I have used Avery Walters conveyancing team many times over the last 4 years. I am a mortgage adviser and have referred many clients to the firm and used them myself for my own sale and purchase. The team have always been professional, friendly and completed the job in a suitable time frame with reasonable costs. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others and use them myself should the need arise.

We used Avery Walters Ellis when buying a property. They were slow, unfriendly and utterly clueless at times. On several occasions I had to correct them on legal matters (!!!). Our purchase, which should've taken 6-8 weeks, took over three months and cost a fortune.

I totally agree with this review about the slowness of the conveyancers working for this firm. Also cluless at times, letters sent gramatically incorrect always changing who is dealing with your case. Advised to let buyer put furniture in the house (not legal) with no completion date. I find this kind of service is now typical of the conveyancing system. I advise, as these people work for US, to find a solicitor and insist that they deal with the paperwork and not the poorly trained, deviod of how to give customer service, incompetent conveyancers.....

I used Avery Walters Ellis in 2015 to complete the sale and purchase of my homes and I have to say they were excellent. They kept me informed at all times and they were also always to available to answer any of my queries.
I cannot thank Andrew, Jackie and the team enough. My new house is great also. Thank you

Not expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Just IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone. Staff constantly telling me they had been too busy to deal with my case. Failed to point out important issues with my house purchase until the very last minute (day before exchange of contracts), putting me in a very difficult position having already spent a lot of money on legal services and surveys. Calculated my bill wrong (over charged me by £450). When the other side also failed to respond to calls, letters and emails, Avery Walters Ellis failed to take any tougher action on my behalf, leaving me helpless (but being charged plenty!). When the conveyancer dealing with my case was on holiday, I was dealt with by a paralegal who was unable to do anything to solve problems.

In my opinion the problems were not the fault of the staff physically handling my case, but because the firm had decided to take on far more work than it has staff and resources to deal with. If I could do it again I'd pay more for better service because for me what should have been a very simple transaction became a 5 month nightmare.
