The Panel was satisfied that grounds for intervention existed under Paragraph 1(1)(c) of Schedule 1 of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) namely that Matthew Robinson had failed to comply with the rules made under Sections 31, 32 and 37 of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended).

The Panel was satisfied that grounds for intervention existed under Paragraph 1(1)(m) of Schedule 1 of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) namely that it was necessary to exercise the powers of intervention in order to protect the interests of Matthew Robinson’s clients or former clients and beneficiaries of any trust of which he is or was a trustee.

They were cheap but you get what you pay for I guess .I believe they have been shut down .now.No returned phone calls or e-mails and a bad mannered “ Kerry” . Many complaints to SRA which eventually caused some action. They have caused untold distress still continuing as other solicitors have had to be found and they had to start all over again. The repercussions are enormous. The conveyance started well before Covid so that wasn’t the reason.

My late partners Will was lodged with this company and they dealt with the Probate
If you do not mind the following:

Eleven months to deal with a straight forward Probate
Phone calls not returned
Promised phone call appointments not kept
E mails not answered
Requests for same information given to them several times
A lot of the leg work duplicated
General information given not correct at times
Errors re proposed distribution of the Estate pointed out to them on more than one occasion
General incompetence of Staff

then this is the company for you!!
Needless to say I retrieved my own Will from them at the earliest opportunity

We used Matthew when we initially bought house and had problems to the degree that he didn’t charge us the selling fee.
Thought would use when redeeming mortgage,, rang to speak to the Conveyancer initially spoke to her assistant trainee who didn’t understand about Helpto Buy and need for a valuation, surveyor, then spoke to Kerry, Conveyancer told her I wasn’t happy with her assistants lack of knowledge, Who then told me they didn’t want to act for us and put telephone down on me, I did email Matthew with my concerns, but at time of writing no reply.

forged my signature on new legal documents 2 years later! i didn't know nothing about then asked me what brushes it under the carpet (what makes this go away the exact words from Mathew Robinson). disgusting and unacceptable. i would never ever use them again.
