I was already experiencing challenging times when the need for a solicitor came up. I approached Hamilton Davies on 26 of Aug 2021 to take on my case. Pleasant initial contact. Professional. Took my 120£ payment for the consultation and gave me a summary of what we discussed a few days after. They asked for a £900 retainer which I promptly transferred and that is when all went down hill.

Very poor communication taking days even weeks before responding. One message of mine took three weeks before acknowledged. Sat on my case for 6 weeks saying that I something came up on their checks on me which perplexed me as I have regular enhanced DBS from work. 6 weeks that I will never be able to claw back.

I eventually had to cut my ties with them and get another lawyer which cost me additional.

Lawyers are supposed to be advocates and representative of one’s best interest as best as they can. I did not experience any care and support from Hamilton Davies.

Excellent service from local solicitors

I have used their services twice over the last couple of years and found them to be helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and efficient. On both occasions they gave helpful and clear advice at a price I was happy to pay.

Mr Davies was reassuring and the perfect support I needed to see me through my divorce. I was confident to ask any question and know that I would get professional and trusted advice.
