Hawley and rodgers are a breath of fresh air after using a firm with a call centre. They knew exactly what was happening with mu case anytime i called in. Prices are very competitive and fair as the service you get far exceeded anything if had with other firms. I have been using Hawley & Rodgers for 4 years and and will continue to do so.

I cant give a 0 star review otherwise I would. Appointed this firm on two purchases and have to say worst firm in my 25 years of property dealing. First the solicitor left the firm and another solicioat the firm was appointed. They lost the paperwork and started from scratch and requoted me a higher price for a job already agreed and signed contracts for. Then the second solicitor also left the firm and I was appointed a third solicitor who took 5 weeks to even look at the files. Did a very poor job and response to my complaint was to refer to my terms and conditions for the complaints manager. I contacted the firm who told me that the complaints manager on my terms and conditions had retired in 2017. The subsequent complaint was handled very poorly and totally factually incorrect. Managed to finally get through one purchase after EIGHT MONTHS there was no chain but they were negligent in so many ways. There were also issues on day of exchange and completion. Second purchase they withdrew from and also had the nerve to invoice me for £360 on a bogus claim that I tried to influence them on aspects of the purchase. When I pointed out they had completely inaccurate facts they ignored this and gave a rude response this was from a partner. They tried to force me to pay the bill with phone calls a letter and email which I refused. They also would not return the searches I had paid them £300 for or the forms I had signed by another solicitor. As a result I put of pocket by over £1000. I have referred to legal ombudsman and I will ensure that I go to court out of principal. If necessary. I have also raised with the lender to get them stripped of status on the panel. Avoid this firm plenty of better and cheaper firms out there. I have all of this in emails so if they would like to respond to this reference I suggest they provide some proof to refute anything I have said. They had a chance to resolve this easily but opted to try and bully me and get money from me by getting the lender know I owed money per their false invoice this was on the unrelated transaction for which I had to pay them. Looking forward to my day in court for a company that has problems where clearly employees don't want to work there.

I was told they could sort out a caravan problem. I did all the running around and gave him the information, so all he had to do was send a letter. I paid for the first appointment in cash and got my receipt. Three days later got a letter to say hadn't paid, avensurely got it sorted. He never listen to what I told him, so when he shown me emails that he was going to send they were wrong and he wanted me to pay for amending. He would never give me a itemized bill. Then heard nothing for month's tried on numerous occasions to get in touch but no reply. Ended up ringing head office only to be told he is no longer on the case. SO WOULD I RECOMMEND= ABSOLUTELY NOT............

Do not use this solicitor if you’d like a smooth and swift sale and purchase process. We used the Bingham branch back in 2016 and it was excuse after excuse as to why exchange didn’t happen time after time. What these guys didn’t rely on was the chain actually talking amongst themselves which then highlighted to us that everybody else’s competent solicitors were actually all ready to go and it was in fact our solitons holding up the chain!! If you have the misfortune of choosing Hawley and Rodgers prior to looking at reviews, I would always investigate into excuses from this company as you’ll probably expose underlying issues of incompetence from Hawley and Rodgers themselves. Absolute joke!

Brilliant service for selling & buying our home. Quick to respond to emails, easy to get hold of & friendly. Without a doubt the best solicitors we have used for selling a house & would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

On selling a property recently the conveyancing, undertaken by Hawley & Rodgers in Bingham, took approximately 3 months. During this time, the buyer and I spoke to each other regularly and neither of us were aware of any issues that might cause delay. The cash buyer was ready to move in June and the property was vacant, eventually we completed in September. Despite ringing Hawley & Rodgers regularly and also emailing and writing, I still have not received an answer as to why the conveyancing took so long.

I agree with the previous review. My case is still ongoing and has been passed to different people delaying everything. It is invariably myself who has to contact them for an update. I wonder whether they should be handling probate.

This solicitor makes a show of specializing in Elder law.I needed elder advice regarding my fathers state of affairs,so I decided to try them, No one on reception when I arrived,then waited 5 minutes after which receptionist?arrived. Her demeanor was unprofessional, she was dismissive and annoyed that I needed more than one syllable to explain the problem/s.left within 2 minutes of walking in.

I would not recommend this company to anybody! Twice I rang to chase up a conveyancing quote, this was over 1 week ago, still to this date I am waiting to hear back. Poor level of service. Stay well away! As a minimum I have to pick 1 star, but they are not even worth that!

Poor communication, Do not reply to Phonecalls, emails etc. 12 months to sort out a very simple will when appointed as executors. Charged double what it should have been. Lied about when probate was passed. Disgusting service, not happy.
