I am writing this review as a former employee of Kathryn Langton, who was the sole director of Langton Law Ltd — a firm forcibly shut down by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in 2024 due to serious regulatory breaches.
I successfully took the firm to an Employment Tribunal and was awarded £3,845.60 on 1 May 2025 (case no. 2407427/2024) for unpaid wages, holiday pay, and breach of contract. Despite this legally binding decision, no payment has been made.
Ms. Langton has blocked me on social media, refused to engage with enforcement officers, and is currently working at Hayworth & Gallagher Solicitors while avoiding all responsibility for the outstanding debt. Her former company, Langton Law Ltd, is now attempting to be struck off the Companies House register — a tactic that would prevent all former employees from recovering legally owed money.
This is someone who has walked away from the destruction of a regulated firm and left others to pick up the pieces, while continuing to practice law under a new banner. Clients and colleagues should be aware of this history and the unresolved legal and ethical consequences attached to it.

Such poor service given. Failed to progress case through poor internal management, passing case between junior staff, failed to respond to other sides solicitor letter despite charged time on case review and letter drafting, failed to register and act on communications. Case never concluded. Ended up involving the Legal Ombudsman and being awarded compensation by this firm. A complete waste of my time and effort over 2+ years. The firm did forefeit fees..... but that is not the point. Would NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrible service with no empathy or apparent dedication. Everyone passes the book and blame instead of working to resolve issues. Utterly unprofessional (be prepared for ‘I’ve thrown in the towel’ comments on the 11th hour of a house purchase) and I couldn’t urge you more to save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
