As a financial adviser of 37 years, I have been using and recommending to my clients solicitors for conveyancing 100's of times in the course of my work. NEVER have I come across a company that treats it's clients like this one. The mortgage conveyancing was passed to them in January of 2021 it is now June 9th 2021 and they are still awaiting for a report from the management company that owns the lease to the flat. My client is no closer to moving in to his flat than he was in January. I feel very angry that for all my efforts to stir this company into action they have ignored us. They never return a phone call never answer E maii's they are completely useless and unapologetic for their lack of work. They do not deserve a star they deserve a minus 5 Star rating. AVOID THIS COMPANY< YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Think of everything you want or need a conveyancer to do and then imagine what could happen if none of it was done correctly and you have got an idea of what this firm is. Shambolic, disorganised, haphazard are just three of the printable description. whilst the rest of the chains conveyancers are in a position to complete this bunch of cowboys still haven't done searches, and they were at the start of the chain. avoid using them at all costs. Whatever their price is quoted my advice is pay double and go elsewhere. I wouldn't trust them to convey a message let alone a property. Had to leave 1 star but should be minus 5.

Absolutely disgraceful 12 weeks and still waiting for sale to complete. Never answered e mails left messages No,one gets back. Total waste of time. And I am the vendor. Feel sorry for buyer he us pulling his hair out after getting the same response.Avoid

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Absolute shambles of a company. If anyone gets a solicitor called Sharleen Shevels and her assistant Jean Dale then you will be waiting WEEKS probably MONTHS before they start your case. I am 5 weeks into my sale and I have had no communication other than to say my documents were “under review.” The vendors solicitor has tried to contact, again no communication. Absolutely ridiculous. What should have been a fast turn around i.e cash buyer/ no survey has turned into a lengthy non-communicative nightmare. They are an absolute disgrace. Avoid and GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

If I could review this with no stars I would. Appalling service from start to finish. Took our payment and over 2 months later had still done NOTHING. Wish I done my research and looked at the reviews for this company online before I decided to use them as it would of definitely put me off. Have now last minute had to change solicitors because these are incapable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I don't really leave many reviews, but because of how I felt when I read the other comments on here and other websites, and how differently I was dealt with by this firm, I felt it important to do so.

I was very sceptical on instructing this firm after reading some of the negative reviews, but they were amongst the best priced, so I thought I'd give them a try!

Without a doubt I shouldn't have worried at all. They (Anthony) handled my fairly complicated transaction (split, court involvement and chain) really well, and it all completed in the way we needed it to and in a manner I would expect.

I've used many solicitors over the years and have come to know when there is a bad solicitor, and these guys really aren't. Everyone is entitled to there opinion, but if you're in a situation similar to mine, my suggestion would be to give them a try. They are really approachable and get things done, which is what you need in a solicitor.

I chose Core Legal simply because this online solicitor services comparison website picked them for having the most competitive quote and later found out that this was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Here's a list of facts;

- Zero sense of time sensitivity:
Expect to receive 1 message out of your 20 calls and 30 emails. They have no sense of urgency, hence be prepared to do all the chasing (no guarantee they'll do what they're supposed to do though)

- Terrible management:
There has been 2 cases of important mails by post missing which went unnoticed for 2-3 weeks until I stepped in to enquire about this. Their excuse was 'we're a small company hence we could get mails misplaced' - makes zero sense whatsoever.

- Delays, delays, delays:
Weeks and months have gone by despite what initially looked to be a simple case (hence the quote I'd paid for the service was only £350). I'm still having to wait for them to finish on document checks which should have been done months ago.

In short, do not use them if you want to save yourself headaches and absolutely unnecessary extra costs due to the delays caused by their extremely poor service.

Ella Webb from the Wakefiled office of Core Legal was super-wonderful! But the overall experince was rather tricky and bumpy ride - but thankfully got there in the end. I wish everyone would take example from Ella : she was super quick in responding, poilte, professional and made the difficult process streamline along beautifully towards the end. Well done Ella, you are a credit to Core Legal. (*****) 5 STARS for Ella.

I would give these guys ZERO stars if I could. Victoria from core legal has been dealing with our purchase. We bought our property 1 year and 2 months ago and still haven't been sent the completion pack. We had to chase every week just to get our land registry certificate. This was only provided to us AFTER a year we moved in. Please don't use this guys. AVOID at all costs.

They charge an absolute fortune.

Awful....terrible terrible service

Core legal don't even deserve the 1 star I have to add. Same experience as others for conveyance. Terrible communication. Ignore phone calls and emails from buyer, seller, estate agents and other solicitor for upwards of 4 weeks at a time. Took 6 weeks for searches and left 6 weeks between between searches coming back and starting enquiries. Conveyance for chain free sale with vacant possession has taken 4 months and counting. Property is due to be resisted due to this incompetence.

Have complained through their complaints process and this has not even been acknowledged. Clearly there are fundamental problems in this firm from the top down, apart from one lovely polite and helpful person I spoke to who deals with online communication.

I understand that this firm offers slightly lower than average price, but this does not equal good value. If you want to pay half the price and only get half a conveyance than you probably won't be disappointed I suppose. But if you want the full conveyance, the chances are you will lose your survey fees and have to find a real solicitor anyway.

From start to finish Zahra was amazing. Really guided me through the whole first time buyer experience. Quick replies to emails and even managed to get my original documents. You are a star. I would recommend Core Legal to my friends and family.

I used core legal in Wakefield for my sale and purchase and found them to have great communication and honesty. Matthew Dickenson was my solicitor and he had help from Ella and Rachael. I found them all friendly and helpful and would use again.
