Recommended by the Barratts Housing team to deal with this firm as locally the best reported service. We were not disappointed when dealing with Hannah Dowling who kept us updated day and night! Marvellous service well done and highly recommend her.

Excellent service and the best value for money! I was overseas for the entire conveyancing process, but everything ran quickly and smoothly. I was kept up to date at all stages. I will definitely be using them again.

Hannah and Nicola at Whitby branch were fantastic, our job was not strait forward, kept us informed about the process by return of email each time we had any questions, Really felt as a customer they were doing everything they could as fast as they could. Having used other solicitors for house purchases, Hannah Dowling will be the only solicitor we will recommend and use in the future, Professional throughout and nice with it.

We used Hannah Dowling at North Yorkshire Law for our conveyancing. She was brilliant from start to finish, very patient with us, explained everything we wanted to know, answered every email and phone call promptly no question was ever to much for Hannah.

She even drafted our Declartion of Trust! - Thank you Hannah we don't plan on buying another house but will certainly recommend.

We faced a difficult issue within our conveyancing transaction recently and was extremely satisfied with the speed and knowledge provided by the Whitby team.
In particular Mrs Peacock was friendly and kept us updated throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

We enlisted Hannah Dowling at North Yorkshire Law in Whitby to handle our house sale and a purchase, and found her and her colleague Carys Lawrence unfailingly helpful and supportive during what turned out to be a very complicated process (our first purchase fell through). Considerably cheaper than other local companies (we sourced quotes from three), we cannot imagine that else could have been done. Our previous experience of solicitors usually involved constant chasing and waiting for callbacks after messages. Not so here. When Hannah was unavailable, Carys always was. Whenever I popped into the office to discuss matters, I was always seen within minutes. Emails were responded to promptly. We were protected from a legal complication that would have cost us money in the long term (the seller of the first house had debt secured against it). In short, we felt in safe hands right the way through a lengthy process, and you can't really put a price on that during such a stressful time as relocation. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Hannah and her team's conveyancing services.

The service was excellent, especially by your staff member (Emma Silkstone). She carried out the work in a pleasant and sympathetic manner, kept in close touch even though we are 3,500 miles away in USA and 5 hours behind the UK - emails went back and forth as and when needed!

We felt the charges were excellent, considering all the work needed to be carried out. We will not hesitate to make a recommendation for your business and Mrs Silkstone in particular - we only met her once when we arranged for the task to be carried out but immediately felt she was very competent to act for us.

I would highly recommend North Yorkshire Law. They acted very professional and always kept in touch either by email or by letter.
Very efficient and helpful. It was a difficult time for me after losing my step father, and had certain family problems. Pam was very supportive and gave me good advice.
Mr Boyd also very helpful and reassuring.
I will with no doubt use North Yorkshire Law again.
I can only say closing at lunch is a nuisance especially if you only have lunch times free yourself, but if you leave a message they do ring you back the same day.

Natalie and Nik worked incredibly hard to ensure both the sale and purchase of our properties went through smoothly and on time. They went over and above to keep us up to date, ensure paperwork was completed and various parties were moving forward to make sure everything was going through. Natalie answered emails swiftly, was always happy to talk and gave very clear guidance throughout the whole process. We are really impressed with NYL and would gladly recommend the professional, personal and efficient service we received to others. Thank you!

I am very pleased with the sevice I received. Pam is a very caring and efficient solicitor. All through the process, she explained everything in a clear and concise manner. Pam kept me updated throughout and always took the time to make sure I understood everything. I would like to say a thank you to josanne, the receptionist. I went to NYL in need of business advice. A business partnership broke down overnight and I quickly needed to resolve the situation and have an agreement drawn up to split the partnership. Natalie Foster was amazing, she was very friendly on first meeting her, she listened to the situation and advised me of the best options for what was necessary. I decided what was most appropriate for me and she had the documents drawn up within a few hours. I could not recommend her enough and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again should a situation arise.

Buying and moving house can be very stressful, however Natalie Froster from North Yorkshire Law was amazing. She expalined the process every step of the way and always kept me up to date. Natalie would reply to emails and call very fast and could not be more helpful. The day i moved in she emailed her well wishes, which i found lovely. I could not speak highly enough of Natalie and will be using again.

I have used North Yorkshire Law for conveyancing and have found them to be timely, professional and knowledgeable in all transactions. They were able to service my commercial and personal matters and great communication skills with clients. I will continue to go to them for all my legal needs as I have so far. A great caring firm. Highly recommend.

Having used NYL when we sold our property I found the conveyancing team to be honest, open, direct and thorough. I was updated regularly. The solicitor dealing with my matter spoke to my agent and me at every stage and even when the other side weren't doing what they need to do our solicitor did everything in his power to move the process along. This was such a help at an already stressful time. I would definitely use North Yorkshire Law again on any event as the whole team have a great personable approach to client care

Having handed over a lot of information to this firm to complete a Probate , first of all , one solicitor went off ill, and left me with no idea what was going on . Then the case was put into the hands of another Probate "specialist" , in another town and 5 emails and three phone calls later , I am still waiting to hear from someone, anyone in fact , who knows what the hell is happening . Not my idea to appoint this lot in the first place - now I need to begin all over again with another solicitor . Wasted time , needless expense . Would not recommend .

I don't know if the woman had had a bad morning in court but when Susan Truefitt arrived for the appointment half an hour late she seemed bizarrely hostile to me. As I tried to explain an upsetting family problem she looked bored and told me there was nothing I could do before I had actually got on to the reason I was there. I decided to not go any further with explanations of the problem I was facing and consulted another firm, Jepson and Co who were altogether more friendly, understanding and helpful. I cannot see how she is recommended for family mediation with her attitude. Would not recommend at all.
