I made the mistake of engaging this solicitor based on a recommendation from the estate agent we used to buy a property. Through the entire process, the solicitor seemed to represent mostly the seller's interests rather than mine, from pressuring us to exchange without giving us any notice, to agreeing to release the deposit to the sellers without notifying us. It was a very poor and stressful experience. I would not use them again.

I used Streathers last year following the recommendation of my mortgage broker when we last bought a flat in London and was pleased with the quality of the work. We worked with Zach Reynolds (one of the property solicitors there) who was friendly, with a great attention to detail and pretty commercial too. The official fee was reduced (a bit) and eventually it turned out to be slightly more complex than anticipated but he did spend the extra time. We will probably use Zach again when we next need a solicitor in London.
