Solicitor Spotlight: Goldsmith Williams Solicitors

This week, we take a look at one of the most well known and respected firms in the legal sector, Goldsmith Williams Solicitors. Founded in 1984 by Edward Goldsmith and Christopher Williams, the two-man team opened two offices, one in Allerton Road, Liverpool and the other in Prenton Wirral. What began as a mission to provide honest and ethical legal services within the domestic conveyancing field soon became a realization that expansion wasn't only possible, but in fact was evolving at a rate neither partner could have ever anticipated.

By 1986, senior partner Simon Cottrell came aboard and soon, the firm was representing clients who needed help with personal injury cases.

A new decade brought even more changes. A new location meant the opportunity to bring aboard new staff members. As the firm grew, so did its reputation. Once again, the firm outgrew its physical offices and following a massive renovation, the law offices moved into Mersey Chambers, the former home of the Harrison Line Shipping Group.

Goldsmith Williams Solicitors is an accredited member of the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) and consistently wins awards, including recently being named as a "highly commended legal partner" in the Bridging and Commercial Awards. This latest award follows two more recent titles. The British Mortgages Awards named Goldsmith Williams Solicitors the Business Leader of the Year - Conveyancing 2011 while Your Mortgage Awards announced the firm had been honored with its Best Legal Services Provider 2011 award.

A new service for landlords was launched earlier this summer. Landlord Assist is described as a "one-stop shop for all things landlord related". The service includes buy to let purchases/remortgages, drafting tenancy agreements, removing tenants and much more.

These days, there are more than 200 staff members and a team of brilliant legal minds whose services run the gamut; from wills and estate planning to financial claims to personal injury suits. For more than twenty five years, this team of professionals has consistently raised the bar in the legal sector. And they're just getting started.
