I asked for a very simple witnessed signature at the bottom of a Statutory Declaration that I needed for a passport application. They said it will be £220 + VAT. Thank you very much , went to a very good solicitor 100 yards down the road and it was a matter of 2 minutes and £5!!! Rix & Kay , you are a disgrace and entertain the widely spread belief that solicitors are usually here to rip us off.... Shame on you and no, I would not recommend them to anybody

stumbled across this just now looking for someone to witness a stat dec on short notice. done plenty of these before and i doubt you explained what you wanted properly or maybe there was some misunderstanding as i have never been charged more than a fiver for a simple witnessing!
