Terrible service. Ended up having to do most of the liaising with others involved in the sale myself. Poor communication throughout which came to an all time high on the day we were due to exchange. No contact from our solicitor all day. Called and emailed! No updates, just ignored. Totally unacceptable. Would NOT recommend to anyone.

We are sorry to hear that you feel that you were ignored during the course of the transaction. The care of our clients is something that we take very seriously and we have procedures in place during a transaction enabling clients to raise any concerns that they may have separately with a Partner in the event that a client feels that the service has fallen short in any way. We cannot see that such a grievance was raised with us directly however.
You may be aware over the last 12 months there has been extraordinary pressure on the conveyancing market due to the SDLT 'holiday', which means that sometimes, in order to make sure that the cut-off deadlines were met for as many clients as possible, the choice had to be made between focusing on progressing the transactions or providing the usual amount of general updates. However, it would never be the case that ‘no updates’ are provided; simply that we would only contact clients when there is something to update them on.
We are sorry that you have felt that we have met the required standard on this occasion.
