Service was awful. We instructed Martin Smith & Co to carry out a simple Probate. Almost all the paperwork was wrong and we had to threaten to issue proceedings to get a response from them. They simply ignored our complaints. Now - not only have they not charged for the terrible work and service, they have paid us over £2,000 to stop us issuing proceedings.

I have just issued proceedings against Martin Smith & Co. They made terrible mistakes obtaining Probate with my Fathers Estate. I has to instruct a different firm of Solicitors to sort out the mess. HMRC agreed that the calculations by Martin Smith & Co were wrong and issued a refund in excess of £20,000
