General Legal advice

Salmon’s Stoke on Trent Solicitors provided an excellent and timely response to an issue regarding employment law.
The meeting was arranged promptly and was jargon free with pertinent advice given. I would not hesitate to recommend their services and would certainly use them again.
Costs are extremely affordable with full explanation provided regarding any fees/costs which could be incurred, which is always a major concern when seeking legal advice. This is established immediately on telephoning for the initial appointment and also at the beginning of the meeting which is very reassuring to the client.

I am not going to be marrying again. I hope so. If divorce is what you need please go through Salmons. The lady solicitor at Hartshill branch is superb. Salmons helped me during my divorce. I didn't have much to worry about. They were sympathetic and supported me throughout. Thank you. Fees were affordable.

Divorce

Whilst representing me in my Divorce,Salmons solicitor refused to consider mediator's finding's in that "the only way to mediate is through the divorce courts, as your husband will not mediate fairly or equally with you" (divorcing husband on grounds of unreasoanble behaviour); domestic violence was previously proved in court. Solicitor continued to 'represent' me for a further two years without any nearer finalising my divorce. The solicitor even contacted my husband's preferred estate agent (after my instructuctions to not appoint this estate agent), and consequently charged me for the phone call and time! After two years i sought advice of another solicitor, and consequently appointed the second solicitor to represent me. Only then did things proceed to court and finalise my divorce. A week before my ex-husband paid my share of marital finances divorce, Salmons sought court action to recover outsatnding costs i owed them for representing me (these costs were due to overly-prolonged divorce without gaining financial settlement); Salmons were fully aware of my financial predicament and recieved various payments from myself untill being able to fully pay costs upon husband paying my share of marital home etc. Upon salmons seeking court action to retrieve outsatnding amount owed by myself, I wrote expalining my divorce had finalised, and that i expected full payment from my ex-husband within the next ten days, and would then be financially able to pay all outstanding costs. Even though i had explained all openly, and paid the moment my husband paid me within the ten days, I recieved letters from Debt companies, advising me of court action that effectively stopped me from obtaining a mortagage to supply myself and my daughter a home, enabling us to 'move on' with our lives; indeed, we had waited three long years to be in a position to buy our own home (after living in council housing with detrimental social activities). My second solicitor was aghast at Salmon's uneccessary treatment of me (indeed, they were fully aware of my financial predicament and constraints that were fully dependent on my husband offering/paying my equal share of my home (which were prolonged due to inefficient representation initrially by Salmons). My divorce costs to salmons (which i fully paid) amounted to £5.000. The second solicitor's costs (that finally brought an end to my divorce through essentail court action) cost over £5.000. Uneccessary inflated costs that would have been notibly reduced upon correct initial representation by salmons. End result? myself and my daughter remain in our rented accomadation with little money (following paying all owed parties) without opportunity to gain a mortgage. My husband remains in our marital home without loss of provision to decently house our daughter
