The family department absolutely shocking loseing paperwork to drag things out Knowing legal aid is paying for their mistakes One solicitor telling me one thing and another telling me something completely different either liars or just don't know what they're doing I wouldn't recommend using these to anybody

Solicitor Mark Benton made a massive msitake on my wife's visa application. At great cost we went to appeal. Two Months later we received a letter from the judge which clearly states the only reason he refused it was because of the solicitors mistake.
I paid Cartwright King to check my application and they failed on a schoolboy error. Had to start the 5 years visa again from day 1 plus £8K out of pocket.
I have all the documents and the words of a judge to prove all I say is true.
If I could go back in time I would sooner have my teeth removed with an axe than use Mark Benton for a visa application.
Just refused their insult of tiny compensation and it will now go to the ombudsman. I will post everything in youtube in the near future.
Minus 5 stars and a slap is my score.
Be warned....
Oh reason visa refused was my accountant for my Ltd company was not a member of a governing body. Note that I paid Cartwright King to check my application. Failed on appeal for this 1 reason. I also paid £2k to have the accounts redone for the appeal. Too late still failed.
Be warned if you pay them to check and put forward your application just one oversight of theirs will ruin your life.

A good few years ago, I had a solicitor from Cartwright King in Derby, watch my child get convicted of a crime, that was a counter allegation. Clear Video evidence of assault on my child was played in the court after the witnesses denied they witnessed my child being assaulted. Despite 16 screams to get off her with the witnesses clearly shown on the video watching. Blatant injustice that has caused me immense stress. Bad advice from solicitor not to appeal and take it to crown court. The solicitor was absolutely dispicable to advise against an appeal in crown court and if the case didn't make me so ill, I would have appealed to the crown court and made a complaint about his lack of defence for my child. The case was so blatantly corrupt, I convinced myself he was a friend of the apparent complainants (counter allegators)

Appalling service. For 1 week I tried to contact my solicitor first of all leaving a message to call me back with Reception. The following day as I had heard nothing spent 6 mins +explaining to the receptionist my concerns as I had no response from my solicitor to be told she would pass the message on. 2 and a half working days later, I phoned again and got the same reply as usual the message would be passed on. 2 hours later I had heard nothing. So I emailed them saying what Appalling service I had received and to pull my files as I was now instructing a barrister, which I am shortly after I received a voicemail from my solicitor saying she would love to hear from me and to call back, I did only to be greeted by her answer phone, I hung up . I then received another message saying she would be free as from 9:30am the following day . I called the following day at 9:45 to be greeted by her answerphone hung up and then called at 10:07 it rang for a while then said my call was being transfered then cut off. I then phoned reception and told them to tell my solicitor to follow my instructions and return my file, I was told I could tell her myself they would put me through, I said don't bother pass the message on. Today I received my file through the post all that was in it was the copy of documents I had taken in and a letter saying my solicitor had made multiple voicemailsites to me ( 2 in fact ) and told I had £ 20 remaining out of the £500 deposited as she had done 4 hours work amazing. I now will be in touch with the Ombudsman for at least poor service hopefully he will see fit to pass it on to the SRA for further investigation. Please take my advice and take your business elsewhere save yourself some time and money. I will not be letting them get away with the level of service I received if I wanted to talk to an answerphone I would have instructed one not a solicitor, very unprofessional.
