At least seven years ago I went to transfer my property to my two adult children. This was to protect them from death duties [providing I survived the seven years, which I have]. My son asked to see the deeds. My name is still on the deeds which can lead to considerable expense as I am suing for divorce and my [unwanted] ownership will make a huge difference to any settlement. My daughter's name is not even on the deeds.

This is a big problem for me and maybe for my daughter. I trust that Slee Blackwell will do something to remedy this situation. I don't really expect to survive another seven years.

What service?!!! My aunt died in November 2017 and we (my brothers and I) are still waiting for closure. We were told we were beneficiaries from her estate - her bungalow and belongings went to our uncle. Despite several emails, phone calls and visits to the office, we are still waiting! We had an email saying that nothing could be done until after 19th February 2019 - a year ago!!
What on earth is going on??
Even if we are to receive nothing, we would like to be told so.

Recent dealings with this company has prompted my review. I have now dealt with them twice, unfortunately both experiences have been awful.

On the first occasion. A few years ago we wanted to update our Wills, something we needed to do before going on holiday overseas for 3 weeks, as we had some important changes to do with a recent business acquisition.
We ensured that we went in to sign the paperwork allowing plenty of time before we left and were assured that everything was in order.
Upon our return we were contacted to say there had been a mistake and the new will would have been invalid due to not being completed correctly
Slee Blackwell acknowledged their mistake but the whole situation was unacceptable and distressing.

I swore to never use them again... However, when recently selling a property, Slee Blackwell were acting for the buyer.

To cut a long story short. the sale took nearly 4 months. We and our solicitor were left extremely frustrated by delays.

Slee Blackwell for instance.
Decided to send letters instead of emails
Ask questions for information already provided
In the words of our solicitor "Does not read the information provided and asks for information that was not relevant"

We found the situation very slow and also very costly. the extra work and communications our solicitor had to make cost us in excess of an additional £2000
