Unfriendly, unprofessional, poor communication and generally useless.

Sarah Mitchem was the conveyancing solicitor, assisted by her legal secretary Janet. Both ended up elongating the process by weeks/months and were regularly abrasive to other solicitors in the chain as well as unwilling to do basic legal work.

Advise avoiding and working with someone more reputable/capable.

It took over 5 months to exchange on our house I put a complaint in they said it wasn't their fault however chasing searches and others aspects of property purchasing is their job. Very disappointed wont use them ever again. Slow tedious and they never return calls and rarely answer emails. Rubbish.

This firm did not do the job I asked, did not return any of my calls and actually denied receiving any of them, 'mislaid' my divorce papers for a month, did not get paperwork out in time and still charged me a fortune for not doing the job properly, I wrote a complaint and they gave me 14 days to pay in full or they'd charge me interest and start legal proceedings. Have had to pay the large bill but am also contacting the Law Society for advice on how to recoup some of money for the job they totally messed up. My partner used Langley Wellingtons for her divorce and they were 100 times better!!

I used Tayntons for my divorce in 2009. They initially seemed very professional although alarm bells started ringing with the numerous mistakes that littered correspondence. This continued with schoolboy errors on Court papers and my dismay at the rings my ex-wifes legal team seemed to be running round them. I eventually lost all confidence and with a Court appearence looming regarding Resdiency of my daughter switched to Hughes Paddison who were totally different, actually listened to me and could complete Court papers without error and represented me efficiently and professionally. My experience with Tayntons cost me over £2,000 and my final dealings with Tayntons lived up to my expections: they double charged me for 3 weeks, sent me Private & Confidential correspondence in an unsealed envelope and said if there was anything else they could help me with... ...'Have you made a will?'

I did complete the Tayntons feedback questionairre, honestly and objectively but never had any follow up.

PS I put one star as there's no option for none!

At a time when I needed professional advice Tayntons matched my expectations. They provided an excellent and cost effective service. Giving me clear advice and ensuring thatcat all times I was aware of prospects and options. Great support from the whole team. A friendly yet professional service at a time of need.

Terrible service and overcharged would never use Tayntons again! Have since leaving instructed FLC Solicitors and the service and results of my case are now excellent. I am so glad I found a good firm of solicitors .

Would never recommend Tayntons to anyone! one star is to good for them but there were no lower options!
