The behaviour of this firm is why any legal challenge is costly and time consuming. They are obstructive, rude and unhelpful. I am a Litigant in Person and they treated me like muck, refused to respond to me and the legal secretary told me to get a solicitor and put the phone down on me, clearly despising L in P I complained to Louise Walker the office manager who was initially pleasant and said she would ‘investigate’ as expected the Secretary lied and stated I had been shouting at her, luckily I had recorded the call, which proved I hadn’t and she never mentioned shouting on the call. I can’t abide liars and all she had to do was be helpful and liaise, but they have this attitude that you have to be a solicitor to get respect. Walker never asked for my telephone evidence, just believed her Secretary, what a surprise! Wish people would just be honest.

I didn't find them useful, my last solicitors firm unfortunately closed. I had a good solicitor there, who would get back to me the same day or answer the phone straight away and sent all of the paper work to the court. Moving to crombie and Wilkinson, I expected a solicitor. A paralegal was put in place, when I phoned it took nearly a week for them to contact me, not the same day. The paper work was not sent to the court and the judge got annoyed and all they asked for was money and payment, which my last solicitor never did. My previous solicitor would write a email or a letter on the same day, it would take crombie and wilkinson nearly two weeks. I would not recommend them.

Belinda's charge was very reasonable. She explained the process clearly and kept me informed along the way. We achieved Grant of Probate earlier than anticipated. Recommended.

Was a Great company but since the retirement of a couple of senior Solicitors . I must say that I felt let down and I hand my families case wasn’t important enough for them to care? The staff are great but let down by senior professional.
They didn’t deliver on his promise’s , I felt they went from caring! It became very evident it more about the easy money than fighting my case!
Which is shame as I once held this company in High Regard!
Now I would not recommend to anyone, certainly not to anyone in need of help in Family Court!

I agree, especially the directors. Rude, arrogant, complete lack of trust and inability to listen unless you fully conform with their adgenda, put simply it's their way or the highway!

Absolutely diabolical, they have obviously taken on too much conveyancing work that they just can’t cope with. No communication, hold up’s sending documents, all other parties ready and waiting just Crombie’s holding things up. Making a stressful situation so much worse.

We hope that you were able to speak to us about this complaint to get to the bottom of what any issues were, our Head of the Property Team will be more than happy to speak to you about your matter to reassure you, please do contact Jessica Duffy on 01904 624185. Our Residential Conveyancing team are working extremely hard on all our client instructions to ensure that sales and purchases are progressing as quickly as they can do and are in regular contact with our conveyancing clients keeping them up to date on their matter so as to avoid delays/issues along the way. We most definitely do not take on more work than the firm/team is able to manage and we are clear from the outset with clients to set expectations. This is part of our Service Pledge and Client Centred Value which all staff at CW work to.

Terrible from start to finish. Failed to pass on the sale documents and held up my house purchase by over a month. I finally managed to contact the vendors directly and discovered that they were ready to sell and had been told by my solicitors that they were waiting for me to sign! They hadn't even given me the paperwork!
