I’ve been in property over 25 years, I’ve never had this. I was quoted £2k legal fees to buy a flat, after weeks in, legal work complete - they’ve now said, they want to increase the legal fee to £4,722. Stating they didn’t know who was buying the flat & what type of finance was involved.
What are you talking about Frettens?!?
I feel ‘duped’.
I’m obviously dis-instructing them & now have to enter litigation / waste my time to the SRA. (I just wanted to buy a flat).
What’s making this worse, is the boss is now involved, lying to me. It’s like gaslighting to a client.

Over the last year we have used Frettens for conveyancing, wills and trusts, the service we received in all three cases has been outstanding from start to finish. In all cases the fixed price quotes really were fixed price, the service was polite and efficient, and questions were always answered promptly with clear and concise responses. Frettens will be our first choice for any future legal work.
