There is no transparency, they throw fees at you on an ad-hoc basis and the communication is absolutely awful.

Use them at your own risk, the rest of the reviews sum up my exact experience.

I'm in complete agreement with the other negative reviews. These guys were shocking in the way they managed my remortgage. The "fee earner" I was assigned clearly had no clue of the process, sent contradictory unhelpful advice - when I got any at all, and barely responded to any questions. The last straw was the equity cheque sent to the wrong place (despite an email to the contrary). I would advise they are avoided.

I'm afraid I concur with the other reviews here. I'm trying not to scream in frustration at using Gordon's property lawyers (Debbie Brooks specifically) for a straight forward remortgage, following the recommendation from my building society - can't understand why they have any positive reviews on their site... I'll sure be leaving mine if this mortgage ever completes :-). She avoids every call I make (which is daily currently) she doesn't answer any of my questions when I try email, I instead get an incoherent blank response. They don't open 1st class letters I've sent them for well over a week and instead blame the post service. They have absolutely no regard for customer service - they are AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

Try your local conveyencer instead, or even Premier Property Lawyers if you don't mind a call centre and want a cheaper alternative - my experiences there are so much better.

This solicitor was allocated to me by Birmingham Midshires for a remortgage. I have not found them particularly easy to work with, and agree with the other comments on this site. Communication is difficult, it is like they try their hardest to stop you communicating with them. They prefer email - which I thought would be great - and they charge using a 0844 number for any phone calls. However I find that when I reply to an email I get error messages - the mail box is full and can't take any more messages. I agreed a date for completion with my allocated person, and then when I emailed to check that it was proceeding, I got an out of office message for that week. Then I got 2 emails, one saying I should call the office, and another saying it was being dealt with. - It wasn't! So I chased via email, but heard nothing. Then I got a separate email from another person who knew nothing about the case - and tried to reply to this. Guess what! An error ,message mail box full! It has driven me insane and I'm not sure where to go now...

I used Gordons Property Lawyers for a simple remortgage. Their cost was very reasonable and the online reviews I found seemed positive. However, I ended up having a very negative experience with them.
Gordons is a large call centre operation and you are assigned a "fee earner" who is your point of contact. Mine was difficult to get hold of and seemed to have little knowledge. of the process. When she was not available, I spoke to other people on the phone who were not helpful and frequently rude (perhaps because they were not "fee earners" on my case).
Overall, Gordons was disorganized and did not know what paperwork was/was not required. I sent in paperwork that they claimed was never received. We had to send one form in 3 times. At one point we sent in a bundle of papers together and despite the fact that they documented one of the forms as being received, the other forms - in the same envelope- were said to have never been received. I spent countless hours chasing things up over a 3 month period for what should have been a simple transaction. Again after the mortgage went through we could not get the final paperwork from Gordons and we never did receive our original documents back. Throughout the process it was impossible to get accurate information about where our mortgage stood and impossible to to get reliable courteous service.

I would sooner boil my own head than use Gordons Property Lawyers again. Some six months after a transaction was completed (painfully may I add) I am chasing them to return a retainer they currently hold. These people are just not interested in customer service. I have no legal training or experience, but am confident that I could provide a better conveyancing service than GPL.
THe following statements taken directly from Gordons Property Lawyers website should set alarm bells ringing:

"Do you correspond by email?
Email is our preferred means of communication, in addition to the telephone."

I say - In reality, no communication is the preferred option as GPL prefer to keep you in the dark.

"Will I be able to speak to the person dealing with my case?

Yes. We have support staff who can look at the database to see the current situation on your file and give you a general update. However there is also the opportunity to speak to the actual case handler dealing with your case so that you may enquire about any detailed requirements or legal questions."

I say - or, you could go to a regular solicitor, where you will deal with a proper solicitor and not just 'support staff' having a look at some database.

