We had the misfortune of our house buyers choosing Wosskow Brown Solicitors. What should have a been a simple process with a small chain and a first time buyer was dragged out unnecessarily for weeks by Wosskow Brown through their incompetence and 'compliance' team that moved at a glacial pace.

They were impossible to get hold of, either by their own client, the estate agents and other solicitors in the chain. The appointed solicitor was never available on the phone. When they did finally produce a reply it was often a one-line unhelpful email that did nothing to further the process and often didn't even answer the original question.

Wosskow Brown were even worse when it finally came to agreeing a completion date. At the 11th hour they decided to question and ask for documents for simple things, like the boiler and conservatory, that had been answered four or five months prior.

When a completion date was finally agreed with all the other parties involved, they pulled out the business day before at 3:00pm saying they weren't ready, despite being the first party in the chain and therefore having the most time to have been ready. It incurred extra costs, headaches and stress that should've been completely avoided.

They'll probably reply with some trite answer to this review about how I'm not actually their client. But read it as a warning to not get tied up with an incompetent, thoroughly useless solicitor.

If it wasn't for our constant chasing through our estate agent and solicitor, we would probably still be waiting for Wosskow Brown to pull their finger out and actually do something as they have zero initiative or drive.

The worst solicitors I have ever encountered. Avoid like the plague.

It was free but a long way away for a disabled person. The solicitor seemed manners free. He was appalled that a brain damaged person could dare to come and take up his precious time without bringing the relevant document. After a serious head injury, regular seizures and a serious brain haemorrhage, my memory is poor and being under a huge amount of stress was met with rudeness and reputation as if it were he that had the brain damage. This is despite your webpage claiming you to be friendly and totally misleading and I got the feeling he was too self important for me to deal with. It was an appalling experience and I left in tears and will never go back.
