Scammers. Sending out circulars on multiple occasions offering services in respect of property law matters regarding situations that they have no knowledge of and which in my case were simply wrong. Would you do business with a company that does that? Nor me.

I have been a medical expert for over 20 years. Through their agents I was instructed to see the client with a person injury without the medical records. The client could hardly talk English and all information was through the son (it was very limited).. I didn't receive the medical records for over 6 months after seeing the client despite me calling the agent several times being concerned about the quality of report under these circumstances. I did receive the records over 6 months after the appointment. Instead of working with me and asking specific questions from me the Simpson Millar Solicitors, I receive the following e mail from the agent: "they were extremely unhappy with the quality of your first report".

I had a car accident just over 2 years ago now (March 4th) and so far the handling of my claim has been a calamity. Documents not sent, errors etc. I have been so relaxed about the whole thing because I have worked in claims myself so I know the procedure and how many claims they deal with and how it can be difficult to stay on top of things and get back to people all the time regularly (unlikely to happen as so much work to go through. I also had my handler swapped which has not helped things (my new handler seems to be better), anyway I had dental report done which I have been looking to challenge, however, over a year has gone by now and it still has not been challenged which has been incredibly frustrating and I have no decided to give up on it, I just want settlement now. I have been emailing my handler and phoning for the last few weeks and have not had any response despite me saying in my emails and answer phone msgs that we are now in the final year before the limitation is up, I find that a bit unacceptable. Anyway the most important thing to me now is to get a good settlement and promptly(they gave me a settlement value however this was significantly lower than it should have been as there were some errors in the length of my injuries, I also showed them case law of a claim whose injuries were less than mine but received double the settlement they were offering me - however, this said every judge is different and will come to a different value...but still is good to follow) anyway I have just emailed to say please now settle my claim so I expect this to be done very quickly since I know the claims process and I also know a satisfactory value for my claim so for all you people out there wondering how quick they act from the moment you tell them to settle your claim and how happy you will be with the settlement value, you are about to find out as I will be giving updates on my claim and what is happening every week on here! At the moment we are on 1 star but can this be turned to 5 in the coming weeks/months.....tune in to find out!

I have been a customer of this firm before it became Simpson Millar (when it was Colemans ctts), I was having the worst experience ever!. My calls were being ignored, my calls were not being returned. I would call to find out the latest progress with my case and they would tell me things like they have been waiting for the other side to get back, so would wait the two weeks and call back only to be told things like, what was meant to be requested wasn't requested, my case has been moved to another department because they feel that it could be in the double figures (I should have known it was another thing to give them more time to do what they thought more important).
The physio that I was entitled to and that I kept begging for was never provided as they kept telling me that I had to go with one of their companies (which is not true!) and that the third party would not pay me money for physio because I could simply take the money and not use it for physio (I felt highly insulted), I gave them the details of the physio company that I wanted to use (to pay directly for my treatment) as I am a dancer and have seen them in the past and like their work, but, I never did recieve the physio treatment for the injury caused by the incident that my solicitors have been dealing with on my behalf. Not receiving the physio that I was entitled to has gone against me making a full recovery.
I was very upset and angry at the type of service I was being provided with, I received am email saying that someone had taken over my case for the 6th or 7th time, this infuriated me, the only thing that seemed to be happening with my case is that it was getting passed on, and on, and on, and on, until, one day I had enough! I wrote an email asking a few questions and requesting that someone more senior and capable deal with my case as I was not having anything explained to me, I was feeling like this company did not care about my case or more importantly me, then along came a man by the name of Mr Stanfield, since I have had Mr Stanfield he has been such a blessing, he has kept me informed of everything, explained everything where I did not have clarity and made me feel like he was in control where I was unsure or uncertain. Previously I was feeling like there was an agenda to make me lose my case and not help me get the right compensation that I should receive, I spoke to another solicitor, I told them what was happening to me and they informed me of certain information, they told me that what was/is going on was wrong and that there are a protocol and procedure that all firms must adhere to, compensation I should receive for the injuries, pain, life-changing situations that have occurred due to the incident. They also told me that I should email to request a more senior solicitor to handle my case, as I fought with many people handling my case due to me continuously being moved around and people simply telling me that they did not have all the information on my case to help me.
If you decide to go with Simpson Millar LLP, I would recommend that you request the assistance of Mr Stanfield, he is such a lovely and understanding person, he will take you through everything step-by-step, you feel that he cares and wants to help. Mr Stanfield is a professional and a true asset to Simpson Millar LLP, I hope that his work is appreciated and recognised. Thank you, Mr Stanfield.

This company suck and I wish I had gone with someone else. Over 2 years now since I gave the information and opened my case and weâ€™re no further forward. I always chase them and I get no response back from them. Stay away from them

Shocking communication in the Kingston office, to the point where they deny staff members are working there to avoid putting a call through! I have never experienced a company so incompetent at every turn.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, EVEN IF THIS WAS THE ONLY LAW FIRM IN THE LAND I WOULD NOT MOVE TO AVOID USING THEM.

If I could give zero stars I would!!it's been nearly 2 years since I opened a claim using these idiots! I've had to chase them all the way,even though I hired them to do a job. Have been assigned 4 different solicitors/ trainee solicitors and all have been absolutely shocking .regret ever finding this company to represent me.they have made me look rediculous to the other side and have argued with me all the way!!! I basically have 0 chance of now winning a straight forward case because the people who were supposed to be on MY side have ruined the whole case.wish I looked this joke of a "legal firm" up before using them.AVOID!!!!!!

