ZERO STARS!! Avoid Nick Smith. Wasted 2 hours talking to this man about our initial requirements. Claimed he will be acting on the case straightaway but never heard from him again! Never received any paperwork and did not return any of our calls. When we finally got hold of him several weeks later he was rude and obnoxious. Very unprofessional I can’t believe he hasn’t been struck off yet!

Unprofessional and shoddy! Sick of chasing this man to get things moving. He blames the seller, but we have found out he is in fact the reason why the completion is taking so long! Hard to contact and his grammar in his correspondence is ridiculous. Annoyed that we didn't pay more as we would have been settling into our new home now.

This solicitor is so unprofessional it's untrue he has nearly cost me my sale he defiantly needs striking off. I have suffered so much stress caused by him looseing paper work saying he's sent paper work off to buyers solicitor & he hasn't on the day of completion he sent of for redemption figures from help to buy they can take up to 6 weeks to be done Wich he knew about I rang him to ask why he just give me abuse on the phone. The next day I rang help to buy they told me his secutary had rang at 12.15 that day which when I explained they could not believe it. I rang to speak to his secutary to ask why & what was happening she said they was going to get on with it & gave me a load of bull. Then he rang half hour later said he was pulling out & to get another solicitor has I had said I was going to sue them total lies but he's said he's not going to charge me which says it all. I am now with another solicitor & going to go through complaints law against him he's cost me two extra mortgages day off work phone calls but most of all so much stress & sleepless nights. NO STARS

I stupidly used this useless man Nick Smith I informed him I wanted a quick turnaround of 6 weeks. Firstly I gave my driving licence as prove of ID and never had it 2 months with nothing moving forward and constant phone calls(don't phone before 1.00pm you won't get an answer) I decided to call at the office and told them I wasn't moving until I'd spoken with him, he eventually came out of his office and threatened to phone the police, laughable as I was supposed to be his client. He did in the end agree to speak to me and said the buyers solicitors were lying when I said he wasn't responding to their requests. I threatened to report him and he told me he was discharging his services. Nick Smith then refused to return my documents from the house unless I paid £200, which I did because I had no other chose. I went to Angela Viney conveyance and they were brilliant. Nick Smith should be struck off!

Absolute joke of a company. No communication, unreturned phone calls. Sold my property at the end of January to first time buyers, I'm end of chain as I have plans to buy another property at the moment. So this should have taken maximum 8 weeks & yet here I am nearly 4 months down the line waiting for the contracts to be signed!!! Very frustrating & in the next few days could lose the sale of my property. Nick Smith solicitor needs striking off!!!

I gave this firm a simple conveyancing sale for £190k where no mortgages/ charges were involved. I even downloaded the relevant title documents and flood report for them then delivered them to their office. They sent out a draft contract then I heard nothing for 2 months. On 3 occasions the firm advised me that the purchaser's solicitors had not responded to the draft contract which led me to believe they were no longer interested so I agreed to sell part of the land to a 3rd party. Then the original purchaser supplied me with copies of 2 letters sent by his solicitor to Mr Smith. He had ignored them. When I asked for an explanation he sent me an email stating that he could "feel it in his water" (sic) "what buyers are worth running with". I sacked him. I am a former practising solicitor so I am well positioned to adjudge this firm as incompetent and unreliable.

First Class. We have used many solicitors in our time but to find one that is both polite and experienced has been great. Everything to do with the sale and purchase of our home was dealt with in a first class manner. Thank you

I used Nick Smith as I was buying a house. When he advised not to purchase the property I asked the reason why, he explained in legal terms which meant nothing to me. I said I didn't understand what he meant and he said 'I can't put it any clearer' and just repeated the legal mumbo jumbo. I didn't think it was unreasonable to expect him to explain it in layman's terms! He offered no advice whatsoever on what we could do to try and rectify the problem in order to buy the property. When calling the office I never got to speak to Nick, always the secretary and my calls never got returned as promised.

I wrote an email and asked for a reply the same day, I rang reception and the lady advised I wouldn't get a response the same day, it would be the day after. Over a week later and I am still waiting for a response. The solicitor acting on behalf of the seller of the property has mentioned in an email that Nick Smith is on holiday! I would not recommend this solicitor to anyone! I am furious that I handed over my hard earned cash to this joke of a company. They don't know how to treat their clients. Hardly surprising that they are advertising for business! Absolutely terrible all round.
