You have to continually chase them. Then they just forward information. Our solicitor worked really part time hours and went on holiday for two weeks right in the middle of our sale and I didn’t feel like there was a proper hand over.
The people who work there are quite snobby and not very friendly or welcoming. They seem to be over-worked or maybe just because they work short days:
I would not personally recommend them based on my experience.

I visited Sherwood Wheatley's last Thursday to make a free Will, as advertised in my local Guardian newspaper, having been assured by their secretary, by phone, that there was no age limit. The paper's advertisement seemed to suggest that one should be over 55 - I am 46. Duly arriving, having taken the time off work and gone to the not inconsiderable trouble of parking - often a headache in Kingston - I was pleased at Alix's polite and professional service. The appointment took only ten minutes, and she'd write to confirm, she said. My dismay was considerable, therefore, to receive her letter of today's date, 9th June, asking for £120 + VAT to proceed, as the scheme was only open to those aged 55 and older. What a waste of time for all concerned, as neither the secretary of Sherwood Wheatley's, nor the solicitor were aware of the rules of the scheme in which they were taking part.
