Many solicitors tend to be disdainful towards their clients. Sprake and Kingsley is amongst the worst. If a question is awkward or challenging they simply ignore it. Letters generally go unanswered. They keep secrets from their clients (regardless of those clients’ legal rights). They are uncommunicative and arrogant. At the same time, their handling of basic issues verges on incompetence. If you need legal assistance, a quick Google search will probably give you more useful answers.

This firm has formed a joint venture with Norton Peskett to do divorces, see: http://nortonpeskettchildandwelfarelaw.co.uk
The bad reputation that Norton Peskett has acquired over many years now has spread to Sprake and Kingsley. Expect the same treatment from either of these firms.

I received 3 quotes before instructing and Sprake & Kingsley were bang in the middle. They installed me with confidence, worked surprisingly quickly and were personable at all times.

Why did you pick the middle of three quotes rather than the cheapest?

generally speaking the cheapest solicitors are not able to provide a quality service so if you want cheap then go ahead but beware it may cost you later in other ways.

Extremely poor - In December 2008 a complaint was lodged and the Legal Complaints Service judged the level of service provided by Sprake & Kingsley to be be "extremely serious" - the worst of four possible categories. See www.Stable-Software.co.uk/legal/LCS Adjudication.htm
