I wouldn't bother with this company again, we had to use them through Direct Line but 2 years down the line still no compensation for a no fault accident. Reading all the other negative comments mine are exactly the same, they are not very nice when I keep ringing to find out how the case is going what they don't understand is that all this business over the last two years has been very stressful and I have lost money by not being able to work for a considerable time after the accident, it's lucky that I have a partner that can work extra hours to compensate for some of the losses.

Used DLG legal services through my car insurance legal protection, The service has been a joke, they have not acted in my best interest, and excuse after excuse has been made for why things haven't been done. They threatened to close my claim if I did not accept an offer that leaves me OUT of pocket with all the care and expenses that I had to pay up front following my accident. I will NEVER use them again. My case is STILL ongoing as apparently for 2 months running, the other insurance companies accounts department has been closed or unreachable. So in short, bullies, don't act in your best interest, don't listen to the client or support you. Wish I had never bothered with motor legal protection and wish I had just used a no win no fee company instead! I can provide proof that I am a current client and extensive proof of the service I have and am receiving.

Please people look around for someone else, 4 years after a road traffic accident. I was walking along the pavement when a drunk driver mounted the pavement and hit me. He ran off and was caught 10 days later and charged by the police. His insurance admitted 100% liability, and guess what, DLG forgot to go to court and the case was struck out???? meaning i lost the case. 4 months later when i was chasing it up they admitted the had got it wrong. They informed me i can get another solicitor to take a case against them for my losses, but they will try to stop the other side coming after me for their legal cost. I must have had 10 different people dealing with this since the start, bad does not describe them enough, so know i have to find another solicitor to fight them for my losses, so once again run away as fast as you can.

Hi just an update its now 15th April and still no settlement from them. Case handler can no longer dea with it above her paygrade. So the solicitor all very polite but still talks alot of waffle, has to wait for a response from his manager wo is out the office for a couple of weeks and no one else can can deal with it. I tried to sort it with them by not involving another solicitor (big mistake). They decided that i needed quantum from an indepentant barrister, could not believe she is a specialist in spanish law/ animal case neglect. And just to top it up she valued my case over 10K less than before, you could not make this kind of stuff up.

Had road traffic accident back in July 2014 and has now been resolved. Thanks to Glen Dalgarno.
The two solicitors that were previously dealing with my claim seemed to be doing nothing and there was practically no advice from them.
Then Glen Dalgarno took on the case and in approximately three months the case was resolved and I also received four times the initial compensation offer, again thanks to Glen. He constantly kept me updated and gave me honest advise, I cannot thank him enough.

I would have only given two stars, but I have given five because Glen took the case on and dealt with it superbly. Thank you very much.

Please do not use these lot. I was given no option to use them through my Insurance company. They are responsive at the start when they want your business, but this soon tails off. They do not keep you updated, nor do they answer emails or telephone calls. I Left messages several times for them to call me but they seldom do. I had to keep chasing them. Every time I called, they have the same excuse of being extremely busy to be able to get on with my case (I wonder what they spend their time on!).

I was injured in a head on in December 2018. DLG asked if they could represent me but I wish I had read the reviews first. It Is now now June and I have had to ask for replies to my letters sent in January! They deny receiving them at first. They don’t respond to emails or letters and when they do they are full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. They ask the same questions to which I have already answered. They asked in January if I would like physiotherapy but this has never been arranged. I am now instructing my own physiotherapist.

PLEASE PLEASE ....do NOT engage DLG legal services.
The staff handling of my case so far has been are haphazard and very unprofessional
They NEVER call you back even after promising they will.
They rarely reply to emails
Letters punctuated with wrong info, spelling mistakes, grammatical errors etc.
I have had at least 4 case handlers since I was unfortunate enough to be sent to them via Sainsburys home insurance around a year ago
I was told one delay was due to various staff leaving, then I was told another delay was due to my file being " misplaced "
Today I was told they were too busy because there was a road show on, though why this would impact a law firm is beyond me
They have admitted their service is poor ( I have a recording ) and apologised unreservedly several times for ignoring my calls and emails, yet they still continue in this totally unacceptable unprofessional manner.
I have wasted so much time and money chasing these people for updates
DLG have caused me more stress than you could imagine.
Do yourself a favour and DO NOT USE DLG unless you have the patience of Job, and unlimited funds.

Currently pursuing a claim having had a car accident. I was in a very fragile state following the crash and they rung me and made me do an hour long interview with all the details. I was then told in a letter that I had to go with them or I’d be liable for all legal costs incurred so far. The letter spelled my name wrongly (even though I’d painstakingly spelled it out using the phonetic alphabet multiple times on the phone). The letter also had many typos and mistakes including important details about myself and the accident. I then had to go to a medical specialist which seemed to be a doctor who was just working for DLG and it was in a building that was definitely not a doctor’s surgery. After this, they kept talking about a “split lip” that the doctor had forgotten to write about (it was NOT a split lip but a tear in my mouth that had meant I had to undergo maxillofacial surgery). There’s a lot more to complain about but all I can say is DO NOT USE THEM. I honestly wish I had got my own solicitor and had the costs covered by Direct Line (hadn’t realised this was even an option.)

