I wasn’t pleased with the service.

A family Solicitor should be up to date on the legal requirements of their trade. I waited many, many months for my final Settlement agreement to end my divorce hell. I chased it up, even paid Simon Stowe to chase it up. Eventually I had to do some serious work to find out that an on line Portal System had been introduced { a full 2 years prior to my agreement submission}. Only the person submitting the forms have access to this, you can’t do anythging to process it if your solicitor has started it. It also has to be paid for on line.

Simon Stowe POSTED the forms with a written cheque and said hed`d done his bit as the cheque was cashed.

I discovered that the payment was refunded to him and a letter sent by the courts explaining it. The courts even typed the info in for the solicitor i think because Simon said they hadn’t done anything on line - yet there it was sat. All Simon Stowe had to do was pay and submit it.

Simon was adamant that he had done his job but was very willing to bill me even more to chase this all up. I didn’t get a refund for wasted chasing costs I`d already paid, I didn`t get an appology I just got told he couldn’t be expected to know all the changes to the system. A system he works in and has a legal duty to be fully aware of all changes and processes.

Lets just say I would never, ever recommend using this companies legal services based on my experience. Given I am legally liable for what I say you can bet I can prove my claim in a court of law if need be!
