WALKER FOSTER SOLICITORS

We instructed Walker Foster for a conveyancing transaction, and the experience was a total disaster from start to finish. Everything that could go wrong, did — and several fundamental steps that any competent solicitor should have taken were completely overlooked.

To name just a few: an AGA (Authorised Guarantee Agreement) had been in place previously but was not carried over into the new lease; we received no advice regarding our liability for stamp duty; the lease wasn’t registered despite needing to be; and crucially, there was no advice provided about a break clause. When we later requested a copy of the lease, they had misplaced it and couldn’t even locate where they had stored it.

At a time when we desperately needed guidance, we received none. Their dismissive reaction to our concerns was unequivocally unacceptable. We would never dream of instructing them again. Their service was, in our view, utterly appalling.
