Alderson Law LLP

Conveyancing/property

1 stars

12/08/23 - Reviewed by Richard Glenton

As conveyancer for the buyer (and I the seller) - their Morpeth office cost me hundreds of pounds in running costs and risked the sale due to negligence in processing the sale ; it took them 12 weeks ( a usual completion time!) just to read the lease sent to them the day after the offer was accepted. They then caused delays later in the sale (staff on holiday etc). If sale was not a second attempt at selling then I would have pulled out. The sale took 31 WEEKS!.This was not caused by anything but their negligence and tardiness. They of course will not admit responsibility and compensate - although they are directly to blame. I would be very cautious about hiring them as your conveyancer if you want to ensure that the sale does not falter due to delays in processing.
