To grant Mr Trevor John Hamlyn a practising certificate for the practice year 2009/2010 subject to the conditions that (1) he may act as a solicitor only in employment or for remuneration in an arrangement which has first been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority; (2) he is not a sole practitioner or manager or owner of a recognised body; and (3) Mr Hamlyn shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
Reasons/basis
In light of Mr Hamlynâ€™s bankruptcy before the High Court of Justice on 14 July 2009, the SRA was satisfied that it is in the interests of the public that Mr Hamlyn should only practise as a solicitor subject to a degree of supervision and support.
