General Legal advice
27/03/23 - Reviewed by Pete O'Sullivan
We appointed LCF Law (Leeds) to offer advice on a situation we have ongoing with Trading 212, Financial Conduct Authority and Financial Ombudsman Service.
LCF charged us £3900 inc Vat.
Upon receiving the advice we noticed the evidence we relied upon going forward had been excluded from being mentioned and subsequently received no reasoning as to its exclusion.
We complained to LCF about this untoward action with no acceptable explanation being offered.
We instructed LCF to send out solicitors letters to both Trading 212 and FOS, only to be point blank refused this request.
We had managing partner Simon Stell take on the required internal investigation. In concluding, Simon Stell misrepresented the clear and evidenced facts in order to try and avoid further scrutiny into their operation. A bit like marking your own homework with these internal investigations.
I have emails accusing LCF’s Charles Abraham of refusing my further instructions to send out solicitors letters, this claim has never been contested, however Simon Stell claims it never happened…..why was the claim never contested then Simon??
LCF have evidenced to me they are dishonest in their practice.
To pay a substantial amount of money for advice and then have your further instructions refused is of wrongful action by LCF.
Taking away the option to progress away from the clients is no use to anyone.
It looks like the influence of FCA/FOS is greater than the clients needs.
When lawyers blatantly misrepresent facts and evidence how dishonest they are, they should be struck off.
Let’s see if the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Legal Ombudsman do right by the consumers.
I doubt it as LCF are doing this in 2023.
We instruct lawyers to adequately advise and operate to our instructions and we end up using substantial amounts of time having to correct their unlawful actions.
Shocking state of affairs.
We await Simons response. Please evidence to us how you know Charles Abraham did Not refuse my instructions during our phone call on 30th January 23?
Listen to the phone call Simon or check the emails i sent Charles accusing him of his refusal to take my instructions.
It’s not very often i want to make use of a lawyer, but when i do, i prefer they work with due care, diligence and honesty with intentions to assist with my problems….not add to them.

A One Star rating is over generous. This firm are a bumbling shambolic firm purporting to be a reputable firm of solicitors Despite 3 letters of complaint to the senior partner following a shambolic land transfer they have failed to engage. Do not trust them. When they get it wrong they bury their heads in the sand. Avoid like Covid 19.
