We are going through a conveyancing process currently. I'm afraid that we are encountering many of the same scenarios as others who have posted here. Our biggest complaint is the lack of responsiveness to telephone calls and emails. We have to continually push for answers, and are made to feel like nuisances when we do. We were recommended to use this solicitor by our estate agents, and we should have done more research on them. It has been, so far, a truly painful process, which shows no sign of ending.

We are currently attempting to buy a property and the Braddon Snow are the vendors solicitor (you might even be the seller) and quite frankly they are appalling! Unbelievably slow on the uptake, argumentative and accusatory!
I quite honestly feel our purchase will never go through all the time Braddon and Snow are involved! They are an embrassment

I instructed the conveyancing team based out of the Broxbourne office to assist me in the purchase of a house, I had to call them and deal with rude and belligerent staff each time.
Having gotten worried by the lack of communication I contacted their office 3 weeks later to be told they simply had no record of my file. This being despite being provided with the contact details of one of their solicitors to whom numerous packs of documentation had been sent by both the estate agent and the sellers solicitors.
When I escalated this with the Operations manager (Alex) I was informed that it was my fault for not chasing sooner or responding to a voice mail (which I never received). Rather than acknowledging that they had made a mistake and looking to make steps to make amends Alex seemed happier to let himself and his negligent staff off the hook by baiting me into seeking another solicitor at the late hour.
These solicitors fit the exact stereotype of nonchalant, arrogance combined with a complete lack of empathy and lashings of incompetence. My wife is 7 months pregnant and they have made what was already a tense situation extremely stressful and anxious.
I really couldn't advise strongly enough to steer clear of this solicitors! They show no level of accountability and will make the process of buying a house super stressful.

Thank you for your review, as we discussed on the phone there was a breakdown in communication between us meaning that we have never received formal instructions from you to act on your behalf. I did not say that it was your fault for not chasing sooner but I'm afraid that having received nothing in writing from us other than an estimate of fees over 3 weeks ago you could have been more proactive.
I offered to expedite the initial stages of the conveyancing process but you indicated that this would not satisfy you. I could not agree that we would expedite the whole process as you were requiring me to as it would have had a detrimental effect on our other clients. I did not bait you into instructing other solicitors but I did make it clear that you had that option if you had lost confidence in us. You went on to intimate that if the matter aborted because the seller chose to sell to someone else (an option which is always available to them) then you would hold us accountable and other conversations would have to be had.
When I indicated that we could not act if you were going to threaten us in that way you swore at me and hung up the phone. Unfortunately due to conflict of interest rules set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority - by making that assertion you put us in what is known as an 'own interest conflict' but you did not offer me the opportunity to explain that fully.
I am obviously disappointed that the process for receiving your instructions did not work as it is intended but our rules of professional conduct are clear.

The whole process was littered with mistakes. Even my contract had the incorrect address, plot and car parking space wrong. They are incredibly rude and very rarely take calls. I would not use Braddon and snow again even if they paid me.

The conveyancing of our property encountered issue after issue, they failed to keep us in the loop and whenever you tried to contact the allocated solicitor would never be available and always have an excuse as to why.
Worst still, since moving in 6 months ago our money held on retention still hasn't been returned to us and every time we try to get in contact for advice and to chase the money either our solicitor isn't available or they 'fob us off' telling us they will call us back in a couple of days once they've had a look into the matter- not once had a call back.
Appalling service, some of the worst in the business.

Appalling service and one member of staff was particularly rude and unhelpful. After a year of inaction and several complaints, which were not dealt with properly, I took my business elsewhere.

Awful service, made so many mistakes. Delayed completion of sale/purchase. missed vital information. Would not recommend. Could never get hold of my allocated solicitor and would never return my calls.
