So far our service from Jenny has been amazing. We have have two properties we're mortgaging at once and the second was with another firm, but they messed up so we've moved this over to FootAnstey now too. More progress in two days than the others made in weeks. Hope to complete soon. Jenny takes time to speak on the phone and all emails are answered within around half an hour (unlike the other firm who didn't bother to reply over half the time). Thank you

Awful service.
Relatively quick but missed several things and simple admin mistakes held out completion up. A year and a half down the line and still don't have the property in our name on land registry.
Simply useless and don't care at all. Our solicitor was particularly rude and took advantage of the fact we were first time buyers.

They are very bad! We had our purchase passed on to different conveyors twice and each time the new person had limited information on the original inquires to the seller. When I ask if one request was actually needed the response was, "I don't know since I didn't make these inquires it was the previous person". When I call to check on process they are rude ending the calls in minutes (I only called three times because of this). I have to e-mail 3 or 4 times to get a response which has not once actually answered the questions I have asked. The main response I get each time is "waiting on responses" When I asked what specific inquires are still outstanding I was told "items pertaining to the property". This is the first review of anything I have ever written but I am so frustrated with the service I think I think it is important for people to know not to choose this firm when selling or purchasing a home. I honestly can say it is surprisingly bad service and if I could give it 0 stars I would.

Alas ZERO / O is not an option.
This firm has terrible service, and in cahoots with Barrat Home Southampton, selling flats that had doubling ground rents.
When a complaint was made, It has then hidden behind the ignorance of customers to limitations law and record retention - which of course has no paperwork that implicates there bad services in lieu of fees and monies.
Offered no assistance in helping with the leasehold scam.
Proper criminals and fraudsters, protected by the SRA
This firm needs investigating, but is probably protected by the corrupt judiciary in the South West of England and people like Mogg.

Poor communication! All the time I have to sent email to ask what happens with my daughter claim.
In conclusion, they decided to give the file to pupil Barist and conclusion is : 30% to win, because is our fault like parents, :) how’s in this world like parents, do something like that? To injury the child? That was a racism. It’s not right, my daughter have problems with her circulation to that leg and now! Anyway I haven’t been happy with that Solicitor.

In the pocket of their banking masters, meting out bully-boy tactics to beat you into submission. Threats of massive cost bills, harassment, and aggressive tactics. Even got the Nuremburg defence off to a tee. "it's really not personal, we're just a commercial entity doing what our client wants us to do". Well it's personal to me. These people have no humanity. If you care about the lives of normal people ahead of the interests of corporate power, then please do not ever use this law firm.

We used these for the purchase of our house. They are by a very large margin the most incompetent company I have had the misfortune to have had dealings with. They are staffed by very inexperienced people who still have the mentality of school children. You have to harass them nonstop to get anything done. Truly truly dreadful. Avoid like the plague.

This firm is clearly more interested in making money, than the interest of the client.
The did not pick up onerous ground rent terms due to clear collusion with Barratt Homes and not properly supervising junior staff.

Couldn't convince mr to use them again even if you paid me.
No urgency and a waste of space.
Avoid at all costs as expensice and you get the service provided by volume conveyancers.

Incompetence round every corner. We were referred to Foot Anstey by our house builder and have used them to conveyance the sale of our existing property.
After 5 weeks from the 3rd parties solicitors being instructed, Foot Anstey they had no idea whether searches had been completed and had not liaised for the weeks with them. They advised "we are waiting for inquiries".
Low and behold the buyers had pulled out which I have been advised could have been identified weeks before if our conveyancer was actually doing their job chasing whether they had been completed or not.
The second time round, they were no better until I threatened them with a compliant to the SRA. Since then things have moved along, until you stop calling and give them a couple of days rest-bite.
I am still dealing with them after nearly 3 months (No nearer to sale) and if you are, I would advise to hound them. If you are thinking about using them, I would suggest going to a tin-pot volume conveyancer as you will pay half the amount of money and still get a better service.

My builder suggested this solicitor. They work in favor to builder and they never support their customer. In my experience they even lied to us we found that out and address it to them but still no response or apologies. I would strongly not recommend them. I have gone through so many struggles with the builder but still no support or no word from this solicitor.

Foot Anstey undertook my house conveyancing in 2015. Things went smoothly until the final billing and then subsequent complaints process. I would NOT recommend them, indeed, based on my own experience I would recommend actively avoiding them
