I called them for a litigation matter, as we all do when we need a solicitor. As usual you fall into a young gate keeper, trying to extract ALL POSSIBLE INFORMATION, in fact to to figure out the size of wallet and or how distraught you are.. in a stupid matter for the 3rd time, I gave a lengthy agonising details, together with good number of sensitive data... I also explained my reasons of calling, that I was at the stage of LBA.. that I had hoped could be conducted by them, since I had all supporting evidence, and with the amount that I was ready to pay for 3 letters. all that was explained. of course the young lady was just there to trap a client and half of the details explained, and documents forwarded, were clearly not even looked at. she calls back 3 days later, indicating THAT HER COLLEAGUE.. without indicating any name.. will be dealing with the matter , asking me , to more shock and disbelief 1250£ per letter, and or for 3 letters 3500£ + VAT.. NICE !! I felt for the 3rd time trapped... having gone through the agony divulging the most sensitive information .. the 2 previous legal firms , the same old game... (we need to know everything, prior even divulging how much we charge on an hourly basis) they both respectfully sent me an email indicating that all of my data, based ON THE DATA PROTECTION ACT ENFORCED IN 2018, from their database equally from the trash bin. To my shock after all the wasted time, they took still the upper hand, to send an email indicating that part of my data will still remain in their database... Again one of those one sided laws.. uses and abused by many. NO TO MENTION THAT THEIR WEBSITE DOESN'T EVEN MENTION ANY LITIGATION.. indeed, kind of Polish builders one has to say... as they go along.. they would just give it a try... Therefore no, my advise , don't go near them... deception and misleading initial advice giving the fact that they are keen to help.. not to mention, NOT EVEN A LETTER OF ENGAGEMENT, WITH such a high amount.. just a 2 paragraph... that A colleague will be dealing with.. that if this is not to my liking, then she wishes me all the best... I EXPECT THEM to provide me a letter like the 2 other legal practices that I decided not to pursue.. WITHOUT ANY AMBIGUITY THAT ALL MY PERSONAL AND SENSITIVE DATAS THAT I PROVIDED THEM ARE FULLY REMOVED FROM THEIR DATABASE..