Absolutely appalling service, biased looking after the insurance companies best interests not clients. Told me solicitor gone off sick allocated to my case, had to fight for another to review my evidence for rogue builder dispute, failed to read email evidence, wrote saying they are not supporting claim. Phones ring out or engaged, clearly biased towards mitigating cost to direct line insurance. Absolute farse. Strongly advise you to avoid and instruct your own solicitor which is what I asked for but didn't get. Will report to Ombudsman and law society.

Firstly they are only interested in personal injury. After reporting no injury, they had their finger paused over the 'close' button. Loss of earnings ? Took a day off to make arrangements for car pick up and collection of rental. Day off ? Sorry, no loss - can't claim - despite explaining I could put a monetary value on that and that I had lost a days leave to sort assist the insurance in repairs and to get back on teh road, it fell on deaf ears. Take it as unpaid leave and we can claim it back came the answer.

Future premiums / U-Switch : "Some providers can raise your premiums by up to 30% for one non-fault claim" - it's all out there, freely broadcast by the industry and motoring bodies. It's a certainty.

Over 3 vehicles the premiums are likely to be boosted by £150+ - over 5 years - sorry that's in the future and it's supposition, you can't claim. I asked them to contact the insurer (who appointed them ) and asked them to calculate the increase that would be applied on my current policy today. They refused. They basically had no idea what I as on about.

So, only if you've paid out yourself or claim to have been 'hurt' will they even entertain getting any money back and any compensation, as it's all on a menu processed by admin staff who don;t know anything about claiming in the legal system.

You pay for your legal cover policy but don't expect DLG to even entertain a discussion about what your true losses are and if it's just their 'policy' or if there's a legal basis for non-pursuance. Very poor.

Outstanding Service from start to finish by my solicitor Beth Robertson, employment law and Alexander Marks, Litigation. Was initially concerned when I read some of the feedback for this firm. At some stage initially tried to change to Leigh Day, solely to have a "big name". What a horrendous experience in comparison to DLG. Luckily the latter agreed to take my case back and got it all sorted in the most professional manner. Both Beth and Alexander go the extra mile to support clients, immediately get back to clients to ensure a speedy process (usually it is the other way round with most solicitors) are very knowledgeable, approachable and extremely supportive. Great firm, would fully recommend without reservations.

My wife & I were involved in a serious head on road traffic accident which wrote off our car and left us with various injuries. The other party admitted liability and we engaged DLG to pursue Personal Injury Claims. This was all new to us but Ruchi , the solicitor appointed to pursue our claims , was warm , engaging and patiently outlined the process that needed to be followed and was always available to answer any queries that we had. The Personal Injury Claim procedure is necessarily prolonged but at the end of it we both received hefty cash sums as compensation to settle our claims. This was entirely down to the excellent service provided by DLG and in particular Ruchi , our solicitor. I would highly recommend using DLG if you are in the unfortunate position where you have to pursue a Personal Injury Claim. You will be treat sympathetically and like a human being and not simply a number.

I was initially apprehensive when checking DLG's online feedback. I have been nothing but positively surprised since. Amazing customer service. Extremely efficient and dedicated and solicitors always got back in a very timely manner. Expected that I would be wasting lots of time having to chase them, this was not the case though at all. Extremely friendly and professional. The two solicitors I have dealt with were Beth Robertson and Ronan Mulqueeny. Great company, would recommend without hesitation.

I really cannot stress how incompetent these people truly are. They were recommended to me by my insurance company (Sainsburys) and they really are that bad I moved to a new law firm.

Firstly, forget basic spelling and grammar, they cannot master this. Official letters sent out on were full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

Secondly, they don't read reports properly. My 1st medical report requested a psychiatric assessment, this was never followed up (despite asking) until 3 months following receipt of the 2nd medical report (which was 6 months post the first). When they finally decided to address this, the question was whether I wanted one or not.

Thirdly, my case was consistently delayed because of DLG. This wasn't delays due to responding to the third party etc, this was because of their own internal processes. I had 3 case handlers (no solicitor) and each time it took several weeks/months to get sorted. My case was passed around their teams for 3 months because they couldn't figure out which team the claim should sit with.

Fourthly, no assessment as to what medical aspects I would need. This is something that is meant to be done in order to ensure that the claimant doesn't suffer. I never had this nor knew anything about it until I moved to my current solicitors.

Fifthly, when a formal complaint was raised with the insurance company, the basically lied. I had to prove my case by showing email chains, letters and records of phone calls in order to show how incompetent they truly were. When DLG realised they'd lost the argument, they offered a £75 compensation for which I'm still waiting on receiving (5 months after offering it).

My advice, really don't go with these guys. They truly are utterly useless and they will damage your claim.
