The service I received from Emma was amazing. She produced a Contract Review for my company and her service was next to none. I would definitely recommend for any employment documentation reviews. She was always at the end of the phone and contactable. I will definitely be using this firm for my legal needs going forward.

I was very pleased with the way Thackray Williams dealt with our sale. It was a protracted and difficult process, but Gwen and her associates were always helpful and dealt with the difficulties professionally and with infinite patience. Responses were always quick and informative and friendly and the costs were very reasonable in the circumstances. I would certainly recommend to others.

We had a complicated freehold/leasehold situation with a maisonette with two freeholds and no leasehold in place. This meant that mortgage providers would not touch it which would dramatically effect the sale price. My estate agent recommended Thackery Williams as experts in freehold/leasehold situations. I was not disappointed with this recommendation. From the first contact they gave the the owner of the other freehold and myself some great advice and guidance for how to set up a new joint freehold with two separate 999 leaseholds to put the property in an extremely favourable position to sell and maximise profit. I dealt with Gloria Jackson who then went on maternity and David Gibson took over. Both were very prompt at coming back to queries and both were clearly very knowledgeable. David managed most of the case and I was extremely impressed with the level of service and standard of work done on our case. He successfully drew up the new freehold and leasehold documents carefully listening to what we wanted and checking that we were happy at each point. He also sorted through third parties new building drawing plans and the setting up of a company for the freehold. All was done in good time and it was great not to have to chase a solicitor (as I have had to with some many others). Price seemed fair compared to the rest of the market. If you have a freehold/leasehold query or concern I would definitely recommend contacting David and the team at Thackery Williams.

Everybody we dealt with at Thackrays was very helpful and informative, in particular Gwen and Marcus. Prices were slightly higher than the solicitors we had previously used (now retired) but it was worth the extra. We would recommend Thackrays to others.

We used Kevin Gauntlett for our conveyancing.
Kevin and his assistant were very reliable, professional and quick to reply.
With each query they responded by phone or by email within two hours. This was important to us as we were both busy at work.
We phoned around for prices, and Thackray Williams were as good as others but were the closest to our home.
Kevin is calm, professional & likeable - would thoroughly recommend him.

The service we received from Thackray Williams was first rate. Katie, our solicitor, worked diligently to complete all documents on time and so reduce the stress of selling and buying a property. We were kept informed of each stage and communication was swift and clarified what was required. We would highly recommend Thackray Williams and will definitely use them again in the future.

I was given a service, which was extremely professional and friendly at the same time. Katie Williams was extremely efficient, while at the same time she always had time to answer any of my – lengthy - questions. In case I could not reach her she virtually called me the next minute. You expect things do go wrong when you are buying a property in the UK while living in Germany. They did not. Katie took me through all the steps in advance and it all went extremely smoothly. Katie left no stone unturned so that even the real estate agent – from the other side – was impressed.

I have moved 3 times in the last 5 years and have also bought a investment property! I have a fair amount of experience in selling and buying houses recently, both Marcus Beavis and Gwen Li along with Thackray Williams has been the best experience of any solicitor I have worked with. I found them extremely pleasant to speak to at all times and they gave me the time to answer Q's and always replied to anything via phone or email. I have previously found it hard to get responses to Q's in anyway shape or form from some solicitors, but this experience was the polar opposite. Having someone give you the time of day in such a busy period puts your mind at rest! I couldn't recommend Marcus, Gwen and Thackray Williams more! Fantastic experience and a delight to work with.

Used Thackray Williams for conveyancing service as recommended by our developer. Thank you very much to Ms. Lydie Maniema and her team for helping a first time buyer like us, albeit a complicated case, get onto the property ladder. Very helpful throughout, from start to completion. I will definitely recommend to my friends and anyone who wants a conveyancing service that's understanding and gives good advice.

Gwen was a lone voice in a sea of ineptitude. Other solicitors in the chain were slow, uncommunicative and reluctant to act but Gwen was happy to chase the other solicitors in the chain until we finally got a result. More than happy to recommend them.

I've used John Grindley for my conveyancing recently and found him to be really efficient. He was always on hand to answer my queries (no matter how big or small) and answered the phone whenever I called which is a rarity.
When the estate agents were being awful he stepped in and handled the situation, doing their job as well as his.
Highly recommend the firm and definitely him! Would definitely use again.

We have used Gwen Li in the Bromley office three times in the last 2 years and I can easily say that we would be significantly worse off (and probably would have lost the deposit on one of the houses). What a great solicitor!!!

Specifically,

1) We bought an off-plan house a day after the Brexit referendum which caused a related transaction to fall through and which caused us to delay by one month whilst we got specialist finance in place
2) We later remortgaged that property using Gwen (straight forward...)
3) And finally we just had a horrible and extremely messy sale/related purchase which again involved the use of specialist finance to complete the onward part

Basically, Gwen has dug us out of multiple holes, saved us significant sums of money, worked all hours of the day to get our deal across (a bridge loan which took 5 days from application to drawdown) and in the process has managed to overcome incompetence from the other side and managed to hold our hands when we thought it was pretty much all over and we had lost our dream house.

So that was a long way of saying that our family are delighted and could not be happier with services received - and she is highly recommended!

I dealt with Faye Williams and Lydia Manama for an attempted purchase of a property. I cannot fault their dedication and commitment to representing me and my best interests. They were always available to talk and also emails were responded to very quickly. They both appreciated the complex and tricky situation that I was in, and I really valued their input and ability to think outside the box. I will have no doubt in using them for any further transactions going forward.
