I find it difficult to recommend stevensdrake for will writing . The staff were helpful and friendly in sorting out a difficult will, but the first draft had numerous mistakes; a section of our wishes missed out; missing names of executor and paragraphs wrongly numbered.
They had also added a paragraph unknown to us touting for business, stating that "it was our wish for executors to use stevensdrake as executors". It certainly wasn't our wish.
The second draft still had wrongly numbered paragraphs and a spelling mistake, despite the billing having a charge for proof reading. The 3rd and final draft was correct, but it does beg the question if we hadn't checked the wills carefully what would have been the consequences later.
We had fortunately settled for a fix charge for the wills, as an itemised bill was shown to be almost 3 times the fixed charge.

Overpriced and uncontactable. If I could have given no stars then I would have. They are incompetent- dont touch with a barge pole - there are other more competent polite lawyers in the area!

What Can Be Said About These People Other Than The Fact The Displayed The Single Biggest Display Of Incompetence I Have Ever Experience In My Life. Based On The Other Reviews I Can Quite Believe After My Experience With These "Solicitors (Read As Clowns). I Would Advise Anyone Unfortunate Enough To Have To Deal With These People To Remember That The SRA Are Only A Phone Call Away. They Would Do Well To Remember This Before Making Empty Threats.

Extremely unpleasant, greedy, hostile and incompetent.

The more people brave enough to complain the better. You are not alone.
The SRA are very concerned about this firm and they are watching them. Now is the time to make as much noise as you can.

They told us they had experience selling businesses like mine. It turns out they had none. I lost everything as a result. Their handling of probate was so dreadful the LeO ordered a full refund and an SRA investigation. I was shouted at and threatened. I told them to stop helping themselves to my Maori husbands money they just ignored me.
Truly frightening. I’ve met other clients who were equally upset. We are silenced all to easily. If I save another person then it’s worth it to me. Wendy
