The service provided was okay to begin with, but after a while, there was absolutely no sense of urgency with anything. They had to be chased all the time. They also did the conveyancing on a property In the will and again, had to be constantly chased and it took a ridiculous amount of time to complete the sale. I would not recommend this firm at all.

Service was OK to start with, but communication as things progressed was seriously lacking, we had to keep asking for updates and chasing them up for forms to be sent to various offices, which we found out ourselves were not being sent, eventually I spoke to a senior partner, and due to us being so unhappy with the service we were being given he suggested we change to another solicitor in the practice, which we did as we felt if we stuck with the original solicitor this Will was never going to be completed. We also used another solicitor for the sale of the house and lack of communication was just as bad. Sum up - I would not use this company if you want good communication and you don’t expect anything to be done with urgency.

Initially received decent service with a plan of what was to happen re searches etc. After that, communication was very poor with little or no contact unless initiated by us. Even then, calls were often not returned. This did improve once we had asked to speak with a senior partner. There never seemed any urgency with anything though sadly, this seems to be the case with all of the solicitors in the chain. Would we recommend Gardner, Iliff & Dowding-no.

Would award zero stars if possible. Conveyancer is due to the leave the business shortly and has made it clear that she is not focused on the job she is being paid to do right now. Disgusting service and appalling attitude. Incompetent, lazy and should be avoided at all costs!!!
