I have had Robin Leigh from SA Law act for me personally and indeed have referred many of my own clients to him over the years, and I must say the service and expertise he brings to property matters is excellent. I will not hesitate to recommend Robin in the future.

Be mindful - they charge for every breath they take - reviewing your emails and texts, replying to your emails with lots of unnecessary or obvious information just to add up the time. A simple 2 hours job which was briefed initially turned out into 5 hours where majority of time was charged for correspondence regarding unimportant details! They didn’t tell that in the beginning. Finally they invoice your own credit check cost - what a bad form for any business professionals! Wouldn’t recommend unless you can afford not to count money at all.

Claire Brook from SA Law supported me throughout the completion on two properties. I just wanted to add a review for Claire Brook for all her hard work on the matter and all her support. The process was not straight forward with help to buy or the mortgage on either completion. Claire was very professional, personable and got back to all my queries in a timely manner.
I just wanted to offer some feedback as I am very grateful for the service received and for keeping me calm when things were not easy through this process.
Would definitely recommend the service and Claire to anyone going forward and the costing on the matter was also extremely reasonable.

Thank you Ellie for your feedback. I'm delighted to hear that you were happy with the service you received from Claire and her team. Buying property and moving homes can be such a stressful time and I'm glad you felt supported through the process. Wishing you many years of enjoyment from your properties.

I would give this 0* if i could. SA Law property team did my conveyancing. The person I used advised me to complete without confirming some very basic things that the survey had identified. The solicitor advised me to complete without having all the answers back from the other side and I didn't know better as was trusting this so called 'professional' to advise me. Upshot was many subsequent problems with the property that SA Law should have checked and queried but didn't, and me out of pocket for more solicitor's fees and other costs to rectify. Avoid this firm like the plague - they will take your money, do an absolutely terrible job and leave you with the consequences.

Not recommended. I retained this firm to do the conveyancing on a property, as they appeared to have experience and were reasonably priced. They exchanged on the property without checking whether it had planning permission, so I could not complete. This negligence put me in breach of contract with the vendor and started six months of time wasting, costly and stressful nightmares. The chap who dropped the ball initially held his hands up and reassured me they'd look after me by ensuring I would not loss any money, as they were insured and I'd be protected against the vendor coming after me for breaching the contract. Matters, were seemingly taken out of his hands and put in the hands of his boss. This man, I would describe as a bully and more not fit for print, suffice to say that I don't think he understood even the premise of customer service, let alone how to provide it. I was then passed to another who's role it was to handle such matters. Whilst initially pleasant enough to speak with, it became apparent that handling the matter for him involved spin, frustrating the matter and ultimately attempting to protect the firms interest at my expense. The upshot of this now concluded ordeal, was the paying back of my deposit, a refusal to indemnify me against the vendor and a meager offer of compensation which I accepted to be rid of them. That said, even this offer had to be painfully dragged out of them with the guidance of the Legal Ombudsman. I'm left feeling that morals or ethics don't feature on this firm's list of values and they do nothing to help the negative stereotypes of this profession.

There was no service. Quote came quick enough , I engaged the firm via email. After I presented in person for ID purposes, which was not a good experience both receptionist and office girl grilling me as to why I was there despite me explaining I was a new client and had arranged to visit and was prepared to wait to speak to my assigned solicitor, things did not improve. The next I sent email first thing Monday with a simple question by Thursday no reply or acknowledgement. I called to be told by the solicitor he had not even read the email, knew it arrived but had been busy. There was no apologies , I expressed that I thought this was not good service, he said if I didn't like the service level then he would return my money which he wanted paid before doing any work. Even that took another call to get. The solicitors attitude was that he had not done anything wrong ----so be warned if you want to pay top rates but accept could take a working week to get an email read then this is the company for you.
Please note one star was because offices were impressive and easy to get to.

If you live in the general area and suspect your ex might throw his or her money around in order to make your life miserable (and if s/he has any to throw around don't rule this out), then you need to book an initial appointment with Marilyn Bell then not use her so that your ex can't retain her. Bell seems to have no moral limit and will carry on taking cash from your ex to endlessly emotionally abuse you with threatening letters which have no legal basis. When you reply asking for the legal underpinning to the letter you will never receive a reply.

Fantastic service, fast response times and very knowledgable. Can't fault them really, well worth the fees charged and they're better value than many firms based in London. Would highly recommend.

In negotiating any final share purchase agreement (SPA), it is essential that the legal adviser shows a combination of tenacity in order to obtain the best possible terms for the client and flexibility in order to ensure that the transaction actually takes place. The team at SA Law amply demonstrated this combination and carried out a thorough due diligence process that led to a well structured SPA.