I had gordons appointed to me by a mortgage consultant for a re-mortgage. The first impression was No. an 0844 number. I asked twice for a geographical landline number and twice they did not reply. When I emailed them to say I was moving away from them as I was not impressed with their communication, they came back with a landline number.
They like to think they are on the pulse with regular updates, which is good but their use of the English language and explanation even confused a barrister friend of mine. They dug up a restriction to my property with no explanation, just a, "hand over £300 please so we can clear this restriction". I made enquires and found that my own solicitor will do for less than £100.
I also believe that my mortgage consultant have had so many complaints about them, that they are now looking to stop using them. I wrote a letter of detail to them as they wanted to compare notes with other complaints received. Tells you something. I have read that they are cheap hence why they receive orders. They add on extras to bl;eed more cash from you.
Another review site has comments also classing them as kack. then there are three reviews all on the same day, rating them 5 stars. Obviously own employees.
STAY WELL AWAY

Please take note of the 5 star comments. They are all made on the same day. OBVIOUSLY Gordons own staff bigging themselves up. The wording is too perfect to be ordinary people

I am still in the middle of my re-mortgage with these clowns. I had a gut feeling at the start as they used a 0844 number. I had to ask several times for a geo land line number. No response. I then told them that if they did not supply one, I would be going elsewhere. They supplied a number immediately.
They do not use the English language. They do not explain anything. They then slip in rip off charges. I am now trying to change these idiots for my own. These were given to me by my current mortgage people. If you ever get in this situation, refuse their recommended company. Use your own.
DO NOT USE GORDONS. THEY ARE A SHOWER OF S**T

I would not recommend Gordon's Property Lawyers. They were beyond useless. A simple transaction took over 4 months to be completed because they constantly provided inaccurate or confusing information and kept requesting questions be answered by the sellers solicitor that had already been addressed weeks before - it felt like they were trying to sabotage my purchase rather than working on my behalf. It was impossible to speak to the same person twice, they rarely returned calls and when you could get hold of someone there their legal knowledge seemed lacking - they struggled to understand/explain a simple lease agreement. I would never deal with them again.

the 'service' was truly dreadful. Impossible to get hold of a solicitor, those that were available seemed to have little or no legal knowledge or experience and worked to their own agenda rather than that required of them. Slow to respond to calls and emails. One word - AVOID. Use a local reputable solicitor instead, irrespective of the perceived 'savings' you might make. If it were possible to rate this outfit at zero, i would, Sadly a rating of 1 star is the lowest I can go.
On the other hand, if stress, incompetence and appalling service is your thing, use GPL!

I had an awful experience with this company! The staff at the call centre and rude and unhelpful, the charges are unbelievable considering their initial low quotes, they are slow at doing the work, can never speak to the solicitor, call staff won't even give you their name so you can log an official complaint but then they behave like this because they can get away with it as senior management clearly aren't concerned! This is definitely a company to avoid! Oh, and the best bit, their forms are incorrect so other solicitors won't deal with them!

Gordon's are one of the most useless solicitors I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They have been dealing with a purchase for over four months now and have only sent one letter to the owners solicitors informing them that they are instructed!
I have never been able to speak to anyone who has a clue what's going on. I am constantly being told conflicting statements, the members of staff who are supposed to be handling the case are either leaving the company (the most sensible thing to do!) or constantly on annual leave.
Absoluite sham of a company.

Obstructive, unhelpful, bad communication.
When contacted re correspondence they were unable to explain in terms understandable to any normal person - they just repeated what had been put in the letters, everything was in legal jargon which to the layman is generally not understood.
When contacted by phone, as stated by previous reviewers, you get a different person each time you ring so you have to go through all your details again and again. The most annoying part of speaking to different call handlers each time you ring is that it is an 0844 number which incurs a higher call rate.
I don't want to mention the charges!
I would not recommend or use this firm.

I was referred by a mortgage broker and decided shun my usual local solicitor due Gordons' low quote - big mistake.

They are a massive impersonal call centre operation. I found it impossible to talk to my conveyancer and when I did get a response it was generally useless. After lots of delays the matter finally completed but the figure I was charged was several times my initial quote.

Absolute nightmare. I'm just thankful I wasn't in a massive rush and it was a bog standard remortgage. Definitely one to avoid.