If I could review this company with a negative number I would do so. We have had nothing but difficulty with them (the Manchester branch) and the service they have provided us. We call and email our solicitor almost daily in order to ensure they are on top of our account and we are basically ignored - we have left voicemails and messages with colleagues of our solicitor and don't get a response.
You are made to feel completely helpless in the process. We are first time buyers and as such need a little more 'hand holding' and yet as we near exchange of contracts no one at any stage has offered to go through the various legal documents we have been sent. I received the other day 14 attachments with various things to go through and I was advised to "start with the one at the end".
I've even had an experience today where my solicitor should have received responses to their enquiries from the vendors solicitor on Friday (by email), which they claimed to have not received, so today (2 working days later) they email the vendors solicitor to request they be sent again. This was at 12:30pm, when I called to find out whether they had been received I was politely informed the solicitor had finished for the day.
I cannot stress enough, please do not use this company of solicitors. The amount of stress they have added to us during the process just has not been worth the 'no move no fee' guarantee.

I am absolutely astounded by the level of poor service received here. Ever since the claim was successful it's been lie after lie and so far it's taken us 4 months to get our compensation. They have repeatedly told us the money has been paid in but it's never shown up and then they send a cheque which has bounced. We havent even received a letter of any sort for the last 4 months. The level of emotional distress this is causing is unforgivable. This firm should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat their clients.

first i am told they do take on the case, then i had to sign a form that i legally bond to them, they it took them months to respond, then i am told they cannot take on the case and in the end i found out they filed my case wrongly...

Really bad company, lied to me all the way through, tried everything to cut down the amount of compensation I could get and in my opinion stole my Â£1,600 costs which I never received even though I complained several times, Also they did not comply with a SAR which would have given me evidence of wrong doing, I got to be honest I would not trust this bottom feeder of a law firm stay well clear there is a lot better honest lawfirms out their.

They were very slow to respond to almost every action. It took them 6 months to get to exchange on a first time buyer no chain property. Numerous calls were not returned and a there was a consistent reluctance to commit to any dates or outputs. The quality of the communication was very low and unprofessional. Some ambiguous questions delayed matters further. There were few helpful people available and I had to continually resort to strong worded emails to push things forward. I would not recommend them to anyone for anything. Not an enjoyable experience.

Hi could you tell me the name of your solicitor please ? My vendors are using this firm almost three months on and my solicitor hasn't even received draft copies so cannot do the searches . I wonder if it's the same solicitor . I'm in so much stress because of this was suppose to be a quick sale no chain this is going to take a year at this rate if ever

I've never had so little contact back from a solicitor I am paying to do some work for me. Please consider before going with them. 8 months its taken to change a name on the mortgage/deeds and still haven't received a final confirmation from them. It takes on average 3 chase up emails to get a single response from them. Needless to say they are very quick at taking your initial deposit!

Totally agree. We are currently struggling with them. They've been ridiculously hard work throughout the entire process and we're almost at the end of our tether. Now considering turning up at their office as a last resort to get some sort of communication from them.

Can't recommend this firm. There is no communication from them at all. Emails are not read or even a return email to acknowledge they have been received. In following up an important email I was told it was left in the system unread for a week. Phone calls are not returned. You pay them money and spend all your time trying to chase them up. A fruitless task as they are always 'On the phone' or 'In a meeting' and the promised phone call back never happens.

In the middle of deciding to take my divorce file for investigation, I was charged Â£12.500 for my divorce twice the amount of what the real cost was , was pulled up in the street by Emma stating I had money left in a client account Â£184.00 , more like Â£5,000 plus , I had legal aid costs which was taken from my settlement money but never paid to legal aid board , was getting chased by legal aid board for over 18 months regards to my outstanding bill ( which Simpsons had not paid them but yet had the money sat in there bank account ) . Was given my over payment back 21 months after my divorce settlement , had to take my ex husband to court for child maintenance which I represented my self and did a better job with no law qualifications , my advice is represent yourself rather than use this company !

Just awful in every way. The conveyancer did not return emails or phone calls from me or they buyer, their solicitor nor the estate agents.
I almost lost the sale due to their ineptitude and basic inability to communicate.
I made formal complaints, only to be advised my expectations were unreasonable.
Quite frankly, the service provided was shambolic, and it was only by considerable intervention by me that the failure of the sale was averted. Avoid this firm.

I had Vicky Rhodes and her assistant Tom Herring.
Unable to contact Vicky and empty promises that someone will call back but never happened
Tom unskilled to give advice/updates and would always give useless conflicting information
Strung out a simple flat purchase for 5 months
Sounds like Vicky and Her useless assistant are overworked and unable to keep on top of their workload.
Noting would get done for weeks despite the promise that it will happen
0 stars for this firm....
Anyone using this firm and has Vicky as there case manager and her useless assistant ought to ask to have that changed

Awful, simple right to buy conveyancing job has taken a year to complete. Made a compliant to them via their internal procedures and they have agreed to compensation for disruption caused but still awaiting completion date to be finalised. Would not recommend.

Our house move is being made extremely stressful as a result of choosing this company to handle conveyancing for us.
Though I contacted and accepted a conveyancing quote from the Leeds branch of Simpson Millar, our case file was soon after transferred to their Manchester branch. Due to the phone at the Manchester branch either going to voice-mail, being answered with assurance that I will be called back (and then not receiving a call back) I have not been able to get a timely update at any point in the proceedings. As a result, on several occasions I have been left with no option but to contact the estate agent to request an update on our conveyancing from the seller's solicitor's perspective.
I most definitely would not recommend this company for conveyancing.
