The service that I received from them was extremely poor. I was facing a custodial sentence and Solicitor MArk Dixo never attened the trial. Instead he opted to be a court usher on the same day of the trial in the same court house. I am reliably to that the service that I received from them or rather lack of was due to the the receiving and believe information about me that had been falsified by Brighton and Hove Social Work department, and which was subsequently fed into the Thames Valley area. This falsified information included that I was a rapist, a drug addict and a chronic and excessive user of alcohol. They were also told other horrendous things including that I abuse my own child and the was affraid of me. This smear campaign led to the poor service that I received from Selby Dixon, So I am told.
Earlier this year I asked Selby Dixon for my defence file. They refused and tried every trick in the book to withold it from me. In the end I had no choice but to contact the Legal Ombudsman, who found in my favour. Selby Dixon were ordered to hand over my file, apologise for their tardy service and pay me £100 compensation for very poor service. a copy of the Legal Ombudsman's Judgement is available from jerichoandbeyond@gmail.com.

When Mark Dixon did eventually hand over my defence file. It was very clear that he had taken the six months it took to pass my file to me, remove items that he did not want me to see. The file was also extremely disorganised, and parts of it were unreadible owing to the illegible hand writing.

I would have no hesitaion is stating that I rue the day that I ever became involved with Selby Dixon. It is not for me to tell anyone what to do. All I can say is that not all lawyers are the same. Some will do their jobs and some will not.
Before you become involved with them read up on them.
