General Legal advice

19/02/22 - Reviewed by Avoid - I could have done a better job myself, absolutely hopeless and not fit for purpose
Residential conveyancing at the Aylesbury branch is appalling, 5 months for a simple sale and purchase with a lease extension, we gave up in the end. Solicitor said we didn’t tell her about the lease extension even though we were quoted for it and kept chasing. If you don’t chase nothing will get done by the way. My latest request to complain was completely ignored. Our solicitor appeared unorganised and hadn’t even looked at our file on a Zoom call, scrambling through papers on her desk totally unprepared. She asked my 79 year old mum if she was getting a mortgage. We wished we’d gone elsewhere but they used to be good. The stress made my mum ill and she had to pull out. Take my advice and avoid at all costs, you will find the experience stressful beyond belief, prepare for some sleepless nights. The solicitor ignored an important email that had sat in her email box for 2 months. We are preparing to take our complaint further. We had 3 moving dates that were cancelled the day before! It was all a DISASTER!

Absolutely appalling. They do nothing at all until you get on their case. I would warn anyone against using this firm if you want anything done.
