Avoid. 15k spent in 3 months. Before any hearings. Just to read things and change letter font. Lack of knowledge e.g right to a family life, lies claiming they've sene the evidence when it hadn't been sent, refusal to look at evidence . Every barrister/solicitors iv spoken to since. Gasps and tuts at the cost and lack of proactivenes.

I had the unfortunate experience of working with this family legal team during my divorce, and I must say that it was a deeply disappointing and costly endeavour. From the very beginning, it became clear that their primary focus was money, not the emotional turmoil and complexities that come with such a life-altering event.

The first glaring issue I encountered was their blatant errors in the accounting of my financial situation. These errors led to a dramatic overspending on my part, as I struggled to keep up with the escalating costs. Furthermore, they provided me with a misleading quote, which only added to the financial burden. In the end, I ended up spending more on legal fees than I gained from the divorce settlement.

It became evident that their priority was solely driven by the net value of the marital assets. They seemed to be working diligently towards billing me in direct proportion to this value, disregarding any consideration for the emotional aspect of the divorce process. Every interaction with them felt transactional, devoid of empathy or understanding.

In stark contrast, my ex-spouse's solicitor, who charged significantly less, consistently outperformed my legal team. It later came to light that she had not declared all her financial accounts and had hidden money, leaving me at a significant disadvantage.

I strongly advise anyone seeking legal representation during a divorce to steer clear of this family legal team. Instead, opt for a more transparent and cost-effective solicitor who provides a clear breakdown of fees. My experience with this team was not only financially draining but also emotionally taxing. They prioritised profit over compassion, leaving me with a bitter taste and a sense of regret for entrusting them with such a crucial life event.

Very poor service and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I engaged a partner no less and was given extremely poor legal advice. He was only interested in racking up my bills. To top it all I found out by going through my invoices that I have been overcharged by hundreds of pounds. This was allegedly due to a change in their IT system. Strangely there was not one single mistake in my favour. If you decide to engage them make sure you ask for an itemised invoice. Unless you have very deep pockets and you don’t mind being fleeced do not use. Ignore the glowing fake reviews. I have left similar reviews in another sites which they have tried unsuccessfully to take down. I have all the evidence to back up this statement.
